Today Jake and James got into a fight at home. So they texted all their friends that they were going to have a battle at recess. Of course everyone showed up in the school prepared to see them fight to the death or something. Except for Echo. She came to laugh.
Eventually the two boys walked up in front of the crowd. Everyone surrounded them prepared to see them fight. The Jake spoke up.
"I once forgot how a boomerang worked but, eventually it came back to me." Jake smiled. The crowd went silent while Echo and Pj began laughing. They had just found out that it was a joke off with horrible jokes.
"A new type of broom came out. It's sweeping the nation." James replied. You could now hear all the the papyton children laughing with Echo and Pj as loud as possible.
"A prisoner's favourite punctuation is a period. It marks the end of his sentence." Jake shot back. Paulette laughed so hard at that joke he snorted. No one had left yet. Nope. Instead they laughed at every joke that was told silently.
"Have you ever tried writing with a dull pencil? Never mind, it's pointless." James snickered a bit. Daisy's rib cage felt soar for all her laughing.
"Police where called to a daycare where a three year old was resisting a rest." Jake smirked. As the crowd erupted with laughter he knew he had this in the bag. All he had to do was keep think up jokes until James related one, told one Jake had already said or ran out off jokes.
"So what if I don't know what the apocalypse means? It's not the end of the world." James smirked. Mistral and Cookie were laughing louder than anyone else now.
"Brah these jokes are outta this world." Fresh whispered to Pj which made Pj smile a bit. Meanwhile a laughing Paulette put his hand in Goth's while Goth snorted over and over again. He hadn't even realized anyone was holding his hand. Calibri on the other hand was recording this to show his dad these jokes. Meanwhile the jokes continued.
"What the grape stay when he was stepped on? Nothing he let out a wine." James joked.
"I used to have a fear of hurdles but, I got over it." Jake smile.
"Have you ever tried to eat a clock? It's very time consuming."
"Give up brother. My puns are koala-tea."
"Making puns hun? Toucan play at that game."
"You wanna know what tasted funny at inner last night? The clown fish."
"Yesterday I held the door open for a clown. It was a nice jester."
"Who's darts Vader's new wife? Ella. Ella Vader."
"My grand parents wedding was emotional for everyone. Even the cake was in tiers."
"I always trust glue salesman. I find they stick to their word."
"Never talk about infinite with a mathematician. They'll talk about it forever."
"I was going to look for my missing watch after school yesterday but, I never had any time."
"I don't trust people who do acupunctures for a living, they're back stabbers."
"Did you hear about a new kind of special bird? It can hold stuff for you. It's called a Velcrow."
"Tiny babies are delivered by storks but, big babies are delivered by cranes."
"AND THE WINNER IS JAMES!" Pj yelled with a grin. Other children joined in later.
"NO JAKE WINS!" Another kid screamed before the boy's could say anything. With a sigh the two brothers walked away. Echo as you could guess ran out of the chaos and joined her brothers. As they walked into the school Echo just looked at them.
"What?" James asked his sister. Echo crossed her arms.
"Okay, so we said we'd fight to make the school laugh. Ever since the virus took over under swap, everyone's been a little down. We just wanted to see they laugh and not be scared of a virus killing them anymore." Jake confessed. Echo just smiled and began walking a head of them.
"Echo!" James exclaimed. His sister turned around.
"You won't tell anyone this will you? If they know we didn't mean it then everyone will think we went soft." Jakes stated. Echo giggled a bit before she continued walking. The boy's quickly chased after her. They were going to make sure she didn't tell anyone this, ever.
