the confusing end (?)

Echo had been talking and then the room had gone white. She looked acted. Just a second ago she was sitting in a very old chair and had this cracked Skelton wrapping her arm up. She had been trying to talk with him. Yet, he had only responded in wing dings. That is until now.
It was pitch white now. Everything was gone. And now just the cracked Skelton stood there. Yet, now he looked very different. However she knew who he was. In fact everyone back home probably did. After all who didn't know doctor tasted, he long since dead grand father.
His purple eyes looked at her showing she had indeed gotten her eye colour from her grandfather like her dad had said. He smiled kindly. As for Echo, she just gulped. This was so odd.
"Wh...what just happened?" She asks looking around getting up from her seat on the floor. Her eyes were large and scared. Yet, Gaster just smiled happily. Instead of speaking wingdings he spoke in his old voice.
"Your Soul has officially left Your vessel." He smiled. Echo seemed sickly as she made eye contact with him.
"Y-....you mean I'm dead?!" She yelled. Her soul raced in a panic. Yet, once she realized her soul wasn't hurting she freaked out more. Usually when she was this panicked, her soul hurt. So why wasn't it hurting now?
"In a way yes...I mean it's rather hard to explain now that I think about it." He admitted aloud. Echo gulped making eye contact with him. She bit her lip a bit.
"Well...explain. Cause I mean I have a lot of question. You know like where everything went and why the hell the..."She stopped talking seeing it. She could see a bright white light a far distance away. Standing further back enough that her face couldn't be seen but a silhouette could be was another female Skelton. Echo slowly paled. That was her mother. A mother who has been long dead for years. "Why am I seeing my mother in a bright light?"
"Well when your father and mother worked with me on the void...we were able to get a piece of matter from the void. We originally did it because of soul irregular...like the one you had. There were no ways to heal it. Yet, he thought we found a way with matter from the void." He smiled. "And we had been experimenting with it when your mother announced she was having you three. She was so happy and so was your father." He chuckled to himself remembering her smile. Just remembering how happy his son and daughter in law were. His smile then faded.
"She died having you....you also died at birth." He admitted. Echo paled. What the hell did that mean? Was she part ghost? Has she been like a vampire this whole time?
"I...wait what?" She stuttered out.
"You died but your body remained. Your mother was dust. Yet, your father believed here was a chance you would live if your body was left...i however knew better. It was the first sighs of a soul breaking into shards....so I did something stupid. I took the only little bit of matter we had left from the experiments and injected it in you." He sighs. "It took a while but it worked. You were alive and breathing. I had done it."
"You....you did this to me? You made me live years in pain just so you didn't have to bury a grand child?! Do you know how much pain I was in for years?!" She blurted out anger getting the best of her. She just glared while Gaster sighed rubbing his temple.
"It's much more complicated then that..." he sighs before he kept going. "I got more matter from the void and kept doing my experiments during the first year of your life. I was putting more into your body to keep you alive...and it worked for a whole year...why else do you think you only had problems with your soul until you were six..."
"How does that validate anything else I went through?!" She snapped.
"Y...I didn't make it happen. I found your mother's journal and....well....She messed with your genetics. She made you gave the soul condition you had. You were to be our new test subject since our others died..."
Echo was at a loss for words as she stared at the figure. The women's figure stayed and got a bit bigger. The figure seemed to have chains on them and had cracks on their skull. It was as if they had been tortured. She heard a scream leave the light making her jump. Then the figure was gone. Then the light guy more heavenly.
"Keep going." She stuttered out.
"Your father found out the day I was sucked into the core. I told him about your mother and what I had done....then the core collapsed in on itself...he had tried to save me but...well half the lab was swallowed up...and half of us woke up here. Our genetics and souls had been mixed with the core. Then we were given the same choice you are being given now." Gaster smiled sadly.
"And what would that be?" She asks slowly.
"You can go to the light whenever you want . You can go now. Or you can stay here and try to find a way to come back. To make the core a liveable place for all. We've done what we can with where you stay. We've helped protect core frisk but, we can't stop the void from destroying other worlds." He sighs. "If you stay you'll have a lot of work to do. You'll have powers of the core just like core frisk but much stronger since the matter of the core is in your DNA."
"What's that way?" She asks pointing at the bright light.
"Lots of booze. Lots of friends. Lots of old relatives hoping to pinch your cheeks." He smirked making echo smiling a bit. "Eternally happiness."
"What happens if I stay?"
"Loads of adventure. You can help us fix the void. It'll be hard but, it's going to be filled with adventure and booze and jumping from dimension to dimension. So what's your choice?" He asks aloud.
Echo looked between him and the light. She seemed to question some thoughts. "No more pain no matter what I chose right?" She asks.
"Yeah, no matter what." He Smiled. Echo nodded looking back and forth again. Her eyes seemed to squint as she grew lost in thought. She began wondering mentally what to do.
"Which way is PJ? Which was are my brother's? Which way is there peace for all?" She questions aloud before looking at Gaster.
"Which way is best?"
