~Hiccup~

We bring Astrid back to Berk. She rode with me, and mainly slept the whole ride. I carry her up the pathway and into our house. I lay her down on our bed, and tuck her in. She moans, but stays asleep. I kiss her head, and go back outside.

There I can see all of the destruction from the attack. Houses are torched, or destroyed. But the further up I get, the less damage there is. Our house was lucky, and didn't get hit.

I go to the center of the village and see people working together. It's about sundown, which means the attack was two days ago. How could we not see it coming. But the thing that scared me most was, Drago wasn't anywhere to be found. No one spotted him on any ship or on land. That's what really disturbed me.

Gobber walks up to me. "They've got most of it cleaned up while we were gone," he says.

"That's good," I say.

"How's the lass?"

"She's asleep at home. She has more color to her skin now."

"Good. I know how much you two feel for each other. You better get back to her. You've been through a lot these last two days. I think they'll understand."

"Okay. Thank you Gobber for everything."

"Eh, don't mention it."

We part ways and go our separate ways. I go back to the house. Astrid is still asleep. I see her in her clothes and armor still. I pull back the blankets and pull off anything that would be uncomfortable for her to sleep in. Her skirt, amor, boots, and her arm warmers. The entire time she doesn't make a sound.

I cover her back up. Then pull off all of my armor, and flight suit. Then lay down next to her. I cover up and wrap my arms protectively around her. She stirs a little.

"Hiccup?" She barely mumbles out.

"I'm here. It's okay," I say to calm her.

"Thank you."

"Anytime Astrid. You know that I'll do anything to save you."

A grunt. "I love you."

"I love you too." I kiss her head before falling asleep.
