Chapter Nine

"I think I asked you a question, didn't I?"

Yixing's eyed peered deeply into mine, as if to drag the reply from in between my tightly shut lips. His head was slightly tilted, one of his eyebrows risen, giving me that ordinary intimidating-Yixing look that additionally held fury between his features.

"What did you see in the file, Jiye?" He repeated his question with more accentuation on each syllable, I could observe his tongue lusciously clacking against his moist lips.

"I didn't," I coughed quietly, averting my gaze. "I didn't even understand what I saw, I'm not at IT expert."

He leaned back in his seat, raising his other eyebrows while crossing his muscular arms over his broad chest. He was suspicious. "You opened the file that said finances?" Narrowing his eyes, he slightly shook his head. "Are you my accountant, Jiye?"

"I am not your accountant, Yixing." I sighed and wiped my forehead with the back of my hand, crystal drops of sweat had amassed near my hair due to his changing behavior. My voice was slightly shaking. "Anyways, I don't understand why computer science regards finances, but it is not my place to ask, I guess."

"You guessed right." A smile sneaked its way onto his lips as his eyes traveled to something or someone behind me, leaving me dumbfounded. "I do not tolerate snooping in my files, so restrain yourself next time."

"What if you're not—"

He let out a chuckle and leaned closer over the table, his hands disappearing underneath the surface all of a sudden. God, he was so handsome almost like a waterfall of molten gold, a sweet sin, ones biggest desire and even greater obstacle of resistance. His voice displayed this picture well, his bodily posture and faint smile even better, or worse— the evaluation laid in the heart of the observer.
"Just call me, kitten. Whenever you need me."

I opened my lips to speak but was held back when I perceived a presence right beside us, one that made my company roll his eyes in slight annoyance. Two perfectly polished wine glasses were placed on the table, making my eyes trail up to the person who was about to pour fine, yellowish liquid into the transparent glass. Yoon was slightly grinning while filling a good third of my glass, before turning to repeat his actions with Yixing's, who by the way was highly unsatisfied by the boy's return.

"Thank you a lot." I showed the polite waiter my kindest smile considering he also rescued me from stuttering some awkward excuse to Yixing. I immediatly catched Yixing's hectic eyes on my lips when he heard the special gratitude, instead of remaining completely and rudely silent like himself.

"You are welcome, your food will be served soon." Yoon's words were kind and warm, but I felt something terribly cold the same second that he spoke and bowed his head politely. It wasn't a mental or emotional case, it was certainly physical, and I perceived it when he finished filling Yixing's glass. "Enjoy your evening." He said.

By the time our waiter had taken a step back from the table, I was entirely assured of the sudden cold being skin against my exposed knee, more precisely a slender hand, the delicate tips of fingers, Yixing's silent and secret instrument of torment underneath the table. My own fingers curled around the stem of the wine glass as I glared aimlessly down at the table, avoiding any kind of eye contact.

Yixing forced himself to a somewhat friendly response, it resulted in a pressed, artificial laugh and a clearly not sincere statement. "Thank you."

Yoon soon left, but Yixing's finger remained circling around my knee, occasionally sliding closer to my inner thigh before withdrawing with a smirk on his lips. He made me cough out in surprise, much to his amusement.
"What are you doing?" I enclosed the stem of the glass immediately and drowned half of its content in one go, earning a surprised expression from my opposite.

His free hand glided over the table to hold the glass expertly between his thin fingers. "Me?" He smiled while nearing the edge of the glass to his curled lips. "I am just enjoying some wine with my date and making sure she's not that nervous. Cheers, kitten."

"You're funny." I placed my palm over his freezing hand that remained ghosting over my skin, attempting to push it away while lifting my glass a few inches with my other. "Cheers," I leaned closer over the table with a triumphing smile, pushing his fingers off the round bone. "Daddy."

My flesh curled around the rim of the wine glass and I let the dark liquid enter my cavern. Meanwhile I felt his fingers wind around my own under the table right before they would have separated, making my body freeze for a split second in that my eyes stayed glued to his.

"I must appreciate your choice of nickname." He placed his glass down onto the table. "I mean, this entire dinner is to apologize for that night in that you're voluntarily submitted yourself to me."

I hadn't gulped down the entire content, some of if was almost spat into his face as I apprehended his statement. My eyes were widened again, mouth fallen agape in a gasp. "Sub—" I faltered for a moment. "Submitted myself to you?"

He laughed— that ordinary I know exactly what I am doing this very moment-kind of laugh, the one that was usually ensued by his magic use of words that wrapped me around his slender fingers like thread. But unlike thread, I remained sticking to his skin like chewing gum thanks to his smooth like honey words. I was fully aware of it yet had no chance of escaping the simultaneously hidden allure. It made my thoughts dangerously hazed, added to the intoxication of wine that I had almost gulped down as a whole with merely two sips.

"That's what you chose, didn't you?" He cocked his head to the left and placed his hand underneath his chin. "But let's go back to how you chose this name initially." He looked at me for another second before once again reaching out for the wine to refill our glasses. "I am very interested in your choice and you know, thoughts and reasons."

"It was a random choice." My only words after I had been completely focused on the way the wine collided against the concave walls of the glass.

"I'm sure about that." He chuckled, clearly dissatisfied with my answer, clasping his hands in the table. I found his almost black eyes over the table, my head slightly lowered, enabling my hair to slide to cover my eyes from behind my eyes.

I cleared my throat, shaking my head so that the strands of hair glided back to their initial place. "I'll tell you when you tell me about the file I found." I was slightly nervous, my voice portrayed differently.

"Wow, you're a really curious cat, huh?" This time it was his voice that displayed something I inferred as nervousness, or at least irritation. He was not as confident and self-assured as before, pushing his glass further over the surface as temporary distraction.

"Is that a yes?" I probed.

"What?" His eyes trailed back up to mine in a matter of a second. "Those files do not concern you, even as my assistant. Will you now cease the endless talk around them?"

I stepped from one ridicule and misery into the other, this night was certainly not my finest hour.

"But you were the one start—" I hesitated. "You started talking about them, didn't you?"

He narrowed his eyes down to me in w threatening manner, sucking in his cheekbones. "I just wanted to test if you were really blunt enough to snoop around like Yura claimed." He softened his features unnaturally rapid. "Now let's talk about more important things, this ridiculous waiter is making his way towards our table again."

It was there anew, maybe much weaker than it has been at times in the office, but I could detect a spark of nervousness and fear somewhere in his eyes at certain moments. Its savor was bland, Yixing was determined to not disclose his profound emotions. It could be explained in the way he turned his moods and expression on and off like switches in his heart. Sometimes, he could switch my very own as well, some that were not within my own reach, some whose existence has been foreign to me just previously.

Yixing had entirely turned off the switch labeled "nervousness" or "displaying too much of your actual feelings" by the time Yoon gladly served our dinner, making our conversations majorly cease. Instead of it, he had excessively operated the button that made a dark aura encircle his every word and bodily movement. Inside of myself I felt a slight change just as well, namely the fact that I debilitated much more upon the reason behind his thousands switches, and everything beyond. But, moreover, he started my blur, or the alcohol did. I didn't know at this point anymore.

The kitchen's recommendation was a delightful beef dish served with few other side dishes that mostly functioned as decoration. Although the food was almost instantly melting inside my mouth, I was not able to enjoy a second of it due to the nerve wrecking silence that fell upon the two of us. I placed my napkin at the side of my half emptied plate, pushing my chair back.

"Excuse me for a second, I'll use the restroom." I looked at him through half opened eyes as I stemmed myself against the table, the minority of my balance lost in the grave traces of alcohol in my blood.

"Of course." Yixing smiled sweetly, wiping the corners of his mouth with the same red napkin. "I will be waiting for you reply in the meantime."

I was about to turn around until his words arrived to me, my cheeks flushed due to the remembrance yet denial of what he attempted to convey. "Huh?" I raised my eyebrows.

"You know what I mean sweetie." His moist tongue left a wet streak over his plump lower lip as I kept staring at him in an almost penetrating way.

"Uh-" I let out a nervous laugh. "Sure."

I finally left our table and followed the way to the restrooms that Yoon had pointed out at our arrival, clutching my hands in front of my body. My gaze was mainly focused on the walls and not anyone in particular, simply to avoid spotting anyone from work. The sole person I did not disregard was Yoon himself; he snaked his way through the numerous tables, taking orders and serving drinks, lifting his head to give me a frank smile as I passed by him. I returned the gesture with a slight not of my head, before entering into the tiled ladies room in the small corridor.

It was deserted or at least it seemed so. None of the stalls or sinks were occupied, leaving me with a free choice to return to sanity and clear wit for at least a tad bit of our time here.

I took out my phone before entering one of the stalls, disappointedly staring into my blank screen that read no new messages or notifications. I turned on my heels that screeched over the tiles. My time of stay inside was short, I repositioned and straightened my short dress that had turned out to be majorly inconveniencing this entire evening. My hand was about to enclose the knob that enabled me to lock the thin door, before it was jiggled energetically from the other side. Instinctively, I took a step back, the back of my knees coming into contact with the metallic trash bin located behind me.

"This one is occupied." I called out, hoping for the person to notice that there were three fcking other empty stalls with widely opened doors, unlike this one.

There was a tensed pause in which the jiggling of the doorknob came to an end, similar to the sudden tension of all my muscles. I relaxed and leaned my body forward to repeat my disrupted action anew.

"Oh." No woman had a voice this deep, and if I say no woman then it is accurate. "But I was looking for the beautiful girl that dropped her something here in front of the sinks."

Watch me disintegrate upon hearing this rich and golden-like voice, hiding deep and profound seduction in mere pitched and accentuation of single syllables. Watch me futilely trying to saturate myself, failing as I in complete stiffness stared at the blank back of the door. At least until he knocked onto it with his knuckled perhaps, causing a small noise to echo in between the tiles.
"Jiye, open up."

Seriously, what the hell was this man doing in the female's restrooms? I was aware of him being utterly and confidently smug about his actions, but this could cost us our dinner at this place.

"Yixing, I'll be right back." I coughed and pretended to rip of some toilet paper and blow my nose. "Please wait outside."

"This was not a request but a demand, Jiye." His voice had turned much darker and serious and demanding, making me once again take a step back in the narrow stall in fear. "If you won't, I can also open it myself. Suit yourself."

Instead of obeying to his orders, I took a seat on the back of the toilet lid silently, my eyes never testing off the slightly moving door. At this point I did not dare to hold him back anymore, I was somehow thrilled to drive him crazier, just to see what he was willing to do once he'd succeeded in opening this damned door. Maybe he'd turn into a lunatic, maybe he'd drag me out of his in no matter of time— only patience would tell.

"You know," the door once again trembled, but this time it was mainly the doorknob that twisted and turned while he enjoyed a chuckle. "My initial plan was to take you out for dinner then take you home for dessert, but my stomach is strangely craving something," He gritted his teeth and hissed through them. "Something sweet already."

The small switch in the doorknob twisted completely, signaling that the door was successfully opened from the outside. One kick of his foot was enough to let it crash against the wall of the stall, exposing me, innocently sitting on the seat with rounded eyes focusing on his tall frame towering before me.

"Before we devour our dessert you should know that I'm not into vanilla." He chuckled, a smirk adoring the corner of his lips as he tilted his head. "And that you dropped this." He held up a lipstick, clearly the one I had out into my clutch earlier. "In front of the sink." It must have fallen out when I checked my phone.

His arm stabilized him at the side of the doorframe, his entire body leaned foreword as mine arose from the cold lid. I extended my hand as I took a confident step forwards, decreasing the space between our bodies and snatching the metallic container out of his fingers. "Let us go back then."

If one knew the real Zhang Yixing, which weren't a lot of people I supposed, one could infer from the lustful look in his squinted eyes the following events. However, he seemed to enjoy delaying the moment of its occurrence and deeply glared into my excitedly sparking eyes. In hindsight it was hauntingly clever to increase the dreadful tension between our bodies, but in the moment it made all my strings of patience tear apart at their seems.

I could find his hands flying to my shoulders in speed of light before giving me a decent push back into the bathroom stall, my body almost prepared for the impact as I kept observing his facial expression. He stepped inside and did not hesitate to close the door behind himself again, before turning to me with s stern expression, unreadable.

"Sit down again, kitten." He spoke slowly, determined, sexily. "Now."

Switched turned— I sat in obedience, my hands placed onto my thighs and clutch dropped onto the tiled, white floor. "If someone comes inside—"

"I looked the main door of the restroom, don't fret." He smiled as he crouched down in front of me, letting his eyes wander around me as if I was a piece of art. Deeply inside our heart, we both knew that he was the real masterpiece among us too, perhaps even beyond.

"Fine." Now it was my turn to look down to him, considering he kneeled in front of me and placed his cold hands against my warmed thighs.

"Now tell me," He let his flat palms glided up my naked thighs with pressure, never loosing sight of my eyes. "Why daddy?"

"Destiny." I giggled as his thumb tickled my inner thigh. "It just slipped out of my mouth without much thought. It must have been created only for you."

He let his head fall into his neck at his following laugh, contently tightening his grip around my thighs. The satisfaction my replied gifted him with was visible on his face, his white row of teeth showing, before he watched me again.
He lifted his eyebrows and leaned close to my face, his voice was a whisper. "I have one question left."

"I'll answer it."

His hands slid back down to my knees in an agonizing and slow manner, making my eyes tremble as they arrived at the bone again. His fingers were freezing cold, intensifying every shiver, but they felt more than just right against my skin. They curled around the curve of my knee, carefully spreading my legs apart.

"Does your underwear color match our dress code?"
