Nico's POV:

It turns out that Apollo had actually volunteered to be Camp Director for whatever reason and he kept looking at Will and smiling.  Will seemed nervous when Apollo wouldn't actually say the reason but that can't mean anything right?  Maybe it is because it's his dad and he feels awkward around him.  Probably that, couldn't be anything else.  My mind went to a different area of my brain that I definitely don't like.  No not that, Will doesn't think that and his dad doesn't either.

"You okay?" Will said which startled me and made me go bright red, well not bright red actually more like a light peach.   Which just looked like a healthier version of my skin tone. 

"Yeah fine absolutely fine." I said trying conceal the heat on my face.  Will put his hand on my head.  

"Are you sure because you are really hot."  I looked at him quizzically but he didn't seem to notice and just grabbed hold of my wrist and led me to the infirmary.  

"I'm fine why are you taking me to the infirmary?" I protested. 

"I'm your doctor I can do check ups on you if I want." He answered but kept looking behind him.  

"Why do you keep looking behind you?  What are you going to do to me that people can't see?" I asked.

"Getting away from my dad, I don't want to talk to him." Will answered still leading me to the infirmary.

"Why don't you want to talk to him?" I asked.

"He is persistent with something that he wants to find out about me so I am going to avoid him as much as possible even if that means hiding in your cabin."  He explained.

"How would hiding in my cabin help that?" I questioned.

"He is the God of the Sun, your cabin is pretty much the opposite of what he is comfortable with.  Therefore he wouldn't go in your cabin." Will seemed pretty proud of himself that he had thought of ways to avoid his dad.  

"So you have a secret, I see."  Will looked at me with horror.

"You aren't knowing it either so forget about it." Will said and turned into the infirmary making me sit down on one of the beds.  

"Why am I here again?" I questioned, if he was trying to avoid his dad the infirmary was probably a bad place to be.

"I'm going to do your checkup now so I don't have to do it later.  I can basically avoid my dad for longer." 

"Oh right okay then, continue then because I hate this." I said

Will just continued by checking my temperature, listening to my heartbeat.  He also gave me some ambrosia to try to gain back energy that I had lost when shadow travelling.   Usually I would hate this type of attention or attention at all really but when it is Will giving the attention it is somehow different.

"Ah Will I have been looking for you everywhere." Apollo walked in and went straight for Will whilst Will was looking very sorry for himself.  

"It's because I've been avoiding you everywhere." Will muttered.

"What was that?" Apollo asked tilting his head to one side.

"Nothing." Will answered avoiding eye contact with him.  

"Can I steal you from Nico for a minute?" Apollo asked.

"Dad that isn't professional, I'm doing a check up on him." Will protested.

"I'm sure Nico won't mind" Apollo turned to me "You don't mind do you Nico?"

"I...ummm." I tried to think of an excuse to rescue Will from the situation he has been avoiding.

"Great, come on Will." Apollo said leading Will off to another room and Will was looking over his shoulder back at me.  Will's secret couldn't be that bad.  Will is too nice for him to have anything major to hide.   Right?
