"So, Paige. What influenced your decision to apply at Blair University?"

"Well, Mrs. Smith is it?" The older lady furrowed her eyebrows.

"Yes well, I've dreamed of coming to Blair University ever since I was a little girl. Not only is the education great, and it's a private university, but the sororities here have inspired me to come here! Specifically at A.K.A. Not also known as, I thought that was the name at first which was silly of me. At Alpha Kappa Alpha? It's been my dream since I was 10."

"Yes. Well, I see you're applying to study in Business?"

"Yes! Yes I am."

"Think long term, assuming you graduate, what are your plans for after?"

"I want to open my very own fashion store! Eventually, once I get a good following, you should follow me on insta b-t-w, I give great tips on a good skin and hair care routine. I have almost one mil followers. Anyways, once I get a good following, Eventually I want to open my own brand."

"What type of brand Ms. Parker?"

"In clothes, accessories, makeup. All the beauty stuff you can think of."

"Mhm. Well, Ms. Parker, this has been interesting. But, this concludes our interview! Any questions?"

"Yes!" Ms. Smith was stunned with the amount of enthusiasm that was just expressed.

"When are applications for A.K.A starting? Ooh! Also, when will I know I've been accepted? Also if you could, tell the girls at A.K.A that I need to move in A.S.A.P, I do not want to be in a dorm. My hair will like literally break if I don't have my privacy to do my hair care routine. And-"

"Ms. Parker!" Paige sits up in shock.

"Take it slow. You will have to stay at a dorm until you would get accepted into a sorority-"

"You think I'll get in! Oh I hope I get in. I'm just so excited."

"Yes, but don't get too excited. A.K.A is not easy to get into. Anyways, we will send you a letter letting you know if you got in or not. Sorority sign ups start once everyone starts moving in. Good luck Ms. Parker."

Reality hit Paige like a airplane. But in a good way. This was it. Her chance to get into the college of her dreams. More importantly, if she does get in, which obviously she is, she'll be closer to getting into her dream sorority! How is she going to sleep!

Paige picks up her pink designer purse and walks out of Ms. Smith's office with a bright smile on her face, saying her hey's and hi's to people as they pass by. Once she gets into the parking lot she spots her best friend outside her car, slamming her thumbs against her phone keyboard.

Paige starts running like a chihuahua due to her pink heels being so high. She finally gets to the car.

"Amber!" Amber looks up not realizing her friend had just ran practically a mile, you gotta add five more steps with the heels.

"Are you okay? Are you having a seizure?" Paige starts waving her arms trying to catch her breath.

"No! But! The interview went pretty well. I hooked the lady up with my Instagram which, she'll have to let me in because those skin care and hair care tips are going to go great for her. She'll have to let me in."

"Oh.my.god!" Amber starts screaming along with Paige. People in the parking lot start staring, wondering what kind of breed these girls came from. They came from Malibu, California in case you are wondering.

"Oh, but now I'm sad."

"Wait, girl why?" Amber gets a look of worry.

"Because! You're moving all the way to Texas and we can't be in the same sorority as each other. I'm really gonna miss you."

"Paige! I'm gonna miss you too. But we'll always be besties. Right?"

"O-F-C my B-F-F-L-A-B." They both shriek again then decide to finally get into the car.

Paige gets into her nighties and starts heading for the bathroom to do her routine. She had just gotten back from a small celebration with her parents at Jorgie's.

Once she's done she heads back into her room and sits on her bed. She instantly starts thinking about what life is going to be like once she starts school. When Paige was 10, she started getting into makeup. It started her whole brand. She saw a video online with these girls all dressed in glamorous clothes, having the time of their lives. It became her dream. To join Alpha Kappa Alpha.

Paige's phone lights up and she instantly grabs it, somehow thinking it would be the school letting her know she got in. But it wasn't. It was her boyfriend, Ryland.

From Ryland:
Hey babe, I have some great news!

         From Paige:
What's up?

From Ryland:
I got into Harvard!

From Paige:
Omg babe that's great! I have good news too!

From Ryland:
What's that?

From Paige:
My interview at Blair went great!

From Ryland:
Hey that's great babe. Listen, I'll talk to you later I'm kind of busy.

Paige sighs. Ryland seems to only care about his own life. Why can't he be excited for Paige just once?

Paige puts her phone down on her end table and cuddles up into her 50 pound pillows. She smiles knowing her life is only going to get better.

A week goes by and all that Paige can think about is A.K.A. Her excitement was a little too much to bare. It seemed to be all she could talk about.

Her B-F-F-L-A-B, Amber, had moved out to Texas a couple of days ago. It was weird to Paige not having her around. But she did not care. The fact that she had planned to swoon the girls at A.K.A had taken over everything.

Every day Paige would go and check the mailbox for any letters. She checked her email every 2 hours. Paige was determined to get a spot at Blair.

Scoot over to Blair University, where the president and board members got together to discuss their next students and whether or not some students worked hard enough to get in. Currently, they were starting on Paige. A moment Paige had no idea was happening. The decision that will change her life.

The board members all looked at each other, then back at the application. In shock by all the extra curricular activities, why was this girl trying to get into Blair?

"Well, I mean, she is fully qualified." The president says.

"Yes, but, she's so, ditsy." A board member speaks out.

"Ditsy indeed but, our campus is so boring. Maybe, people will get influenced by her. I mean, she is very interested in fashion."

"And pink." A board member says while lifting the pink printed paper to show her love for the color.

"It would be unfair of us to not except a wide variety. She's made it here just as much as anyone else has."

"I guess you're right president." The board members all look at each other. Let that be the day that the legacy of Paige Parker, had begun.
