Allow me to begin

Sherlock and John glanced nervously a each other.

Of course, The Doctor noticed this. His smile turned into a frown.

Sherlock remembered suddenly that he was smart and can figure out this very strange man. It would take some concentration however. Dammit where was his violin when he needed it?

Sherlock scanned the man.

He looked young, but his eyes looked old. Very old. Decades, even centuries. He's obviously seen a lot of horrible stuff.

He had a bit of a nervous look of panic. This was mixed with guilt. He had done something very bad.

The man wore a smile an raised his eyebrows ever so slightly. He was spontaneous and fun-loving.

"Doctor, you've done something in your past that has had an effect on you. Do you care to tell me?"

"How did you know that?" The Doctor sneered.

Sherlock chuckled. "It's quite obvious actually. Your eyes are older than the rest of you, meaning you've obviously been through something that had a major negative effect on your life. Wait hold up new idea, you've been through some kind of war. That explains the panic and guilt."

The Doctor just stood there.

"Sorry about him he's just--" John apologized.

"Brilliant." The Doctor finished John's sentence. "He's brilliant."
