"I like you too Dhruv..." I say cutting him in between. A smile formed on his lips not believing his ears. I looked down at our hands and then back into his eyes. "I know you're right; we hardly know each other and for that I should know everything about you. And by everything I mean the past too."

As soon as those words came out of my mouth; his hands left mine and he got up from his place; while I was still sitting there looking at him. Thinking did I ask something that I shouldn't have asked him. He paced from left to right and back again.

"See it's not haste; if you don't feel like telling me. It's okay; I can understand. "I say in a low tone.

"No...no...No one day or the other you'll get to know but... I just not feel like sharing it with anyone right now."

I don't know why but that sentence hurt. Tears formed in my eyes; while I was blinking them away. He doesn't trust me? Ain't I trustworthy?

"I trust you Ishika... it's just me that I... I don't know...Like how to explain it to you; but one thing is for sure." He said getting down back on his knees in front of me.

"What is it?" I ask looking in his eyes. He put his palms on my cheeks.

"If you get to know about it you'll leave me." He says wiping away the tears that have now strolled down my eyes.

"I don't know what to say Dhruv... right now we just confessed that we like each other and now you're telling me that there is a trust issue with you."

"I like you Ishika and I know it's more than just LIKE." He says looking down at my hands. He took a hold of my hands and brought it close to his heart. This sudden movement of his made my heart beat loud and fast; his heart was also beating in the same rapid speed.

"This is what happens to my heart when I see you; feel you around; talk to you or touch you." He says looking into my eyes.

"Dhruv; but~"

"Ishika don't force me into telling you the truth." He says cutting my sentence.

"Alright" I say "But promise me you'll tell me about your past."

"I cannot promise"

"Why?"

"Because promises eventually break and that hurts much more."

I was not satisfied with his answer about promising but deep down I know he is right; and I cannot deny it.

"So what now what do you want me to do?" I ask totally not expecting this to happen any time soon.

"Well; we both like each other and you want to know about me mostly about my past and I'm not ready to share it with anyone. So..."

"So what?" I cut his sentence getting up from my place; standing in front of him.

"So let's just be friends- for now." He says in a lower voice; looking totally defeated.

I wipe away the tears that had strolled down and walked out of the room without even saying another word. I didn't expect it to be so much difficult for him to tell me about his past. I manage to form a small smile on my lips on seeing Anu coming towards me.

"Hey-" She says her smile fading and a little frown on her face on checking out my face. She was about to touch my cheeks when I pulled away from her and "Hi, you'll made sandwiches? I'm damn hungry ya."

"Yeah; go and... check your kitchen." She says in a tired tone; luckily she didn't question me any further about it. But what did she mean by checking my kitchen. I ran into the kitchen only to see flour spread on the floor and Pree was over nik putting Nutella all over him; their full clothes covered with flour; ketchup and nutella.

"STOP IT RIGHT NOW!" I yell.

They quietly got up and "He started first." Pree complained.

"Oh really... who started boys v/s girls?"

"You just shut up okay I was talking to nish not you. Who asked you to interfere?"

"Oh hello go get your eye check up I'm a boy and if you talk about boy v/s.."

"I SAID STOP FIGHTING." I yelled louder. I normally do not be so mad but the past half an hour was enough for me to burst out on anyone I find first. They both didn't utter a word after that.

"Good...Now clean the mess first and No Fighting." I say pointing my finger at them. They started cleaning up the mess quietly; I went and sat at the dining table. Nish came from behind hold a plate of sandwich in it "Here it is; eat and compliment me." He says keeping the plate in front of me and sitting on the side chair.

I quickly grabbed the tomato sauce that was already on the table and poured it over my sandwich and started eating; eating would be a wrong word I am actually devouring it.

"Slow baby; slow it's not running anywhere." Nishant says leaving a light laugh.

I saw Dhruv entering the hall; what was he still doing inside my bedroom? It's been five mins I left the room. One side of mind is like 'Let it be Ish if he doesn't want to tell you don't even bother about it' and the other side is like 'I want to know about it'

"I'll leave now..." He says making his way towards me and nish.

"Hey no; dude you can't leave; until and unless you have sandwich that I've made." Anu says coming in from the hall.

"What? Did you just say that YOU made them?" Nishant asks Anu in a surprised tone.

"Yeah... um... well I took out the breads from the fridge and put butter on them." She says mocking at him.

"Whatever it is; Dhruv here take this." Nishant says handing him another plate with sandwich in it. I am so hungry that I'm feeling to take his and eat that too. Nish have made delicious sandwich I must say. He can be a perfect snacks chef 'lucky anu'.

He took the plate and sat opposite me. It was hard for me to concentrate on my eating because I was well aware that he is still staring at me. I look ahead straight into his eyes "Do you need something?" I ask raising my eyebrow.

"Um... no..." He says looking down at his plate and start to eat.

"We're done." Pree and nik says getting out of the kitchen.

"Good; now Preeti go get fresh in my room and nik you wait until she is done." I speak in a demanding tone.

Preeti makes her way towards my bedroom while Nik just sits on the empty chair.

"So; did you like the sandwich?" Nikhil ask Dhruv and me.

"It's awesome." I say looking at my sandwich.

"Yeah it's nice." Dhruv compliments right after me.

"So Dhruv let me tell you something." Nik says.

I look at nik raising my brows at him; while nishant had the same reaction.

"What is it?" Dhruv asks the suspension clear in his voice.

"Don't ever get trapped into this love drama; it's the hardest thing to get out of." Nik suggests him.

"Oh I see; thanks for your suggestion; so are you in a relationship?" Dhruv enquires.

"Nah- my parents did love marriage and so I'm just informing you." Nik replies.

"Dhruv; Don't listen to him he is insane." We all turn our heads to see preeti walking in our direction.

"Alright." Dhruv says leaving a chuckle.

"I'll go and get fresh." Nikhil says and run into my room.

We hear anu's phone ring she quickly pulls out her cell and indicates us to remain quite.

"Yes mom." She says in a jolly tone.

"Yeah will be there dw." And she cuts the call 'her shortcuts' i say mentally and nod my head.

"Guys; I have to leave mom is back home." She says grabbing her purse from the sofa and getting back towards us.

"Alright; I'll come to drop you." Nishant says standing up from his chair.

"Yeah; it's time for us to leave too." Nik says getting out of my bedroom.

I wonder how early he have cleaned himself. It's not even been five mins approx.

"So Pree and Dhruv are you both leaving too?" Nik asks looking at them Preeti got up immediately while dhruv was looking at me.

"Dhruv; you should finish that sandwich which is onto your plate." Anaita says pointing at him.

"Yeah; I will." He says and takes a bite.

"It's not a hurry; you stay opposite the building; so take you're time. We will leave now." Anaita says giving me smirk.

I got up from my place to walk them towards my main door. "Bye." I say and then all leave in one go. I slowly close the door behind me and walk back; while walking I notice Dhruvs' gaze are all on me I'm just shivering my breaths have become heavy and my heart is thumping with nervousness. I was still mad at him for not telling me anything... but still looking at him I forget all my queries; stress; worries... in all... ALL.

"Listen." He says and brings me out of my thoughts. i grab the edge of my dress and look at him.

"um.. yeah?" I say trying not to look or sound mad at all.

"I know you're mad at me right now but please try and under-"

I put my hand in front indicating him to stop and luckily he does stop too. i look right into his eyes and we stare at each other for... wait i don't know exactly how many mins. Until he gets up from the chair and walks towards me; in a fraction of seconds he was just inches away from me. He leaned in a little and.....
