"Finally the time is come." Preeti mummer to herself.

Keeping our fingers crossed we go upstairs.

Aniata holds my hand nervously, I give her a light squeeze and smile at her. She smiles back at me. We all stand in one line in front of the judge's.  The Anchor started to speak through the mic and announced the third winner.

The D.I. High School is the third winner, the anchor announced our school name as we placed second. The winner was none other than his school.

My heart skips a beat when I heard his school was the winner and we were second.

I look towards Nikhil his jaws are clenched tight but have managed to keep up a small smile on his lips. Anaita and Preeti hug each other as we won second price. I knew the boys weren't happy but could not help and kept a smile plastered on their face.

My eyes were searching him as his team mates were enjoying cheering and hugging each other. But I just couldn't find him, where he must be?

"I wish Dhruv  would have been here." I heard a girl from his team whisper to a boy standing next to her.

What was it so important that he had to leave his team on a competition that turns out so good for them?

After clicking photos and receiving the awards we went back to the alloted class to gather our costumes Anaita and Preeti were too happy compared to the boys. I look at them giving a small smile. They don't acknowledge much and starts packing up.

"Well done students." Mrs.  Singh interrupts us again now with a broad smile on her face. "You'll did pretty well." She looks at us and applaud.

Getting out of the class and the school we meet my mother she is busy talking to someone on the phone 'i guess it must be my dad'. "Mumma." I call and she waves her hand to us. She disconnects the call and walk towards us congratulating us on winning the second price.

We all sit in the car while my mom drives. Our innova is again one of my family member . All thanks to my parents and their savings. The drive back to home is quite no one speaks only the radio is filling in the quite atmosphere.

All of them got out at their respective places and now only mom, Anaita and I were left as Preeti stepped out of the car. "Is everything alright the boys seemed sad."

"Actually aunty he boys naa they are gone insane they don't see that at least after so much of hard work we've got second price, they want the trophy." Anaita speaks up quickly all in one breath and leave a heavy sigh.

Mom drives back and reach Anaita's  building "good night aunt good night Ish." She opens the door and gets out. We wave her bye and leave. We reach our building fast cos we stay three building ahead of Anaita's building. After reaching the parking lot and switching off the engine mom looks at me with an assuring smile. Slightly I smile back at her.

Walking towards the elevator mum presses the 5 button and the lift takes us to the fifth floor.

Reaching home I quickly go towards my bedroom to get freshen up and changed my clothes. Comming out of the washroom I see Rutuja my rutu is fast asleep yet snoring.

"Ishi will you eat something?" My mom called me out from the hall. "No mom I don't want to eat anything now." I say and quickly get on the bed I kiss rutu on her right cheek and switch off the lights of the table lamp. I think of him, his black eyes with his dark black messy hair and the way he was dressed up in today.

And THAT DAY THE DAY I SAW HIM....
