Following on from 'Christmas Special: Kitty Cat'.

You are a (A/T) for now....

What's up kitty cat?

"Ha ha! Your going to have to try harder than that Egghead!"

"You insolent blue pest! Hold still!"

Letting out an idle laugh Sonic dodged Eggman's latest robots attacks as if it were child's play.

"Come on Eggman your not even putting up a fight!" Sonic teased landing multiple hits.

"Why you! I'll show you!" Baldy McNosehair yelled.

Eggman then rummaged around his Eggmobile and produced a lazer gun aiming at his enemy.

"Take this you blue fuzz ball!" He cackled.

But just as he was about to shoot the blaster it was snatched from his hand at such a speed it was if it vanished!

"What the!?" Eggman exclaimed.

"Ooh this looks fancy."

Both hedgehog and human alike turned to see the new addition to the fight, as a particular (A/T) stood their looking at the fancy gun.

"Oh hey (Y/N)!" Sonic greeted happily.

"You idiotic (A/T)! Be careful with that!" Eggman bellowed.

"You mean careful like this?" She asked aiming the gun at the robot.

Before Eggman could yell again (Y/N) had shot the gun reducing the robot into a fiery inferno.

"I like this thing." (Y/N) giggled ignoring Eggman's angry yells.

"Nice job (Y/N)." Sonic chuckled.

Sonic was about to ask her why she'd popped up so early randomly, but Eggman interrupted.

"You interfering pests! I'll be back soon enough with a bigger and better robot! You'll see! I'll obliterate you Sonic, you and your annoying girlfriend!" he whined like a spoiled child.

After that weak threat Eggman made his exit his Eggmobile smoking and spluttering.

"So (Y/N) why'd you pop up like-

But Sonic paused when he saw (Y/N) had vanished.

"That...?" he finished confused.

Looking around he couldn't see any trace of her.

"Where'd she go off to?" he asked himself scratching his quills.

With that he took off running around town trying to find her, wondering why'd she'd dashed off like that.

Meanwhile....

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I can't believe Eggman said that!!

The moment Eggman had made the comment of her supposedly being 'Sonic's girlfriend' she had dashed off to a secluded corner in town, mainly out of embarrassment, but also in the fear that Sonic would joke that that could never happen.

Did Sonic take is seriously? Does he think me weird now for running off like that!?

Crouching on her knees her hands covering her scarlet face she continued to think of what Sonic would be thinking about the situation and scold herself for acting so weird.

He must think me so weird now! She cried in her head. And then she didn't make things better for herself when her over active mind came up with scenarios of him laughing at her, or worse laughing at the idea of them being in a relationship. 

Why am I so stupid!?

At that final thought a wave of heat rushed over her and a cloud of smoke blocked her view with a loud *POOF!*

What the!?

Coughing because of the smoke she suddenly felt different, and smaller...

Why am I standing on all four limbs!?

Her heart raced at the sudden change in her physic, size and maneuverability. So in a panicked state she ran from behind the shop she had been hid behind and into the street. Everyone was so much taller than her!

But the most confusing part was why everyone she passed made 'awww' noises. Using her head she calmed down long enough to run up to a near by shop window and look at her reflection.

I've turned into a domestic house cat!!

With her head spinning she was wondering how this could have happened. The last thing she had known was she was embarrassed and then literally poof! She was a cat! Pacing back and forth her tail swishing in confusion she tried to get some order to her mind.

Right, I need to calm down, I need to calm down. I've got to find help... maybe Sonic is still about!

With a new plan she did her best to walk around town, but it was hard dodging bikes...

"Watch it cat!"

Little children trying to pet her...

"Ohhh a cute kitten!"

And dozens of people in the streets! Running as fast as she could dodging constantly she was suddenly knocked onto her back when she collided with something!

"Hey there kitty, are you in a rush?"

Shaking her head she realised she'd run into someones legs, and that someone being Sonic! Who was looking down at her with a smile.

But (Y/N) was frozen, he obviously hadn't recognized her but that meant very little to her. She suddenly didn't want him to see her like this, even if he didn't know it was her. Her pink muzzle made her act before her brain and she suddenly ran away from him scared he'd figure out who she was.

"Hey where you going kitty!?" he called after her.

No! No! No! I can't have him see me like this! I'll find help from someone else! Anyone but him as I've already made myself look like a fool enough in front of him!

But when (Y/N) stopped after her wild running she saw she's wandered into a back alley, it was dark, night was beginning to fall and a brisk autumn air tore through her. Whimpering she lay down on the ground feeling her eyes watering.

I want to go home, and I want to be back to normal....

So much had happened over the past few hours, she'd turned into a cat, nearly been run over several times, had countless children pulled her ears and tail and she'd run into a part of town she didn't even know. And now she was hungry, lonely and scared she'd be stuck like this forever.

"What are you doing here city cat?"

Bolting up to her paws (Y/N) saw a fearsome looking black street cat approaching as he bared his fangs.

"I-I'm lost..." she stuttered in response her ears dropping as she backed away slightly.

"I don't care what you are, get off my turf." he hissed.  

"O-okay I'll leave." she stuttered again.

But before she was given the chance to leave the cat bolted at her with a vicious yowl biting into her front left leg!

"I said get OUT!"

In a frenzy she sprinted out the alley way whimpering her leg bleeding and stinging. Making it back to the main street evening had settled in and she didn't see much point in looking for Sonic again as he'd probably gone home.

Why did I run away like that? I'm such an idiot...

At her self bullying she started to cry which translated to sad yowls, but her cries caught the attention of someone.

"Hey there again kitty."

Jumping a little from the voice she looked up to see Sonic there again with the same small smile. Giving a small sniff and stepped up to him deciding she wouldn't be an idiot this time.

"Sonic I got turned into a cat and I don't know why, and I met this really unfriendly cat, I'm really tired and just want to go back to normal." she said to him tiredly walking up to him.

But her speech to him was only quiet meow's.

"Well you seem to like me a bit more now." he chuckled kneeling to her height.

He then timidly went to pet her head and before (Y/N) could stop herself she lent into his touch glad for some comfort.  

"That's a pretty nasty cut you got there." he commented.

"I know, I told you a nasty cat gave it to me." she whined. 

What happened next knocked every tinge of tiredness in (Y/N) to the moon. In a quick motion Sonic had picked her up in his arms and started walking back town.

"What the heck are you doing! Put me down!" she meowed hopelessly her muzzle pink again.

But Sonic was oblivious to her protests and kept on walking, but many will agree that when you are with a animal, its very natural to talk openly to the small thing. And that's exactly what Sonic did, starting to talk about his jumbled day.

"I was looking for my friend (Y/N) as I wanted to find out why she ran off earlier, but I guess I better take you home and get that wound sorted out. I'm sure (Y/N) can take take of herself." he sighed a little.

"You idiot it is me! And I'm fine!" she tried to tell him.

"I'm sure she's fine but I still worry about her." he continued.

This added to (Y/N)'s current blush.

He cares about me? Maybe it would have been fine if I didn't run off....

After a few more minutes though something dawned on (Y/N) as Sonic unlocked his front door having made it to his house.

I've never been in his house before! I need to get over myself, I'm over reacting! It's just a house!She screamed inside. 

For an instant she considered running off again but that thought disappeared at the sound of Sonic closing and locking his front door.

Ahhhh! I'm stuck here now! I don't know how to handle this!

Her thoughts were broken when Sonic placed her gently onto his sofa.

"Now I think I've got a medical kit...." he mumbled to himself as he walked into his kitchen.

But (Y/N) felt the sudden instinct to lie down and snuggle into the plush cushions of the sofa, and she was unaware of a purr erupting from her chest.

It's so warm and soft!

It escalated so she was rolling around on the cushions being eloped in the warmth of the plush cushions.

"You enjoying yourself there?"

(Y/N) stopped in an instant seeing Sonic chuckling at her holding a plastic box. He then kneeled on the floor in front of her as she stayed on the sofa and he cleaned up her wound and bandaged it up nicely.

And Sonic was surprised at how little the (F/C) cat didn't move.

"Right all done." he announced.

"Thank you."

"Heh, your welcome." he laughed not knowing she had actually said thank you.

He then put the first aid kit back in the kitchen before also taking a seat on the sofa next to (Y/N), as her tail swished not knowing what to do with herself. But she was made jump when Sonic started to gently stroke her head.

On a sort of instinct she once again lent into his touch enjoying the attention, and then she started purring when he also strokes her back.

"You like a good fuss don't you?" He chuckled at her.

But she ignored his comment just enjoying herself.

Maybe I should just stay like a cat forever, no responsibilities, less chance for me to embarrass myself. I think I'd be fine with that.

She then glanced up at Sonic and saw him checking his phone with his spare hand, and he gave a large sigh when he saw no message notifications.

"I would have thought she would have at least messaged me. I hope she's okay." He mumbled.

And now (Y/N) felt guilty, obviously as a cat she couldn't let him know she was alright, and that was clearly worrying him. She tapped his leg to get his attention and try and tell him she was okay.

"Sonic I'm fine, can't you see? Try and figure it out."

But of course he couldn't understand her.

That night (Y/N) refused to go up stairs and happily slept on the sofa. But the next morning Sonic was up early telling (Y/N) he was going out looking for her. She tried to protest again but he left quickly, thinking the (F/C) just wanted another fuss.

And she couldn't follow him because he'd locked all the doors and windows, most likely so she didn't get out and run away or make her wound worse. She spent the day looking around the house, which was fairly ordinary, and she even dared to venture into his room.

It smells just like him, she blushed walking in.

It was basic with the bed half made, cream and navy blue colours. Then she hopped onto the bed and nearly fell off again when she saw a picture on his bed side table.

It was a picture from about a month ago when her and the gang had some sort of party. Amy had been busy with a camera and gotten a shot of Sonic with his arm around (Y/N) as they posed for the photo.

Why would he have this?

This was the thought that (Y/N) pondered over for the rest of the day, Sonic didn't come back till late evening and she was waiting for him. But she was taken aback at the sight of him, he looked shattered, his quills a mess and black eyes starting to form under his eyelids.

"Sonic what wrong!? Why do you look so tired!?"

He caught onto the little cats concerned meows as she patted his shoes as to get his attention and managed a small tired smile.

"Hey kitty, I still couldn't find her." he sighed.

He flopped down onto the sofa and she tried her best to comfort him the best she could, which he replied to with petting her again.

"I searched all the zones she'd been to, and none of the gang have seen her either. I just hope she's okay, but she's never disappeared like this before." He said sadly.

The next day he went out looking, again. And (Y/N) was left waiting, again.

It's been two days and today will be three, I need to get back to normal some how and let Sonic know I'm okay! She thought as she paced back and fourth at the front door.

As she paced she tried to come up with a solution as to how she could possibly get back to normal, but nothing was coming to mind.

Think, think, think...

But her thoughts were quickly shattered when the door slammed open and Sonic came walking in, and accidentally stepped on her tail!

"OW!"

She yowled violently jumping into the air! So high in fact that she collided with Sonic but she felt something warm brush against her lips...

Tumbling to the floor awkwardly she was dazed by the quick events.

What on Mobius did my lips just brush against!? Did I just accidentally kiss him!?

"Oh man! I'm really sorry kitty!" Sonic apologized straight away.

But when he turned around expecting to see the (F/C) cat he only saw the open door. His ears dropped at the thought of her running away, especially with her wound.

When in actual fact as soon as (Y/N) had fell on the floor a pink sort of mist had formed around her, so she'd dashed out of the house and hidden fearing what would happen. And as soon as she was hidden, *POOF!*

Suddenly (Y/N) was back to normal! No more paws, she could stand on two limbs, she was once again a (A/T).

I'm back to normal! But how!? Good now I can-

"Hello!? What is it Tails!?"

(Y/N) stayed crouched down in the bush she was hidden in when she heard Sonic on his communicator through the front door.

"Eggman? Alright I'll be there in a sec."

(Y/N) watched as Sonic closed his door and dashed off at his usual speed, presumably to where Eggman was.

Not hesitating she jumped from the bush and started to run after Sonic.

I've got to let him know I'm alright!

Meanwhile Sonic had already made it to town and was battling one of two robots, Tails was taking down the second with the Tornado.

Stupid Egghead! I don't time for this! Sonic raged in his head.

He was trying to take the robot down as fast as he could so he could get back to finding (Y/N), and possibly that (F/C) cat, but oh no! Eggman just had to attack!

But in that instant it was as if all of Sonic's problems were solved.

A (A/T) came out of no where kicking the head of the robot's head off, causing it to crash to the ground completely destroyed!

Landing gracefully (Y/N) couldn't help but smirk a little at her work. She then turned to face Sonic to let him know she was alright, but she was stunned when she was suddenly locked in a hug.

The moment he knew it was her he'd wrapped his arms around her tightly. Letting go he placed his hands on her shoulders looking her dead n the eye.

"Where were you?" he asked, relief flooding his voice.

"I, uh... got an urgent call from my brother and my phone smashed so I couldn't let you know, I'm really sorry...." she made up on the spot, impressing herself.

He looked like he wanted to be angry but the fact that she was safe made everything else seem a little meaningless.

"It's alright, just... give me a call next time, I was worried." he sighed in relief.

"I will I promise." she smiled.

But then he noticed the bandage on her arm.

"Hey, what happened to your arm (Y/N)?"

"Oh! That? Th-that's a long story..."
