The Brawl
There's a brawl in my chest between my lungs and my pride
I feel the rumbling to my toes
In my voice I run and scream then hide
I'm peeved at them all, at the world, at myself for so many reasons I wish would disappear
The classics that are claimed to be the best, annotate or die, but I can't get past the first page because I'd rather live than commit - wait I can't say that it'd be insensitive. That'd be suicide.
The illogical thoughts of the people in the past to present day
People I don't know and people I do know and people I've heard of and people I wish I never knew of
Annoying
I'm truly pissed at myself because I have plenty of homework I could have done and I'll be in so much trouble if I get bad grades before Winter break, but I must not care enough.
But I don't know and that makes me livid because I want to know everything.
Why did they do that? Who did such a thing? How can they think that? What could it be?
I'm angry. Nothing has changed although they say we've replaced the old with the better, but all I see is sameness with a shiny bright sticker to cover up the watermark of Failure.
I'm atrocious. I don't even know if I used that word right but it sounds right. All of the negative connotative words, be my blanket for awhile so I can pity myself instead of changing the world.
I forgot what I had to say. I'm still in battle for as long as it will brew
