"Gbemi!" Juliana screamed immediately Gbemi stepped into our room, Juliana jumped on her that instant and their screams filled the whole house while Crystal and I exchanged looks.

"Look at you, you look so beautiful," Gbemi commented after they've finished screaming as Juliana released her from her grip.

"See who is talking, you look so breathtaking," Juliana replied and Gbemi smiled.

Then Juliana turned to Crystal and I, we were both seated on Crystal's bed watching a movie together before the entrance of Gbemi interrupted us.

"That's..."

"K.Y," Gbemi completed and Juliana turned to her in surprise.

"You know her?"

Gbemi shrugged, "Not really, I only saw her earlier, she brought Tise's lunch."

Juliana nodded in understanding, "Okay, anyway, she's my best friend, the Kanyinsola I told you about," then she turned to me, "And K.Y, this is Gbemi, she's the one that helped us get this job, you know right?"

"Yeah," I bobbed my head, "I'm really grateful to you Gbemi, thanks a lot."

Gbemi's smile increased, "It's nothing, I hope they're treating you well and I believe the only bastard in this house hasn't crossed your path."

I scrunched my brows, "Who is that?"

"Karen."

"Oh, not at all," I haven't even set my eyes on her ever since the last time.

"Better, if she tries nonsense, don't dull it for her oo, she has no authority in this house," Gbemi said and I nodded. Karen must be unloved by everyone in the family.

"Hey Crystal," Gbemi turned to Crystal who had been quiet all along.

"Hey," Crystal greeted with a small smile.

"Anyway, I'm inviting you guys to my birthday party this weekend, the I.V will be sent tomorrow and no excuse, you guys should come oooo."

"Sure," Crystal responded and I glanced at Juliana who looked ecstatic about it.

"We'll surely be there," Juliana added and I dashed her an hesitant look which she waved away. I'll surely talk to her about the issue later.

"Anyway, it's getting late already, let me start going home."

"Is your place not far from here?" Juliana inquired and Gbemi nodded.

"Yeah, my house is number 62, so, you can pay me a visit any time."

After bading Crystal and I bye, she walked out of our room with Juliana. My phone made a beep sound, instantaneously I rushed to my bed to pick it hoping it was Zayd, only for it to be a message from MTN, I hissed sharply before throwing the phone back to the bed.

Juliana walked in seconds later and Crystal quickly bombarded her with questions.

"You know Gbemi? How did you know her? When did you meet? What..."

Juliana cut her short, "Calm down, let me explain," then Juliana sat by her and I went back to my bed.

The movie forgotten, Juliana and Crystal went on with their discussion while I kept on checking my phone for a message from Zayd but it didn't come. Immediately he came online, I messaged him but the goat didn't even bother to respond, I even tried his number and he didn't pick.

"Is he ignoring your message nii?" Juliana asked and I hissed.

"He's online oo and he's not replying," I complained.

"Who is this he?" Crystal who was clueless about the whole thing asked and Juliana decided to explain to her while my eyes still stayed glued to my phone expecting a message from him.

"Hey, come over here," she waved her hand at me and I looked around in search for who she was calling, it couldn't be me or could it be?

"I'm talking to you, are you blind? Is there any other person around here?" She ended it with a hiss and I creased my brows.

"Sorry, how can I help you?"

She stood akimbo, "Come and help me clean my shoes."

I looked straight into her eyes that instant, "Sorry?"

"Are you deaf?" She shouted and I ignored her by knocking on Tise's door, after his response, I opened the door while she dashed towards me and immediately she got to the entrance, I slammed the door shut.

"Good morning," I greeted as Tise got out of the bed, he wanted to respond but Karen barged in.

"Didn't you hear me call you?" She turned to me and I scoffed internally.

"Karen, what's the meaning of all this?" Tise turned to her and a fake smile crept up her face.

"Sorry for barging into your room but I ordered this filthy thing," she eyed me before continuing, "to clean my shoes but..."

Tise cut her short, "But what? Does she look like your maid?"

Karen squeezed her face, "But Tise, she's a worker in this house, what's her job if she can't clean my shoes?"

"She's my personal cook, is that enough?"

It was at that time that I decided to drop the tray on the table, she glared at me while I stuck my tongue out before she stormed out.

"Sorry about Karen, that's how she is," Tise apologized and I flashed him a smile.

"It's okay."

"Anyway, what's for breakfast?"

"Yam and fish sauce."

A smile graced his lips and I smiled in return.

I wondered where the noise could be coming from as I knocked at the door, it was after I knocked the third time that I received a response. Opening the door, I was met with three pairs of eyes as I looked from one to the other, it was then I realized the noise was coming from this room, apparently from Gabriel and the other guy whom I didn't know his name so far Tise's head was buried in his laptop typing his hand away which I found absurd.

"K.Y?" Gabriel called with surprise written all over his face

"Hey," I greeted with a small smile.

"Hi, I didn't know you worked here oo," he continued with a smile as he turned to Tise with a questioning look while Tise only shrugged.

"Yeah, I've been working here for a week or so," I responded before turning to Tise to ask for what I came for but Gabriel beat me to it.

"How did I not know? Tise, why didn't you tell us?"

He responded with a shrug again, "Why should I?"

Gabriel shook his head while I decided to ask Tise what he would like for dinner, just as he made to respond, the other dark guy beat me to it.

"Don't worry about that, he's not having dinner."

I creased my brows while Tise swirled his chair towards his friends, "Clinton, what do you mean?"

So, the guy's name was Clinton. Registered.

"We are going to Starlight," Gabriel announced and I fluttered my lashes.

"And how does that concern me?"

"You're going with us," they responded in unison while Tise scoffed.

"I'm not going with you guys."

"You are, you need to clear your head, you've been on your laptop since we got here, you didn't even bother to play game with us, guy, you need to get a life," Clinton responded.

Tise wanted to hesitate but Gabriel beat him to it, "You are going with us, period."

Tise slumped his shoulders in defeat, so, I turned to leave but Gabriel's voice stopped me.

"K.Y, will you like to come with us?"

I blinked my eyes before turning back to them, "What?"

"You know just to catch fun, you only worked there for some time but didn't catch the fun at all."

"I'm working right now, so, nah, I'll pass," I shook my head.

"Are you really working right now?"Gabriel queried and I glanced at Tise who wore an expressionless look.

"No, but..."

He cut me short, "Your boss isn't against it, right Tise?"

We swung our gaze to Tise who kept mute for some seconds before nodding.
