Immediately I entered the room, Juliana and Crystal rushed to me with questioning looks.

"How did it go?" Juliana was the first to ask before Crystal talked.

"I hope you didn't get fired Sha?"

I shook my head before releasing myself from their grip then I walked up to my bed, they didn't waste any time as they jumped on my bed, tucked their legs beneath them and faced me squarely like someone waiting to listen to Tales of the moonlight.

"I didn't get fired," I announced and they both heaved a sigh of relief in unison while I smiled.

"So, why did he call you?" Crystal inquired in a cursory manner.

I glanced at her, "Just to commend me, you know I prepared his lunch."

"What!" She shrieked and I smiled.

"And he commended you?" Juliana questioned and I bobbed my head.

"Yeah, and from now on I'll be his personal cook," I added and Crystal's eyes widened, I knew it was unbelievable, I didn't believe it too considering what Crystal had told me about him.

"That's unbelievable, he doesn't eat any other person's meal except my mom's, so, what made him change his mind?" She asked and I shrugged. How will I know that?

Juliana readjusted her sitting position, "So he didn't fire you but gave you a job?"

I bobbed my head for clarification.

"I'm still finding it hard to believe," Crystal uttered and I turned to Juliana who tapped me.

"So, you saw how handsome he is?" She wriggled her brows and I chuckled.

"He's actually the one I told you about last week."

She gave a confused look before Crystal turned to me.

"The one I slapped for touching my butt," I clarified and Juliana gasped.

"What! You mean..."

Crystal cut in, "What do you mean? Tise touched your butt?"

I nodded,"Yeah, it happened last week when he came to Starlight."

She creased her brows, "How is that possible?"

I wanted to respond but the protest from the door made us shift our attention to it, I was a little bit surprised at who walked in.

"Hi girls," Tumi greeted revealing her beautiful set of small teeth that looked like that of a rabbit.

"Hi," we all greeted in unison before I shared a look with Juliana.

"What were you guys talking about?" She asked before jumping into our middle while I moved back for her to sit well.

"It's nothing much," Crystal replied and she nodded.

"Anyway, I brought this for you guys, I figured you were the only ones not using it and it's because you're new," she pointed what I quickly recognized to be a cream at me and Juliana.

Collecting it from her, I realized it was the same cream Kike do use, one she never allowed us to touch.

"Starry cream?" Juliana read it out and Tumi nodded.

"Yeah, the cream is very nice, it's the one I use too, you can see how soothing my skin is, look at how Crystal is glowing too, everyone in this house uses the cream so don't even think of rejecting it," she said.

I started, "But..."

The sound from her phone cut me short as she brought out her Samsung phone and a huge grin appeared on her face.

"Hey babe," she started before smiling at us and then walked out of the room.

"That was somehow," Juliana commented and I nodded in agreement.

"That's how Tumi is, she's actually a model at Starry so she gifts everyone their products every month, we all use it in this house," Crystal explained before we were called out for the preparation of dinner.

"So what are you preparing?" My best friend asked as I broke the eggs into the bowl.

"Rice and egg stew," I replied and Juliana beamed with smiles.

"You'll prepare my own too, like I've really missed your Rice and egg stew," she grabbed my hand before I turned to her.

"What of the meal they're preparing for us?" I pointed at the Chef, Crystal and the other two kitchen workers.

She shrugged, "I won't eat it, K.Y naaa," she shook my hand and I dropped the bowl before she would make the egg pour.

"Juliana, this meal is only for Tise, what are you even doing here gan? Isn't the laundry and living room your domain?"

She pouted, "So, you don't like me here abi? Am I that repulsive?"

"I'm not saying that."

"I'm angry," she frowned her face and pouted like a baby.

"Oya sorry," I pleaded jokingly before picking another egg to break.

"Your apology will only be accepted if you prepare rice and egg stew for me."

I waved my hand, "Whatever, you sly."

She laughed before pulling out a stool to sit. She stayed in silence for some minutes before talking.

"What of Zayd?"

I glanced at her as I opened the tap into the rice.

"I noticed you guys haven't talked since we got here, is anything wrong?"

I shook my head, "No, nothing is wrong."

"Hmmm," she mumbled and I dashed her a scowl.

The sound from my phone made me open my eyes instantly, believing it was Zayd so far I'd called him several times last night without him picking it, I believe he was returning my call but when I got hold of my phone and stared at the caller ID, my hope was dashed.

I hissed before dumping it back on the bed and laying down to continue my sleep, the phone kept on ringing and I knew the person wouldn't rest until I pick it. I just hope it wasn't a wrong number because I didn't even know the person calling.

"Hello, please who is this? And why are you disturbing my sleep early in the morning when it's not even seven yet?" I ranted giving out my frustration.

"Please, can you prepare the rice and egg stew for me," the person replied from the other end and I scoffed.

"Are you deaf? Who are you or are..." It wasn't until then that it registered into my brain, the voice was that of Tise and he had the same meal last night.

Quickly, I removed my coverlet and scrambled out of the bed.

"I'm so sorry, I'll prepare it now."

"Thanks and sorry for disturbing your sleep," he said before hanging up.

I sighed before looking at my phone, it was just 5:35, I tossed my phone on the bed and I glanced at Juliana and Crystal who were still sound asleep before heading to the Kitchen.

The house was still quiet as everyone  were still asleep, the workers do wake up by six and that left only me walking around the house.

Entering the Kitchen, I switched on the light and my heart skipped several beats as I stared at the person in front of me.

"You startled me," he uttered and I squeezed my face. Who was he? What was he doing in the kitchen? Is he planning to steal? What...

His voice brought me out of my trance, "By the way, who are you?"

I creased my brows, "I should be asking you that? What are you doing here?"

I didn't know where the courage came from, I stared at the well-built man in front of me and he laughed. Is he insane or something?

"I've never seen your face before," he replied before moving closer to me while I stepped back.

"Neither have I," I responded and he chuckled.

Just then Crystal's mom walked into the kitchen and I turned to her hoping she would be startled or shocked seeing the man before me but instead she lowered her head.

"Good morning sir," she greeted and I fluttered my lashes. Did she know him?

"Who is he?" I whispered to her.

"Morning," the man replied before dropping the cup with him on the kitchen island, "By the way, who is she? I've never seen her before?" He pointed at me.

"She's a new worker sir," the Chef replied and he nodded.

"Oh," then he turned to me, "What's your name?"

I stared at him for some seconds before Crystal's mom pinched me, "It's K.Y"

"K.Y as in Kanyinsola right?" He inquired with a smile and I nodded.

"How did you know?"

"It's not hard to piece it together, whereas I have someone with the name,"he replied.

"Oh," I nodded.

He wanted to talk but the chef beat him to it, "What would you like for breakfast sir?"

Just then I remembered why I was in the kitchen, quickly I headed to the store, when I got  out with the eggs, he had left so I turned to the chef.

"Who is he?"

"The oga."

I blinked my eyes. Oga as in the head of the house but Crystal told me he was dead, definitely the man was Madam's boyfriend. No wonder.

Minutes later, the house because busy, apparently they were up, after some minutes, the food was done, so, I served it and headed to Tise's room.

After knocking twice, he told me to come in and I did.

"Good morning," he greeted with a small smile.

"Good morning," I dropped the food on his table.

"Sorry for waking you that early, I have a morning class and I didn't want to go with an empty stomach," he explained and I nodded.

"It's okay, I was bound to wake up minutes after that but why Rice and egg stew? I mean you had the same meal for dinner."

He smiled, "I really enjoyed it last night, it's my first time eating it and I was practically eating it in my dream."

I chuckled, "That's absurd."

He nodded before pulling out a chair, "Thanks for the meal," he picked up the spoon and I nodded.

"So, what would you like for lunch?"

He moaned before turning to me, "This is heavenly and don't worry about lunch, I won't be back until late in the evening."

"Oh, but I can prepare lunch now and you'll take it with you."

"That's so nice of you but you don't have to worry about that, I'll have lunch at the cafeteria with my friends."

"Oh okay then," and with that I sauntered out of his room and headed to the servant's quarters.

Walking into my room, Juliana and Crystal swung their gaze to me.

"Where have you been?" Crystal questioned.

"I had to prepare breakfast for Tise," I responded before jumping on my bed.

"Zayd called you earlier," Juliana announced and I got up instantly.

"Really?" A wide smile appeared on my face before I picked up my phone. There were two missed calls from him, I returned the call and he didn't pick, frowning my face, I presumed he might have dropped a message, so, I turned on my data and clicked on WhatsApp.

He did drop a message.
