"Hello?" The serious voice sounded from the phone.
"Georgina. He's back." I said and waited for her response. Whether she remembered me or not was an issue, and even if she did, she might have never wanted to speak to me again. She could have wanted to just put her past behind her and move on; like I did. Unfortunately Gilbert had other plans.
"This is Amelia, right?"
"Yes."
"Well sh*t. How do you know?" She asked, her voice quivered with fear and nervousness.
"He turned up at my house." I said and I heard her gasp.
"What? When? What did he do? What did you do? Are you alright?"
"What do you think?" I asked sarcastically. Dumb b*tch. Just because we used to know each other well and bonded over the situation we were in, it didn't mean that I liked her very much.
"You...You used your.. your gun?" She whispered, almost as if she was afraid someone would hear her.
"No. Of course not. Did you not learn anything? You only use the gun in emergency situations. Also, I haven't carried a gun or knife since I moved back and thought it was all over. I just put the belt on when he left. Or, sorry, when I threw him out." I said. I couldn't believe her logic. We'd spent long enough in that place to know the rules. I guess some good did come out of being there, the protection skills and self-defense mechanisms we were taught in case they ever got caught.
"I've carry my gun whenever i'm alone. I don't want ti risk it. I knew it was too good to be true! You threw him out? How? You're...You're Amelia! You wouldn't even bat an eyelash at a fly without feeling like you were going to hell." She exclaimed and I rolled my eyes.
Time went on and people changed. Including myself.
"Well trust me, if I was worried about going to hell before, I've just fulfilled my own nightmare. He tried to attack me, so I attacked him. I'm not who I used to be. I've grown up. Emotionally and physically. I'll kick whoever's arse wants to try me now." I said cockily to her.
If only I was always so blunt and cocky. I would have never had to worry about feelings or getting close to people.
If I had stayed that way then Ryan would have never broken down my barriers.
"I'm going to get the next train down and stay with you for a while. Text me your address hunny. I want proof of the bad-ass Amelia I always wanted you to be."
"Trust me. I'm more than anyone thought was possible."I finished and hung up.
This would be awkward.

I heard the doorbell go. I went downstairs and answered, it was more than likely Georgina, she was due to be here any minute.
I opened the door and was greeted by the same doe-eyed girl I last saw nearly 3 years ago. She hadn't changed at all. She still had her 'perfect' natural ringlets in her brown hair and a long dress on with an ugly pattern. She was looking at her phone and smirking, as if she had saw something that amused her deeply.
She looked up at me and had a confused expression on her face.
"Hi, I think I might have gotten the wrong house, I'm looking for Amelia Russell?" She asked, a bitter tone in her voice, one I had never heard from her before.I smirked and lent against the door frame.
"It's good to see you again Georgina." I muttered. The smirk stayed plastered on my face when I noticed how surprised she looked.
"Amelia?"
"That's me, hunny." I winked at her and moved to the side so she could come in.
"What? You? When?" She asked and the look in her eye was anything but the love from a friend. Something was different about her. Something had changed. She wasn't the good girl that secretly did bad things and could lie to the FBI anymore - she was just a troublemaker. That much was obvious by the look she was giving me. That look was the same as the one she gave to the victims of Gilbert.
The look was full of vengeance and hate.
"When what?" I asked her bluntly. I didn't like the look she was giving me. I don't think she realised I knew what she was thinking, and what she thought of me. She thought I was still unobservant.
"You've changed." She said. Her eyes were scrutinizing me, trying to figure me out. But that was the problem. I wasn't who I used to be when I hung out with her. I wasn't an open book any more. I had a thousand different locks and chains you needed to unlock in order to get me open. And only people I gave the keys to would be able to.
She would never be one of those people. No matter how close we used to be.
"Well two can play that game, right?" I asked her, one eyebrow raised. She looked at me in confusion.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
I simply smirked at her, a smug look was on my face and I picked up two of her bags before guiding her to the guest room.
The only reason we ever bonded was because of the fact that we were in the same situation at the same time.Everyone there hated us but never wanted us to leave. We were prisoners trapped together under certain rules and regulations. We had more freedom than prisoners but where we were was a lot worse than any prison ever could be. We were treated like we were crazy...
And maybe we were.
I told her where the bathroom was and to come and find me if she needed help with anything before I left her to get settled in.
But little did she know I was still outside her door when she called someone up with the words "It's done and it was way too easy."...
