ENT. FARMHOUSE

Waverly sitting at the dinner table speaking to his brother, Maxon.

WAVERLY

I'm terrified, I mean what if the war spreads to America, what are we supposed to do. Whack the gods with a shovel?

MAXON

Nobody is going to come to our town, even if they spread. I'll protect you, always and forever.

WAVERLY

What about Lib?

MAXON

I'll protect your dumb dog too.

Liberty begs from under the table and paws Maxon's leg. Maxon in turn glares and shoves her with his foot. Waverly flings his spoon at Maxon.

WAVERLY

Leave Lib alone, you animal!

MAXON

Says the person who threw his spoon at me, over a dog.

WAVERLY

Whatever.
