*SnowPaw's point of view*

"Take that stupid ThunderClan!" I shouted jumping on LavenderKit.

LavenderKit squealed falling down.

"SnowKit, stop being so rough with LavenderKit, she's younger than you!" BirdSong told me off.

"Sorry BirdSong," I muttered as I stopped playing with LavenderKit.

I did have to remember that LavenderKit was three moons younger than me but that was no excuse for how BirdSong treated me. Just because my mum had died when I was born and she had to look after me doesn't give her the right to make me second best to her kits. She wouldn't let me even play with her kits in fear that I would hurt them. At least LavenderKit would have RoseKit to play with when I was made an Apprentice later today.

Yes today, I was six moons old now and I was to be an Apprentice.

"Let all cats come to the hill to hear the RiverClan news." Our leader LeopardStar called. It was time.

"Today we have an RiverClan Kit who is six moons old and now is ready to become an Apprentice. Step forward SnowKit."

I stepped forward making sure I looked confident.

"So you, SnowKit, promise to learn our RiverClan ways?" LeopardStar asked me.

"Yes LeopardStar." I answered.

"Then from now on, you will be called SnowPaw and your mentor will be GreenEye."

"SnowPaw, SnowPaw, SnowPaw" the Clan cheered me

BirdSong looked at me with narrow eyes. Before turning away and stalking into the nursery.

I shook my head. At least I wouldn't have to put up with her anymore I thought to myself.

"So, do you think you can keep up with me as we look at the territory?" GreenEye asked me.

"Yep." I excitedly replied.

"Ok then. Keep up." GreenEye told me as he ran away towards the entrance of the camp.
