I woke up to a stary sky above me and felt a warm body beside me. I knew Max wasn't dead but she wasn't waking up either. She had a huge gash from a erasers claws on her shoulder. I have bandaged it as best as I could but I could she the deep red seeping through. I expanded my wings and flew up into the sky to look for the rest of the flock. I saw Angel sitting by a tree with Total in her arms. Total is our dog he is not a normal dog though, he looks normal but he's not he's a freak like us. I flew over to her and landed. "Sterling!" Said Angel. She ran over to me with Total at her heels and wrapped her arms around me. "C'mon lets go find the rest of the flock." "Wait, where's Max?" She said. Before I could say anything she flew into the sky. I followed her slowly beating my wings and soaring. I forgot she can read minds, before I could say a thing she already knew what I was going to say. I landed next to her and she said "Fang will know what to do." She took off into the sky and I followed we split up and scanned the giant meadow I heard a faint voice. I flew as fast as I could I knew it was fang. "FANG!!!!" I called. I heard a short pause and the I saw a shadowy figure in the distance. "STERLING!?!?!?" I beat my wings as hard a I could and soared over to Fang. " Max needs you!" "What's wrong?" Asked Fang "No time to explain, we have to go!!" I didn't let Fang reply I just flew as fast as my wings could carry me, Max in my mind is like my mom I needed to help her, I heard Fangs wings behind me so I flew faster I was almost sure I was going more that 225 miles per hour. This was faster than I have ever flown before. "Hey Sterling take it easy." NO FANG I CANT IF MAX DIES IT WILL BE MY FAULT!!!" I realized that tears where streaming down my face and I had slowed down a lot. Fang was now flying next to me. "Sterling, it's going to be fine, you have to relax! Where is she?" *Crap!!! I hope we didn't already fly by them! Then a huge wave of relief passed over me, I saw angel hovering in the sky. She waved her arms frantically and we sped up.
