I flew fast forward kicking a young eraser in the face. I felt sharp claws dig into my back. I screamed out"AHHHHHHHGGG!!!!" "STERLING!!" Luke  flew towards me. And pulled the eraser off my back kicking him hard with his foot sending him spiraling downward towards the earth. He grabbed my waist and hugged me. He pulled away, then he picked me up, *i hate it when he does this!!* he handed me to Fang. Fang held me. And I looked into his eyes. All I saw was love, for me, for the flock. I hated what I was doing, breaking his heart. *Maybe I don't have too...*I hugged him and he hugged me back. Then put me back down. I flew away and started to fight a eraser. I kicked him hard in the face causing him to sputter out blood. I turned around face to face with Ari. He grinned at me and I round house kicked him causing him to fall out of the air. Only to then catch him self a little ways down. I let my body drop quickly falling through the air. Time seemed to slow, I looked around me Angel fighting a smaller eraser, kicking him hard, I then see Max, her hair flowing behind her as she flew fast towards an eraser, Fang spun around and round house kicked him hard then he fell, knocked out spiraling downwards. I then see Luke, punch a eraser in the face then kicking his head as he fell. Nudge came up behind an eraser and kicked him in the head sending him towards the ground, Gazzy was flying towards Angel to help her, and then I saw a figure on the horizon, *Iggy?* "Max!" I pointed in the direction of the figure and she nodded at me. I look down at Ari. He doesn't even know what's going to hit him. Time speeds up again and I feel my foot smash down onto Ari's head. I saw blood trickle down his face as he fell down out of the sky. I open my wings and feel myself pull up into the sky. I hear a loud thump as Ari hits the ground. I see all the other erasers flying away from the flock, Ari slowly rises from the ground and looks up at the flock, our eyes meet. "Retreat!" He yells loudly as he flys up to follow his fellow erasers. We watch for a long time until they all become a black blur on the horizon. "Is anyone hurt?" Max says urgently. I then remember my large cut on my back. I look at Fang and he remembers too. "Sterling is hurt." He says as he flys towards me picking me up. I wince as he touches my back, he flys towers the ground Luke close behind him the rest of the flock following. Angel lands next to me first and hugs me. "I'm ok. I promise" I whisper in her ear she smiles at me at backs away sitting a few feet away. Luke lands a little away too. And Max and Nudge sit at my feet, Gazzy sitting next to his sister.

~Fangs P.O.V~
I sit behind Sterlings head and prop it up. *Why, why isn't she looking at Luke, she likes him or whatever right? What if she likes me and Luke, what I she's confused and hurt. Because she doesn't know who to choose.... It's fine Fang, she's safe.* I start moving her beautiful long brown hair out of her face. And Max takes my place. Max and Sterling have always had a different relationship than the rest of us. Sterling always thought of Max being her mom and Max always thought of Sterling her daughter.
~Max's P.O.V~
I sit behind Sterlings head and gently lift her up moving her hair from underneath her. I gasp as I feel her soft, long hair covered in sticky, warm blood. Without thinking I pick her up and yell to the flock "GET COBWEBS!!! AND MEET ME AT THE POND SHES BLEEDING A LOT!" I fly fast, then come to a screeching halt above the pond. I fly over to the bank and set her down softly. I dip her hair into the cool water and start to wash it. When the water runs clean from her hair i gently remove my old leather jacket from her back. I put her on my lap and slowly ease her back into the water, I run the water over her back slowly, cleaning the deep gashes from the erasers claws. She winces and I put my hand on her forehead to settle her. Once I'm done washing her back I see the flock steadily flying towards us. Angel lands first and glances at her friends back, she lifts up the back of her shirt and starts to place the cobwebs on the wound. The flock hands her more and more cobwebs until her cuts are cover and I slide her shirt carefully back down and over her wings, I slide the jacket back on guiding her long wings throwing the holes I made in the jacket.
~Sterling's P.O.V~
I feel Max guide my wings through the holes in my jacked. I groan and stand up pain shooting from my back into the rest of my body. "Ow." I say bluntly. I stretch out my wings, and started to walk getting some speed and running. I push off and try flapping my wings. I get a little air and flap my wings steadily, a little off balance I wiggle around through the air and try to regain my ability to fly swiftly and gracefully like I used to be able too. I flew up high and pulled in my wings and rocketed down towards the ground. I opened my wings right before I hit the ground, and soared above the grass. Landing a little farther up. I see the flock flying over to me and Max in the lead was smiling. Before she could speak i said "I'm a little sore but I'm good!" I said flashing them all a smile.
She looked at me with love in her eyes she came over to me and hugged me gently. "Come on now it's getting late lets find somewhere to settle down." We found a small spot it was a clearing not far from the meadow. We walked through the the woods and flew over a small stream, and found the small protected area to sleep. I settled down next to Max and next to Angel. As I lay down I looked up at the stars and moon shining brightly above me. The moon casted a glow onto my face as I closed my eyes and fell sleep.
