Darkness in my veins

I heard Sadie and Kate screaming, trust me, I know it's them. They're fucked up. Would be funny if I weren't so upset. I can't believe I was fucked up. I'll never forgive myself for this, even when we make up. Or... If. I can't think like that. When.

I finally decided to get up and go into the party. I'm gonna try to concentrate on the party, not my feelings. Feelings always get in the way. I found Sadie and Kate. I can't believe they're still going. I got some crazy friends. 

"Where'd you go!!" Sadie shouted. 

"I was feeling sick."

"No! We can totally leave." 

"No way, I'm having too much fun." Am I a good liar?

"Yay!!" She wrapped her arm around me, "everyone this is my bestest friend, Mara!" 

Everyone cheered. It felt good to be around people like this. Loud, annoying, funny, the best type of people. As we were jamming, I saw Tanner run into the house. He grabbed a megaphone. 

"Everyone out!" He shouted. He kept shouting that. 

Frankie and Cuff were pushing people out. I quickly hid. Everyone was pretty much out and two people walked in. The man was tall with short brown hair and dark brown eyes. He looked very professional. The lady was short with long blonde hair and dark blue eyes. She also looked very professional. His parents? I kept watching. Frankie and Cuff were gone. 

"Aunty, uncle! Wassup?" Tanner asked trying to play it cool. 

"Did you have a party?" They asked. 

"Why would I have a party when you guys said no parties?"

"Because there's a Red Solo cup on the table."

Tanner sighed, "it's not like we broke anything." 

His aunt dropped her purse and walked closer to Tanner, who walked back. She grabbed him and his uncle punched right in the nose. He just kept punching him. Over and over again, until Tanner fell to the floor, where they started kicking him. I could hear his cries. 

His aunt and uncle finally walked away and I saw Tanner struggling to get up. I got out of the closet, looked around to make sure I was in the clear. And helped him up. 

"What are you doing here?"

"I don't know. But I'm taking you to your room."

We walked up to his room, where I grabbed a first aid kit and started treating him. I could tell he was in a lot of pain. But I didn't want to pry. 

"So, that's my family." He said with tears rolling down his face, " and I'm crying like a little bitch."

I smiled and laughed under my breathe, "it's cute."

"That's how I got my scar."

I stopped and looked at him, confused. 

"The scar you keep asking about. My uncle took a beer bottle to my eye. I was blind for two weeks." 

"I'm sorry."

He shook his head, "when I'm 18, I'm fucking out of here." 

"I would say move in with me, but I'm not sure how my parents would feel."

"No worries, Cuff already said I could move in with him." 

"Good."

We looked at each other and in that moment, I knew we were gonna kiss. Which we did and it was everything, plus more. I never felt that close to anyone. He pulled away, slowly.

"I don't want to be your secret any more."

I just starred at him.

"I want to be your boyfriend and I want people to know about it."

I nodded, "okay. Monday, we'll make it official. I'm not scared anymore."

"Please don't leave me tonight." 

"I wasn't planning on it."

We laid down in his bed and just cuddled. It felt amazing. But am I really ready for people to know about us?
