No class, beat down, fool

Time took forever, but it was finally time to see Tanner. I grabbed my backpack and left with Jake. As we were driving, it was quiet. I knew Jake wanted to ask what I was doing, but I couldn't tell him. If anyone found out I was with Tanner, my reputation is dead. 

I arrived at the parking lot, Jake left and I waited for Tanner. He finally showed. I slapped him for being late. He just smiled. That damn smile. 

"Come on." He said getting into his car.

I didn't questioned it, just followed. He might kill me, feels like he might kill me. We stopped at this abandoned park, in a neighborhood that looks like nobody comes to. This is where I die. We got out of the car and went into a wooded area. 

"Welcome to paradise." He smirked. 

I just looked at him confused. Nothing was here. Except for 2 guys. Frankie? And this other guy, who I think is a senior. He's really tall with short blonde hair and brown eyes. I just stared at them. 

"What's going on."

"Have you ever wanted to feel alive? Feel like you matter?" Tanner asked. 

Frankie walked closer to me, "ever wanted the pressure to pause for a moment?"

I nodded, "but what does that have to do with being in a wooded area?"

Frankie took off his glasses. Both his eyes were bruised. I couldn't believe it. I got to see his dark brown eyes. 

"I'm Cuff." He shook my hand. 

"You're in Jake's grade." I recognized him because he use to come to my brother's birthday parties. 

"And you're Jakey's sister." 

I nodded, "so what is this?" 

"Street fighting." 

"But we're on grass."

Cuff laughed a little, "I like this chick."

"Go ahead, punch him." Tanner said. 

"I never punched anyone before." 

"First time for everything." 

Cuff looked at me, "she's not gonna do it. Her parents would be so disappointed. Because she has to do everything their way, she might not-"

I punched him as hard as I could, hurt like a bitch. 

"That's what I thought."

"So you and Frankie are the same. Both hate the pressure." 

I nodded, "do you understand how hard it is to be the second richest family? Especially when you're parents start to push you to be the best in your grade."

"Welcome to the family, Mara." Tanner put his arm around me.
