He stayed fully awake, patiently waiting for his best friend to wake up. It was almost 2 in the morning, past her curfew by a good four hours.

He knew that she would get scolded by her parents but he didn't want them to see their daughter completely passed out from drinking too much. He didn't want her to feel embarrassed in front of them.
