2) In Japanese manga, a part human, part cat; Nekos usually are human in appearance, but have cat ears and a tail, as well as exhibiting cat-like things (like cleaning.)

Back again?" Steve asks the Neko who keeps entering his house through and open window. This Neko, Steve had learnt, was called Bucky. Bucky was very quite and didn't speak much yet had took a liking to Steve and came to visit him everyday for the past month with no reason just to see him. Steve still is confused at why Bucky comes over but has stopped questioning him aloud as he never really gets a response. Steve also took a liking to the quiet Neko but neither of them said anything about their feelings. As well Bucky really didn't care what he looked like and most of the time would come over in jeans and a tank top or sometimes even no top at all, which always made it difficult for Steve as Bucky was packed full of muscles and had a metal arm. Making him look very menacing, yet when you spot the brown fluffy ears that are on his head you can't help but think he's adorable.

Bucky wanders over to Steve ,who was sat in the couch drawing, and sits next to him. Steve closes his drawing pad and sets it down to face Bucky "You okay?"
"Yeah." Bucky quietly replies,
That's the most talking Steve will probably get out of him. "Sure? You look a little down."
Bucky shrugs and wraps his tail round him "I'm fine." However in truth Bucky was down, he came over to Steve's today because he was lonely and wanted a friend. He wanted to sit cuddled up to him and hear Steve say he'll always be there for him, but it was unlikely in Bucky's head.

Steve gently reaches out and gently taps Bucky's head, his eyes perk up a little and nods to Steve showing him that he doesn't mind being petted, especially by Steve anyway. Steve strokes over Bucky's ears a small smile on his face when he hears the smallest purr erupt from the Neko. As Steve takes his hand away Bucky's tail softly wraps round his wrist, Steve's eyes go back to Bucky's "You liked that?"
Bucky hums happily and before he knows Steve wraps his strong arms around him and pulls Bucky close. Bucky purrs loudly and snuggles up to Steve "Can I just say you're very adorable."
Bucky freezes for a moment taking the words in, but smiles at Steve "Thank you."
Steve rests his chin on top of Bucky's head planting a small kiss there, making his ears jump up. Bucky's heart is almost beating out his chest, he finally feels happy and it's all because of his neighbour.

"Will you tell me why you're sad now? I can tell you are well not as much as when you first got here." Steve asks stroking Bucky's back, "I know you don't like talking much, but please, for me."
Bucky sighs "I'm lonely. I always have been ever since I was little, I was taken away from my parents because I wasn't normal and taken to a place where other Nekos were. However I didn't like it there and I didn't like the other Nekos as they'd bullied me because I was also born without my arm. So I escaped and tried to make a life on my own. I was 5 when I was taken from my parents and 15 when I escaped, meaning ten years of my life I hated and there was nothing I could do.
Steve's heart aches for the man sat in his arms, he pulls Bucky forward and presses there lips together.

As they pull away Bucky's bright red and hides his face in Steve's shoulder making the other man chuckle. He strokes Bucky's ears "I'm so sorry you went through that, I'm here for you. Even when we first met and if you had told me you were lonely I never would of minded, it just confused me at why you wouldn't tell me your reason for coming over. But now I understand."
"I'm sorry I never told you, I was a little nervous." Bucky looks up,
Steve pecks his lips again "How'd you like to stay with me for a little while?"
"I'd love to." Bucky beams
"One more question." Steve smiles "Will you be my boyfriend?"
"W-what?"
"Bucky will you please be my boyfriend?" Steve's smile grows,
He nods and throws himself on top of Steve, wrapping his arms round his neck "Yes!"
Steve holds him tight as Bucky's tail wraps round them, Bucky sits up slightly and his cheeks are cupped by Steve's big hands "You're gorgeous. You should smile more too, because it's beautiful."
Bucky nearly passes out "Thank you, But have you seen yourself?" He winks his confidence coming out.
"Look at you getting all confident. Hey that reminds me, you think you're funny coming in here without a shirt on. Trying to act all innocent when I knew what you were doing." Steve scolds him playfully,
"Too be honest it's normally because I don't wear a shirt at home and when I come to yours I forget." Bucky smiles.

Before he knows he's whipped up in Steve's arms and being taken into his bedroom "I wanna cuddle with you. Then I can actually touch your body than just stare."
"What if I don't want that?"
Steve stops "Oh I'm sorry, I didn't think! I-i-"
Bucky silences him with a kiss "I was joking, Doll."
"Doll?"
"Something I've just always called people, girls mainly but you're an exception."
"I quite like it." Steve says dropping him softly on the bed, he decides to join Bucky and pull his own shirt over his head. Once they're both shirtless Bucky gasps and gently paws at Steve's chest, loving the feeling of his fingers gliding over the bumps of muscle. "Enjoying that?" Steve says startling Bucky a little as he forgot that Steve was in fact watching him. "Sorry."
"It's fine, I was quite enjoying it to be fair." He sits down and Bucky sits in his lap, resting against his chest and his legs spread out in front of him.
"You'd make a good pillow Steve."
"Thanks love means a lot." He chuckles making Bucky blush and his ears go against his head, Steve reaches up and strokes them once again enjoying the soft fur between his fingers. Bucky struggles to keep his purrs in as his ears are his sweet spot, "You can purr Bucky, it doesn't bother me and it's cute."
"Stop complimenting me I can't take it." He scowls playfully,
"Well it's your fault for being cute and handsome at the same time."
Bucky sighs and snuggles closer, deciding to let his purrs free. Steve holds him close and protectively "You're safe with me." He whispers pressing a kiss to his temple,
Bucky listens to Steve whispers sweet nothings into his ear, his heart swelling with happiness.

One year later

Not much has changed the past year except the pairs relationship has grew and are still deeply in love with one another. Bucky moved into Steve's apartment. Now today they both sit cuddled up on their bed, Bucky sits reading and Steve doodles. Bucky's tail wraps round Steve as he places his book down "You okay?"
"Fine Doll, what you drawing?"
"You." He chuckles showing Bucky his drawings (Media)
"The one of both of us is my favourite."
"I like the one with you and your milk."
"It's the greatest drink to ever exists!" He exclaims,
"That's because you're half cat Buck." Steve laughs,
"True."
Steve puts his arm round Bucky's shoulders and pulls him close "Want to go out for dinner tonight, my treat."
"I'd love to." Bucky smiles,
"And I love you."
"Love you too."
