prompt: "03:18am. you were in for a long night."

you heard loud knocking, waking you up from your much needed sleep making you groan in annoyance. your eyes slowly opened, which didn't change much because your room was pitch black due to the lights being off and the curtains being shut. you laid there for a minute, it was silent making you wonder if you had just imagined the knocking sounds. that thought vanished as soon as you heard loud knocking again which seemed to irritate you more.

you sat up, checking the time on your phone which had been charging. 03:18am. you were in for a long night. you pushed the warm bed sheets from your body making you wince at the sudden coldness, making a mental note not to wear pyjama shorts to bed during the winter. you rubbed your tired eyes, before grabbing your robe and making your way slowly down the stairs and to the front door.

you pulled the door open, ready to lecture the person at the other side for coming to your house at such a stupid time. but when you saw your boyfriend at the other side with tears in his eyes, you stopped yourself.

"chato? what's wrong?" you asked, concern coating your voice as you moved out of the way allowing the heavily tattooed man to walk in.

"i can't do this anymore y/n! this.. power, it's ruining my life!" he yelled out through his tears whilst pacing around the living room.

"i keep killing innocent people, people who have a whole life ahead of them, people that don't deserve to die! i'm a monster"

you looked at chato sadly, you hated seeing him so worked up and upset. he didn't deserve to feel like this, it wasn't his fault. he didn't ask for this, he was born with it. 

"babe, calm down. sit down, breathe, yelling won't make you feel better" you told him, taking his hand and sitting down next to him on the couch.

he sat down, leaning on you slightly whilst glaring holes into the ground. he looked so guilty and defeated it made your heart break to look at him.

"listen to me, this isn't your fault! you can't control what you do, it doesn't make you a monster! you're one of the kindest, most selfless people i know chato. you do everything you can to make me happy and i couldn't think of anyone who would do that for me. stop hating yourself, it's not worth it and none of it is true, okay?"

he smiled at you, nodding his head.

"thank you y/n, you really know how to cheer me up. i honestly don't know what i'd do without you" he said, giving your hand a squeeze.

"no problem babe. well i'm going back to bed because i'm really tired, do you want to join?" you asked him, smiling as you stood up.

"how could i say no to that?" he replied, making you laugh as you both ran up the stairs. 

i'm so sorry for not updating for about three weeks guys, i've been busy with mock exams in school so i haven't really found the time but now all of them are over so i have more time to update for you! i want to catch up because i'm so behind on requests so expect four/five updates in the next two days!! (maybe more if i have time)
