once upon a time there was a princess. she lived in a colorful palace but her world was a dark forest.  she was cursed.

cursed because she was ugly.

cursed because everything wrong in her life was her fault.

cursed because she wasn't good enough.

no witch had cursed her. she had cursed herself.

she did not prick her finger. but slashed her hands with knives.

one day her heart fell into a deep sleep.

and never woke up.

before it did, she etched a note into her crown.
