The trio went to grab some berries from the berry pile provided for the villagers and they went back into the den where E. Gadd, Polterpup and Gooigi were waiting for them. "So what was the incident about?" He asked Lightning.

"There was a fight last night and Mario, Luigi and I got involved in it. But we were only trying to help each other and helping one of the Village patrollers so it was just a misunderstanding." She answered.

"I see... Well atleast all of you are alright."

Lightning nodded. "Here professor, you should eat something." She handed him a Sitrus Berry before taking one for herself.

Mario and Luigi sat by each other right outside the den, happily eating their berries and talking to one another. "That wasn't too bad. The situation was settled rather well."

"Yeah. Thank goodness Faith isn't too mad at us like we initially thought." Luigi replied.

Mario nodded before turning around to look outside of the village into the forest. "Hmmmm..."

"What is it, Mario?" Luigi asked.

"I do wonder if Faith would allow us to go outside of the village to walk around it to get some exercise. It gets kinda boring here after a while."

"I guess.... But she does want to protect us. We really should stay around here where Faith can see us. Besides from what has been going on lately... I don't feel comfortable leaving. I-it's just King Boo seems to be really merciful this time around and... and if we give him even the slightest chance for him to find us... we could be in big trouble... especially me... And you heard Faith too. The Dark One would use us for evil if he manages to capture us. I don't know who exactly the Dark One is but I don't really want to know. I'm terrified of that happening."

"But Polterkitty has already found us. Who knows if King Boo or Hellen Gravely would come here themselves. Are we really safe here? There was only one Eeveelution patroller out there last night. If Crescent doesn't get through with the others tonight, we could be easily overwhelmed this time around. Don't you think we shouldn't stay in one place? Someone is bound to find us. We just got to keep moving, don't you think?"

"Look Mario... I know you like to explore but we shouldn't be too rash about this. Faith will be able to protect us here and Lightning has always been with us since we first stepped into this world. She'll be able to protect us but if we leave the village who knows what is out there waiting for us in the darkness to make that mistake. We can only take a limited number of enemies at a time. Not a whole swarm of them at once. I don't trust it and neither should you."

"I suppose you're right Weegee..." Mario sighed. "Your safety is far more important to me anyways. I wouldn't want you to feel unsafe more than you already are, bro."

"Thanks, Mario..." Luigi said with a smile. "Besides we still got a lot to explore here. This village isn't exactly small you know."

"That's true." Mario nodded.

Lightning walked towards the two brothers happily. "What are you two talking about?" She asked.

"Oh nothing. I'm just in the mood for exploring." Mario replied.

"Of course you are. Can't sit down for a moment, huh?" Lightning questioned.

"Not really. Mario's very energetic in the mornings. I can never understand how he gets it so quickly." Luigi giggled.

"I know." She responded. "That's technically what I'm worried about with him. I don't want him to get into danger. I know that's just how your brother is but we both should keep an eye on him together and watch each other's back. King Boo has managed to capture your brother multiple times because of that and this time around we really can't risk it. You and Mario need to stay around me at all times. I will need to keep an eye on the both of you because I really don't want to lose you."

"We know..." the brothers said in unison.

"To be honest, I couldn't help but overheard that Mario was thinking about leaving the village but I really don't think that's a good idea. I'm glad you were able to get him to change his mind, Luigi. I know Polterkitty attacked here last night but if we stay here around other Pokémon then we should be safe here." Lightning replied.

"Yeah... you're right." Mario sighed. "I promise you that we won't leave."

"That's good. Thanks for understanding, Mario."

"I've got it!" They heard a high pitched elderly voice shout. They walked back into the den to see what E.Gadd was excited about.

"What is it, Professor?"

"Gooigi has successfully managed to transform into an Eevee!"

The Transformed Eevee suddenly turned around and when Luigi saw its face, he shivered. "Eeek..." he squealed.

"What's wrong, sonny?" E. Gadd asked. He saw that the Eevee had a ditto face instead of an Eevee's. "Criminy... I guess it's not quite there yet but it's getting there. Maybe it's going to be harder than I thought."

"You think?!" Lightning said with a terrified look on her face too.

"Anywho now that I have you three with me. Here's another thing that I've been working on. Just as long as this thing still works here." He pulled out a strange device from his lab coat pocket.

"What exactly is that?" Lightning asked.

Luigi took a look at it and immediately pointed out, "it's the Dual Scream! Professor, I didn't know you still had it!"

"Um... what's a dual scream?" Lightning asked.

"It's a modified version of the DS. It's a portable game system, but now I just figured out something else I could do with it." He then pulled out another device but smaller. "This is a Poketch. Something I used to count my walking steps but thankfully I also modded it before I came here so it will pinpoint your location if anything happens to you and I can receive it through the dual scream. I call it the Pokesearch.

Unfortunately I only have one so you three must stick together so I know where you all are. I will have to figure out a way to invent something so it can pinpoint all of you at the same time but for now that'll do. I'm sure there will be some resources that I can use around here. One of the Eeveelutions here is a treasure collector and seems to like selling items that he finds that he doesn't find any use for. Most of the items he has were dropped by trainers so maybe I could get some things from him. For now, I'll give this to Luigi. Make sure you hide it under your sleeve so no one can see it and take it off of you."

"Okey dokey! Thanks Professor." Luigi told him. He slipped it around his paw and used his mouth to tighten it enough so it wouldn't slip off.

"All three of you should take care of yourselves and if anything happens be sure to come to me or Faith," E.Gadd said.

"We will, Professor," Lightning assured him.

With that Lightning, Mario and Luigi left the Professor alone to work on his inventions.

Finally finished another chapter. This chapter was meant for last month but I got too busy and distracted with other things that I didn't finish it until now. More will be coming soon... hopefully quicker than this one. Hope you enjoyed ^^
Also may be changing Polterpup into a Greavard instead now.
