Arealia's POV: I get up out of bed. It's 5:00am so I put on my robes and go down to the common room. No one else is awake at this time (as per usual) so I just sit by the bookcase and open my favourite book.

I read until other students wake at about 8:ooam for breakfast. Me and my two friends Danika and Letitia walk down to the Great Hall and sit at Ravenclaw table. We talk quietly and eat for it seems like ages before more students enter the hall. Danika and Letitia go quiet and look behind me. I turn and see Kye Black standing there.

"Hey...Ari...hows it going?" he asks, his words slurring. I can smell the alcohol on his breath. "Fuck off Black!" I say pushing him away. He sits down next to me, "Aw, Snape is a little bit angry today," he says mocking me. I stare coldly at him, "Shouldn't you go now? You have to go clean up, I mean look at you, you look ghastly," I chuckle, "You better not smell like that in...5 minutes."

"What do you mean?" he asks confused. "You have been drinking again, you are so drunk!" I say laughing (a little too loudly). He scowls, "I don't know what your talking about." I laugh and it is clear that it bothers him. He smiles mischievously at me, "You care about me...looks like you can't resist the charms of a Black!" he mocks, flicking his hair. "You wish Black!" I stand and walk away from him.

You see, I have known Kye for years...ever since first year. Our parents HATED each other and I'm proud to say that we have carried on the tradition. Kye is one of the over-confident, egotistical, popular, Gryffindor guys and I'm a quiet, studious, only has two friends, Ravenclaw kind of girl...we were never going to get along. Ever since first grade we have pranked and pissed off each other, we have absolutely no respect for each other and I intend to keep it that way.

Me, Danika and Letitia enter Transfiguration class and sit down at the front. Kye and his many friends enter too and they sit down at the back. McGonagall enters the room and greets us, she then walks to the front and starts writing on the board. "Today, we are going to be in pairs because we will be learning a switching spell! Please find your assigned partner and stand behind the casting desks!" she beckons at the class, pointing at the board with names now scribbled across it.

I scan the board for my name...guess who I'm partnered with...you got it, Kye Black. He turns to me, flicking his long black hair to the side and casts a smirk at me.

I feel my cheeks heating up...am I blushing! I turn quickly and rub my face with the ball of my palms, trying to make the pink glow over my face to disappear. He walks over to the table with me and we stand behind it. He looks at me and I pretend I don't notice. McGonagall brings out the guinea pig cages and we get the small animals out.

I place our guinea pig on the table and watch it as it nibbles on a piece of food. Kye whips out his wand and points it at the guinea pig. "Alright everyone, say the incantation and begin, we will be turning a guinea pig to a piggy bank!" McGonagall tells the class, regaining her place behind her desk.

"I wonder...if the switching spell could change you from a cranky, smarty-pants, goodie-two-shoes bitch to...someone like Kelsea," Kye says tossing his wand from one hand to the other. "Ha. Ha. I would never be like Kelsea, she is so naive and dumb!" I say looking over at a blond girl.

She flicks her long, thick hair and turns around to see us. She smiles and brings her hand up to wave. Her hand knocks her friends wand off the their table it falls to the ground, sending a powerful flash towards McGonagall's desk. It strikes the desk leg and it up, causing the desk to fall to the ground. McGonagall looks at her sternly and she rushes to the front to help fix it.

I turn back to Kye, "See what I mean?!" He rolls his eyes and points his wand at me. "Kye? Wha-" I say before he cuts me off. He says the incantation and strikes me with the spell. It hits me but rebounds and strikes him as well. We fall to the ground with a thump. "YOU IDIOT, DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT COULD HAVE DONE!!!!" I yell standing up. He just laughs and walks away.

After class I walk back to the common room. I go up to the dorms and go to sleep, today has been exhausting.

Next Day:

I wake up, slowly, I seem heavier this morning. I sit up and rub my eyes. Wait! My hands aren't this rough! I open my eyes. "Ahhhhh!" I scream and jump out of bed. I look around. This is the Gryffindor boy's dorms. I run over to the nearest mirror. "Ahhhhh!" I scream again. I'm...I'm...Kye Black...
