" English, how can I help you today," you said smiling at him. You really hate him.

" Oh I thought we were on first name basis now what happened are you mad at me," Jake said coming up to the counter

" yes we are Jake but I have so much to do today with the inventory shipment today I really don't have time for 50 questions," you said looking at him.

Jake started to investigate things. He looked around every corner and crack

" last month got had 24 sacrificial red wine now you have 22. Do you have documentation of where those bottles went" he said turning around to you holding a small slip of paper out

He took it from you reading it over

" so this religion gathering used 2 bottles of wine? Standard is 1" he said giving you the side eye.

" at the bottom 60 people attended. And standards are 30 per bottle." you said folding your arms

" just checking........you are good to go" Jake said handing you the paperback

" you do understand I'm obligated to check here once a month. You are 1 of 3 locations in the city that has papers to sell red wine strictly for the purpose of religion. I have to make sure you are following the law now don't i" Jake said making your eye twitch. God, you hated him.

" Well I do follow the laws and I pity the fools who you cross," you said folding the paper back up

" doesn't that make you a fool" Jake said leaving the back room

You watched him go for a moment you imagined grabbing him and beating his head in.

" I meant in the breaking the law wise type of cross," you said following him out

You let out a sigh and you head back downstairs through the hatch.

" he is gone," you said as the lights came back on and everything lights up and people resumed the drinking.

" how was Jake," Roxy said from the bar. Where Jane was mixing a drink

" annoying as ever," you said rubbing your face walking over
