*Janna's POV*
I slowly made my way up the stairs towards our room. I climbed into bed and felt Louis press his back against mine. I missed my little girl. He rolled towards me letting his fins drape themselves over my cold toes.
"Let me keep you warm."He whispered sleepily. I didn't protest as strong arms wrapped around me pulling me into a warm chest. I was so cold.
"Lou, do you think she's OK because she can't sleep unless I tuck her in."I whispered and Louis sighed gripping me tighter than before.
"I don't have the foggiest idea love."I pressed my nose against his bicep and relaxed to let myself fall into sleep. It was a welcomed break from the worrying I was doing. Sleep was an escape from the pain. It was a chance to forget and feel some peace for once. It hadn't been a day yet, but I could feel the anxiety draining my strength. I was weak, scared and cold, but at least I had Louis and Louis had me.
*Merikh's POV*
"Mummy always reads me a story before bed."The half breed brat whispered.
"Do I look like your Mummy?"I hissed.
"I want my Mummy."She whimpered curling up on her side and I saw the tears roll down her cheeks. I couldn't tell you that that didn't hurt me a little to see her cry, but I paid no attention to it.
"Oh shut up you half breed freak."I yelled and she stopped whimpering. I went back to my crystal ball waving the smoke away to see a picture of the Prince alone in bed. His forehead was scrunched up like he was thinking so hard he was in pain. His hands grabbed at the sheets like he was searching for a body that wasn't there. The human bitch was gone and he was weak. The royal family had put all their trust in this one, but he was going to let them down. He was going to let them all down.
*Harry's POV*
I stared at my reflection in the mirror. The red rimmed eyes and broken expression made it hard to believe I was staring at my own face. I had lost her and I was going to find her. I swam slowly towards Louis's room. I paused before knocking. What am I going to do if he hates me? I rapped on the door with my knuckles rubbing them to take away the sting.
"Come in!"Janna said and I slowly opened the door.
"Harry, don't be afraid."Louis turned from the window and relief crossed his face.
"Harry, I'm so sorry for how I acted. It wasn't your fault."He said placing a hand on my shoulder. I tensed up at his touch."Can you forgive me?"I nodded slowly and he smiled slightly.
"Now, about finding my daughter."
"I'm going to look for her."I said quickly and Janna snapped her head towards me.
"You can't Harry. You don't every know where to start."
"I don't care, I lost her and I will find her."Janna smiled looking at Louis who had a stony expression on his face.
"We will all look for her Harry."
"No, you won't."The stony expression didn't change but I saw the angry fires light behind his eyes. "Excuse me?"
"You're not going out looking for her."
"Harry, you would do well to remember your place in this. I'm going to look for my daughter."I sighed looking up at him sadly.
"I am remembering my place in all this Louis. I am just a servant and you're the Prince. I will forever stay where I am and you will be King one day. You can't go looking for her so I will."
"I can do what I want I'm the bloody Prince."I couldn't stop myself from doing what I did next. I shouldn't have done it, but I did.
"No Louis you can't! Don't you understand?"I yelled causing him to swim a few paces backwards."You're the crown prince! You can't die it would send the Kingdom into a pure panic! I'm just a servant and I'm worth nothing compared to you! No one would care if I-"I trailed off realizing that I was yelling and choking on my own words. Louis very calmly came towards me and I backed up until I was pressed against the wall.
"Don't you ever say you're worthless ever again Harry. Do you understand me?"I nodded."You're my best friend Harry, you are not worthless."Janna threw her as around my neck and I froze unsure of what to do.
"You're supposed to hug her back."Louis chuckled and I slowly wrapped my arms around her back. She pulled away from me holding my face on her hands like a mother would a hurt child.
"While I'm glad you would do that for my baby, I would never want you to think you don't matter. You matter to your Mum and your sister. You matter to me, Louis and Lydia. If you're going to search than we're going to search too."I nodded and she let me go. Mum had been wrong about everything. I may technically be just a servant, but I was also the future King's best friend and I guess that made me pretty special.
