" Have you heard of the Lost City?"

"Yes, everyone knows it crumbled underwater an eternity ago."

" I know how... and why it crumbled."

"I'm listening."

"Thought so.... Long ago it was home to both land and water beings of magick. Mermaids, fairies, gnomes and elves lived peacefully for thousands of years. " The old woman paused a moment.

"One day, word came that the mortals were going to come and snoop around, more than likely destroying the place. The Great Queen of the fairies wouldn't tolerate it. She sent for the king of the mermaids." The elder woman paused again, catching a breath.

"After a long discussion, combining their magickal abilities... They put a magick bubble over the city, then pushing it through the magick portal in the bottom of the ocean. It wasn't powerful enough, parts of the city broke off into the ocean, but most of it went through... breaking the portal on both sides."

"That was a pretty good one," I told her.

"Come back again, I'll spin you another." She said, giving me directions back home. I promised that I'd visit again.
