Beckett looked at me, and it looked like he had seen a ghost. I squinted and fluttered my eyes because the light was so bright. I had a burning sensation in my throat, and I had an awful headache, but it didn't matter. I was back. For about two log seconds, Beckett's face was completely blank, then he yelled " Nurse! I need a nurse!" I had tears streaming down my face, and I wanted to talk, but I had something hard down my throat. A nurse rushed in and took the long thing out of my throat. I looked over at Beckett, and he had tears running down his face and he had a hand over his mouth. " Evie, I can't belive this. How did you.....the doctors said..." After talking, he enveloped me in to one of his warm hugs. " B..B..Beck" I managed out of my sore, dry throat. " Evie, love, you have no idea how long I have waited for you to come back to me. You are the love of my life and my life would never be whole without you in it." With that, he kissed me. This was no normal kiss, either. It was like we had never kissed before, it was so new and passionant, I thought I would float away. This sounds cheesy, I know, especially for me.I rested on and off, and each time I woke up, I got to see Beck's beautiful face. When I woke up, he would always say " Hey there, sweetheart." I got to see him smile every time, too. That crooked, amazing smile of his made my life so much better. Of course, i talked to my aunt Bee and Uncle Ted a lot,too, but Beck was the best. About three days before I was going to be discharged, Beck asked me a question. " Evie, Do you even realize whats happened to you?" That question hit me like a truck. Thats when I realized that he was the first person to ask me that. " Beck, I know. I know that this sounds really weird, but I could still see everything. I know my family is dead, I know i'll never get to see them again, but I also know what you did for me. I know that you came here every day for all those months with your i-pod, so that we could still listen to music together, I know about all those times you were begging me to wake up, I know about all those kisses you gave me on the cheek, I can still feel all the tears you shed and all the pain you felt. Beck, I love you and can't wait to be with you for the rest of my life." Beckett looked shocked. " How did...." He seemed curious, but then shrugged it off. " Evie, I love you more than anything that could ever exist, and I can't wait to be with you, too"
