Ms. Joce's POV

This chapter is happens before the soccer practice chapter. 

I'm so exciting, I Iove teaching this class! Mostly because I get left overs, but also watching the students fail at their attempts. Hmm, maybe I shouldn't be a teacher. Then again I say that every year and still the students love me. Eventually the students came in and I decided to have them make me a cake! I split them up in a group of two and told them to make me the most beautiful cake. I told them I wasn't looking for taste, but how the cake looks. Beautiful. I also wanted to pick the groups because I like having control, but like in a fun way! So, the groups are:

Wendy Moore and Bella Jones

Wirt Miller and Sara Jones

Jane Farris and Lucy Haynes

Clara Faye and Owen Joe

Bethany Cansy and Kaylee Albuma

Henry Shannon and Theo Woode

Mercy Torres and Tanner Jem

Let's go in order. I like to listen to their conversations, I am a really bad teacher.

"Hey, I'm Wendy." Wendy smiled.

Bella smiled back, "Bella, officially a cheerleader."

"Oh."

"Oh?"

"So, what kind of cake do you want to make?" Wendy completely ignored Bella.

I overheard from some other kids that Wendy and Lucy hate each other because they had a falling out or something.

"Uh, what's you talent?"

"Wizardry."

"So, lets make a cake around that."

Wendy smiled a little, "Sounds good to me!"

Okay, so Wirt and Sara had a pretty normal conversation, kind of boring. She said she doesn't have many friends and he offered to be her friend. It was cute, but wasn't interesting. So, lets move on Jane and Lucy. Every teacher has a favorite student, they're lying when they say that they don't. Lucy is not one of my favorite students, her boyfriend on the other hand, is. Jane looks like a complete burn out and Lucy is some preppy rich girl, this should be interesting. I leaned back in my chair, pretending like I wasn't listening. 

"So, the cake we're baking is going to be a school spirit cake." Lucy took charge, right away. 

"I mean, we could make it a special cake." Jane shrugged.

Is she hinting at pot because I would not tattle, but I would have to take the cake away and dispose of it. Wink...

Lucy rolled her eyes and began to bake. Jane tried to help, but she wouldn't let her. 

"Wow, not only is your boyfriend a piece of shit, but so are you." Jane pointed out. 

Oh snap. 

Lucy looked really annoying, "Excuse me? Do you know who you're talking to?"

Jane nodded, "Some girl with daddy issues."

"Jane Farris, I am going to ruin your life."

"Wow, you're like every popular girl in every single movie about high school," Jane added, "Head cheerleader, spoiled, you're probably cheating on your boyfriend because he just isn't enough."

I mean, Jane's probably right. Lucy always wants more, never happy with what she has. 

"I am in love with Owen."

Jane just looked at her, with absolutely no belief. Lucy left and walked up to Owen. She grabbed him and started to make out with him. Gross. She pulled away and walked back to her station. Owen had a dumb smile on his face. He has no idea what just happened. 

"Just because you kissed him, doesn't mean that you're not a skank."

Lucy looked so pissed. She's going to try and make Jane's life a living hell. I shall befriend her and be her bodyguard. I do that for my favorite students. Yeah, Jane is awesome. Next up is Clara and Owen. Now I heard he didn't want her on the soccer team, even though she is really good. They bot just stood there in silence. 

"You make the cake batter, I'll make the frosting and we don't have to talk at all?" Owen suggested.

Clara just nodded and they began. I was hoping for more. But whatever, you don't win them all. So, next is Bethany and Kaylee they were just talking about cheerleading and the homecoming game/dance. Then they got into a weird conversation. It was something about Kaylee being a big flirt and loves dares. So, Bethany dared her to go up to the new kid, Tanner and kiss him. General information about him, he's a huge dork, loner, super awkward. Might end up being a serial killer? Kaylee did it. Tanner looked so nervous and lost. He's like a lost, creepy puppy. Next is Henry and Theo. They got along through music. Henry was interesting in Theo's band. That's pretty cool. Finally, it's Mercy and Tanner. 

"You act like that was your first kiss ever." Mercy snickered.

Tanner nodded.

"Wait, it was?" 

He nodded, still in shock. 

"How was it?"

"Could've been better. But you're friends with her, right?"

Mercy nodded, "Yeah, but she would never date someone like you."

He shook his head, "I would never date someone like her. Make sure you tell her that her kiss was like a ride in the washing machine."

"What?"

"Long story about how I know that, but she's not good." 

"How do you even know? You just said that was your first kiss, maybe it was you." She was defending her friend. Cute. 

I'm very excited to see where this goes. 

He just shrugged and kissed Mercy. He pulled back, "How was that? You tell me if I'm bad."

"Um."

"I'll take that as you don't want to offend your friend. Don't worry, I'm too much of a loser to talk to her." 

This class just has a lot of kissing... Why? At least give me someone to kiss. Jeez. 

"By the way, I'm not interesting in you either." He pointed out.

So, loser kid had a great sense of humor, is a fearless badass and looks so done with life. Wow, he's my new favorite.
