"Be my girlfriend," he appealed.

I looked at him for a second before gaining interest in my nails, I decided to start picking my nails, awkward tension filled the air as silence descended.

Seconds later, he talked, "Aanuoluwakiisha, you didn't reply me"

I smiled before looking up at him.

"But I'm nodding," I squeaked and a slow smile appeared on his face.

"You mean...," and I nodded again.

In a split second, his hand came around my body as he hugged me.

"Get off me!," I joked while pushing him away and he smirked.

"Remember, free hugs today," he said while pointing at my top.

"You're not okay"

"We can as well add free kisses to it," he said with a wink and I rolled my eyes, just then the door opened.

We both looked up and Idiat walked in alongside Yimika, they were both wearing the same clothes, a native attire.

"I don't know you people wear couples tees too oo," Jared joked and they smiled.

"It's just a coincidence," Yimika objected as Idiat walked up to me with beaming smiles.

"Hmmm, coincidence," I commented as I turned to Idiat.

"You guys coming together is coincidence too abi?" I questioned her as she smiled.

"No, he was actually at my place and for the clothes, it's his grandpa's burial party cloth, so it's a coincidence we wore it together today," she explained while I nodded.

"He was at your place? No wonder you guys came late, I'll punish you today, go and kneel down there," Jared joked.

Idiat and Yimika laughed hysterically.

"What of Joshua and Demolu?" Yimika questioned immediately he stopped laughing.

"Here," we heard Joshua and Demolu respond as they walked in.

"Good, you're all complete now, oya, go and lie down flat there, punishment for coming late," Jared teased and they smiled.

"You're not okay," Joshua said to him and he beamed with smiles.

"Let's go to the study," I said and they all turned to me as if I said the forbidden.

"I didn't come here to read today oo," Yimika whistled.

I opened my mouth to reply but Demolu did before me.

"Me too oo"

"Then why are you here?" I questioned.

"To have fun," they both replied in unison as they shared a look and then laughed.

"But...," I started and Idiat interrupted.

"There's nothing to study, we've practically finished everything so I guess we should catch fun at least once in a while"

"I second that," Joshua said and I eyed him.

"Me too," Jared uttered with a raised hand and I glared at him but he returned it with a wink. Stupid boy.

"Everyone agreed except you,... so fun it is," Demolu shouted as he ran out of the room while others followed.

"Why did you agree?" I asked as I drew Jared back with the collar of his shirt when others were out of sight.

He turned to me and smiled.

"Hon' it's nice to catch fun"

I lifted an eyebrow before tilting my head.

"Hon'?"

"Yeah, I told you I'll change your name when you become my girlfriend," he said with a smile and I chuckled.

"Hon' sounds like Horn so, I don't like it," I told him and he squeezed his face before placing his index finger on his lips as he cocked his head like someone thinking.

"Bonito then,"he said as he dropped his finger and turned to me.

"What's Bonito?"

"It means pretty in Spanish," he explained and I chortled.

"It sounds like Bonita and I'm not a pasta," I told him and he scrunched his eyebrows.

"Nene or Bebe then"

I quirked my lips before laughing uncontrollably.

"They both mean baby oo," he said and I finally stopped laughing.

"Nene sounds like an Igbo name and Bebe is the the word of the dumb,"I told him and he pursed his lips.

"Your siblings told me you do take their cheese balls so I believe Cheese balls is the perfect name"

I eyed him and he laughed. Those kids would surely get it from me today.

"Okay, Reina then," he said with a grin and I smiled. That sounds nice and beautiful.

"What does it mean?"

"Queen," he replied with a smile.

I opened my mouth to talk but the appearance of Idiat stopped me.

"Hmmm what are you guys doing?" she asked as she folded her arms while giving us a suspicious look.

"It's nothing," I assured her as I stepped forward, she nodded still with that suspicious look but I walked past her, she followed my trail so also Jared.

Demolu approached me with a smile and open arms as soon as we got downstairs, apparently, he already read what was on my top and he wanted the free hug, Ah, I made a mistake wearing this top o, this is the last time I'll be wearing it, sha. Immediately he got closer to me, Jared's index finger pushed him back to the other guys who were seated on a Chaise lounge while Idiat had jumped on a sofa, and I smiled.

"Why can't I?" Demolu questioned Jared who smiled.

"I can't allow you to," he replied and I smiled.

"Hmmm, come to think of it, what were you guys doing upstairs when we came down?" he asked while glancing suspiciously at me and Jared.

"That's even true," Joshua added.

"Nothing," I replied and they all cast a dubious look at me.

"Idiat, what were they doing when you went up?" Joshua questioned and Idiat shrugged.

"They were in close contact and I heard the word 'Queen' from Jared," she replied while smiling sheepishly at me.

"Who is Queen oo?" Joshua teased and I rolled my eyes.

Jared glanced at me before replying, "Kiisha"

They all shared a knowing look and I scowled at Jared.

"Is Queen among your names nii?" Yimika questioned stupidly.

"No o"

Joshua then turned to Jared, "Then why did you call her queen?"

I dashed Jared a warning look but he smirked at me, I'll surely kill him today.

"That's my new name for her"

"Hmmmmmm," they all chorused while sharing a knowing look.

"I smell something fishy here," Idiat said while sniffing her nose dramatically.

I pouted before joking, "Nobody is cooking fish o, abi you are ke"

"Stop pretending," Demolu countered and I rolled my eyes.

"Now, guys tell us, is something going on between you two?" Joshua asked with a crooked look while pointing at the both of us, actually we were both sitting on a two-seater that was opposite the chaise lounge.

I glanced at Jared with a warning look that he ignored before nodding.

"You're a dead meat," I shouted before grabbing his neck.

"I knew it," Demolu screamed as he jumped up. I looked at everyone of them and they were beaming with smiles. I gave Jared a puck in the stomach before letting go of him.

"It calls for celebration," Joshua said and I glared at him but he waved it off.

"Should we order food or you'll cook?" Yimika, the food monger asked and I eyed him.

"No need to order anything joor, we'll cook together," Jared said before grabbing my hands.

"I'm not cooking anything," he didn't listen to me but rather dragged me up .

"What will you like to eat?" he asked and I rolled my eyes with a pout.

"Yam and scrambled egg," Yimika shouted and the others nodded in agreement.

"Good," Jared muttered before dragging me to the Kitchen.

"Why did you agree?" I asked but he ignored me and picked up the apron from the hangar, he moved closer to me and wore it on me before tying its tape, and then moved a step back and placed a soft kiss on my forehead before putting on his apron.

I smiled and squealed internally. He dashed me a charming smile before going to the cabinet side where he brought out two tubers of yam and placed it on the kitchen table.

He removed two knives from the rack and gave me one before pushing a tuber at me. Then, he brought out a pot, rinsed it, and filled it with little water.

"So, you're to slice that yam tuber into ten pieces, same applies to me too and we are to look out for the first person to complete that," he said with a smile and I shook my head.

"What if I cut myself in the process?"

"You can't and you musn't, else it would be termed cheating," he said with a smirk and I rolled my eyes.

I moved the yam tuber closer as I plunged the knife into it.

"Okay, at the count of three," he announced and I pouted.

After the count, we both started the useless thing and he finished before me.

"Yaaay," he shouted while fist bumping the air.

"It's not as if you won in something meaningful so why are you shouting?" I asked jocularly and he eyed me.

"Oya peel it oo, don't peel off all the yam," he ordered and I eyed him.

"You're cooking it oo," I told him while we were peeling the yam.

He looked up from it and smiled, "Then you'll fry the egg"

"Okay then," I agreed.

After the peeling, he rinsed it and placed it on the cooker, we both sat on a stool while watching it and talking.

"Here you are," Jacinth interrupted as the walked into the kitchen fully dressed in a yellow short flared gown, seems she was going out.

"What?" Jared queried with a lifted eyebrow.

" Sorry for disturbing your blissful moment," she teased and I pursed my lips.

"Thank goodness you know," Jared said.

"Hmm, anyway, I'm going to Memunat's place," she announced.

"Okay oo," Jared replied.

"Help me bring spaghetti from her place oo," I added and she smiled before leaving.

Minutes later, I stood up to prepare the egg while he only sat down to watch me. After some minutes, the food was ready.

"See, I'm tired and I can't serve anything maybe you should call Chin Chin," I said while removing the apron.

"What did you do,? and when will you call her name correctly"

"Water," I eyed him while returning the apron to it's place.

"Okay oo," and we both walked out of the kitchen.

"Here comes the host couple," Demolu shouted and I threw a pillow at him.

Minutes later, we all went to the dining after Chichi and Jared served the food.

"Hmm, our couples can cook oo," Joshua teased and I eyed him.

They kept on talking while we were eating, they don't even know the meaning of table manner 'cause they kept on moving from one topic to another till we finished the meal.

"Let's play truth or dare," Demolu proposed immediately we all got to the lounge which was outside the house, we'd all decided to go out and enjoy the breeze of Jared's compound.

"Please, I'm not playing that stupid game," I told them with a stern look.

"It's because you don't want to do those things abi," Yimika said and I scowled at him.

"Whatever," I waved my hand and they all chuckled.

"Then, what do you want us to do then?" Joshua questioned.

"We can just remain like this," I said and they all gave me this you-must-be-joking look.

"You're no fun at all," Jared said and I glared at him. Stupid boy.

"Hmmm, you want us to sit like this, then we must be entertained," Idiat said and I eyed her while she returned it with a sheepish smile.

"That's even true, Jared and Kiisha should entertain us at least they're good singers and their voice together is heavenly," Joshua proposed and I eyed him.

"I agree," others said in unison except Jared and I.

Demolu turned to Jared, "So?"

He glanced at me and I gave him a warning look.

"Oookay," he replied and I slapped his head.

After much persuasion, I decided to do it, so we went up an imaginary stage and we sang together and I must say, it was nice. Later, we all proceeded to sing and dance together. The idea of catching fun was better after all.
