It was a normal day. I was at home and everyone else was gone at the moment. I was reading on Wattpad when my door bell rang. I get nervous when I'm home alone so I grabbed the giant ass sword that my brother keeps in his closet. I slowly walk down the stairs and look through the glass of the door. It's a group of people. There where 7 that I could see. There might be more hiding though. "Who is it?" I yell from inside. "It's Percy!" I hear someone yell back. "Percy who?" I say partly to myself. "Jackson." The familiar voice says back. They look familiar. There's 7 of them. Could they be? No. No way. That's from a book. A fictional world. But...just maybe. "Like the son of Poseidon?" I ask. There was a pause before he answered. "How did you know?" No way. This couldn't be happening. "Come on out. We think you might be one of us." A blonde boy with glasses says. Ok. I'm definitely dreaming. There's no way this is happening. I don't believe them but I unlock the door and walk out to talk. They look exactly like the books say. "You guys know there's a book about y'all right?" I ask. Anabeth says "Yea. Rick is an old friend from camp." Oh. That explains all the details being spot on. "You said you think I'm one of you. What do you mean?" I ask Percy. He looks at me for a moment then he says "We think one of your real parents is a god." "Greek or roman?" I ask. Please be Greek please be Greek. "Your Greek." Wooohooo. I didn't show my excitement so that the romans of the group don't get mad. I don't know why I've just always liked the Greek gods better. "So camp half blood then. Is that where your taking me?" I ask them. "Not right now. It's a long way up north. We've traveled for a few days to get here. With the Argo out of commission it's been hard reaching people this far but we heard a lot about you. Skyron said that he had a feeling that we need to get you soon and start training you. But we need a place to stay for the night. Do you mind?" Jason asks me. I open the door and hold it for them. "Of course not. My dad and step mom are out of town and it's only me and my brother still living here but he's at a friends. We don't have much to eat but I can go get some McDonald's or something if y'all want." "How would you get there?" Leo asks. Leo. He hadn't spoken since they got here and him speaking mad me so giddy. Yes I'm a nerd leave me alone. "My car? How else?" "I mean what kind. I didn't see one in the drive way." He says. "It's in the garage. Fallow me." I lead him to the garage and open the door. Half of the garage was like a man cave with a pool table and bar with a tv on the wall and the other half was where I kept my baby. A 1969 impala. "Wow" Leo says. "Your parents must be loaded." I can hear the excitement in his voice. "No. I seen supernatural when I was 8 and told my dad this is the kind of car I wanted. I actually wanted a 67 but this is the closest he could find. It was just a big rusty body when we found it. No seats or anything. I've been rebuilding it since I was 10. Just finished her about 3 months ago." I tell him. "I'm gonna send word to the Hephaestus kids back at camp to start on a garage for this. There's no way you can leave it here. It's to bad ass." And he starts going through his tool belt looking for some sort of com device. "Thanks man. I got a truck around back to so we can all drive back to camp half blood instead of jacking rides." I say to the rest of the group. I get the keys from my room and ask "Whos driving the truck and whose riding with me?" I ask "Leo runs to me and says "I'm riding in that beast." As he points at my car. "Ok that's settled. Now who's driving the truck?" I look around "I will." Frank says as he walks forward. I hand him the keys. "Y'all find a place to sleep. The room at the end of the hall upstairs is mine but we have extra beds in there. The one beside the window is mine. I'll be back. Here's a phone incase anything happens while I'm gone getting food. Don't reck the place. Please." I say as I walk towards my car. "Can I go with you?" Leo asks. "Sure man. You can catch me up on what's happened since the books ended." "A lot man. A lot has happened." "Let's roll then." We get in the car and I press the garage door opener and pull out closing the door behind me. "So. Calypso. Y'all still together?" I ask him as he pulls out some mints from his tool belt. He raises his left and and I see a ring. "Were engaged." Wow. "Congrats man. What else has happened." "Dionysus is back on Olympus. His exile is over. The Greeks have cabins at camp Jupiter and vice versa but usually we stay at our respective camps except for us. Hephaestus cabin got a complete remodel with new tools thanks to my dad. My dad is-" " I know who your dad is. I've read all the books remember. Hopefully we're brothers." I say as we pull into the drive through. "You want to be a Hephaestus kid?" He asks. It's not only that I wanted to. I half expect to. Me and Leo are so similar. I've been working on machines since I could walk. I like fire. Probably unhealthy but that dosnt matter. "Hell yea. Hephaestus rocks man." We high five and I order 16 McDoubles for everyone to get 2 each. We drive back as he tells me all the exciting adventures they've been on since the battle against Gia. I'm surprised they arnt dead. We pull up and I park back in the garage and close the door with the button. I walk upstairs and everyone's in my room taking terns playing PS4. "Burgers!" Frank yells and they all look up at me and Leo. I walk over and hand them the bags after getting mine out. We eat and talk for a few minutes. When we're done frank says "We need sleep. Long drive tomorrow." "Right. There's extra blankets in that closet and pillows in the top. Pick a bed." We all get laid down and I fall asleep within minutes.
