Ashley's POV
I was dragged out of the cafeteria by Damian with me snarling and growling sending murderous looks and glares at Valeria. Rose left with us and ran away, from her scent, to the bathroom. I broke out of Damian's hold and ran after Rose, hoping she might've bumped or crashed into her mate. It seemed that luck was on my side today because Rose looked starry eyed and the unknown male looked at her like she was the only girl in how world. I was about to squeal but held myself back from ruining their precious moment. Damian, Meg and Josh came up to me and were about to start yelling/talking/demanding why I ran and stopped. I shushed them quietly and motioned for them to look at Rose and her mate.

"I knew it!" I whisper yelled.

The three sent incredulous looks at me. I shrugged and motioned I'd tell em later.

"What's your name sweet mate?" The stranger asked lovingly.

"I'm Rose Hawthorne/Reynolds." She replied sweetly.

"I'm Derrick Haynes. Third-In-Command from The Moon Pack. I, Derrick Haynes, accept you, Rose Hawthorne/Reynolds, as my mate." He said.

I was hoping and praying he wouldn't reject her and to my happiness and to Roses happiness she was accepted and she jumped into his arms snuggling into his chest. I sighed loudly and clapped gaining their attention. I laughed from the blushes on their faces and went up to the two mates.

"I'm so happy for Rose. I knew you would find your mate today because Carol told me when I after I was in pain this morning." I said.

She kept out of his arms and hugged me as tight as she could, and let me tell you she nearly squeezed out all of my insides she was that strong. Damian pulled me out of her grip and with and with his arm around my waist buried his face into the crook of my neck.

"Forgive me Luna, I'm Derrick Haynes Third-In-Command of The Moon Pack." He said

I waved him off and just shrugged my shoulders with an evil smirk forming. He was going to get the same treatment Josh got, Josh and Meg looked at with amusement and fear/terror.

"Derrick." I said sickly sweet before I bellowed with my voice. "IF YOU DARE HURT ROSE IN ANY WAY, MEnTAL OR PHYSICAL I WILL DO MORE THEN WHAT I SAID TO JOSH. I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN, KILL YOU, BRING YOU BACK TO LIFE, LET YOU ESCAPE, CAPTURE YOU THEN TORTURE YOU FOR ETERNITY BEFOR I FINALLY KILL YOU AND MAKE YOU CANT HAVE KIDS A.K.A RIP OFF YOUR BALLS THEN SHOVE THEM DOWN YOUR THROAT! Ok?" I topped it off with an evil smile sending shivers down every males back.

Derrick looked at me in pure terror and nodded his head while holding his baby-maker. I laughed and for a first time, in a very-very-very-very-very-very long time, a pure genuine smile graced my features making everyone stop and stare at me in awe and pride. Damian looked at me with love singing through his eyes and I might've let my love slip through a bit, making him shocked.

"Hot damn, girl. You finally smiled!" Meg screamed while glomping me.

I looked at her confused then reality dawned. I motioned for Meg to explain this one.

"Well since a very very very very very long time no one could make my best friend, Ashley, smile or laugh like she did today. Damian might've already been told and since Ashley's given me permission to speak and to explain to put it shortly both of Ashley's parents died and she stopped smiling and laughing after her dads death, Alpha Luke and Luna Lily, and she did sad ones when her mom died. She gave fake smiles and laughs to people 24/7 and until today I was worried that she would smile or laugh properly. So thank you so much Alpha Damian, Josh and Beta Derrick for making best friend Ashley smile in so long." Meg said during and smiling.

Me and Rose looked at each other and gathered her into a hug to comfort her. It worked after a long silence and she finally stopped crying and hiccuping.

"Wait... YOUR DAD IS THE FAMOUS ALPHA LUKE AND YOUR MOMS THE FAMOUS LUNA LILY HAWTHORNE!" Screamed Damian, Josh and Derrick together.

I looked at them in confusion with Meg and Rose copying my actions. I motioned for them to explain but they stood shocked. I gave an angry humph and slapped the back of boys head, hard, and by heard I mean really hard earring whimpers from them. I snickered at the while they gave me playful glares.

"Their only the best Alpha and Luna in the world, period. Their legendary but we seem to have forgotten." They flushed in embarrassment.

I looked at them in mild anger and confusion. I stomped my foot on the floor and the floor shook that the sound reverberated through the halls. I looked at the slack-mouthed jaws of the boys and the eyebrow raised girls. I gave them a shrug and.......... Gave them my best puppy pout that always worked and I was always called innocent. They boys had to look away and the girls shook their heads calling the boys "whimps." Us girls laughed loudly and the boys were red with shame. Rose seemed to have gone quiet after awhile and realisation dawn on her.

"Ashley..." She started.

I knew where she was going with this and so did Meg. They gave me both sorrowful glances and I gave them a blank in return but that soon turned into a pain filled expression from me. I slumped down on the ground earning the embarrassed boys attention. Damian went straight to me looking for any injuries. I couldn't speak and I wouldn't so I gave rose a look and mind linked her.

'Rose tell the boys what happens at home.'

She looked at with sad eyes and nodded her head.

Third Person

"Boys." That gained the attention of the boys while Damian was still holding me. "Ashley is...well...umm...to put it bluntly...beaten." She was interrupted with growls from the boys while Damian had a murderous expression on his face. She glared at them and that shut them up. "Know as I was saying before I was interrupted." She glared at them again before speaking. "She is beaten by my mother and sister, if I can even call them that. I am mentally abused sometimes, but Ashley on the other hand is beaten physically and mentally from both of those monsters. No one else knows this but Ashley and I. Not even Meg. Valeria and...Lucy...tried...to...ki...ll...Ashley... A few weeks ago by throwing her out of her bedroom window and out of the territory where rouges where supposed to kill her. Luckily she escaped with only a few cuts and bruises but she was limping for a few days." Rose finished.

Everyone was silent until Meg broke it by putting the pieces together.

"That's why you were limping that day. You said you fell down the stairs! How could you not tell me!" Meg yelled accusingly and hurt by her best friends actions.

Ashley looked at Meg with a cold blank stare that made everyone flinch by the intensity of it.

"You wanna know why?" She whispered.

She looked up at Meg with tears, tears, in her eyes. Meg then felt guilty for making her cry and was about to apologise when she was interrupted.

"TO KEEP YOU SAFE! I HAD TO LIE TO YOU THAT DAY TO PROTECT YOU AND YOUR FUTURE WITH YOUR NOW FOUND MATE! IT HURT THAT I COULDN'T TELL YOU, BUT I HAD NO CHOICE! SHE WOULD'VE KILLED YOU IF I TOLD A SOUL ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED!" She screamed hotly and accusingly.

Ashley then got up, with her back straight and head held high then strutted down the hallway from the people with shocked faces and slack jaw expressions from what she said. It seemed that from what she just yelled and screamed at them that their was more then meets the eye about Ashley Hawthorne, something that she wasn't full telling them but couldn't force out of her. They would have to wait with that mysterious answer.
