Chapter 2-Andre
Running through the dark forest that I call home, I tried to ignore the biting wind, starting to feel numb. Too bad I cant be like Venus and live on that warm hill.
Suddenly, my foot caught on a root and I tumbled to the muddy ground, face first. In the shadows, I hear laughter.
"It's not funny, Isaac," I muttered.
My brother, Isaac, jumped on top of my back.
"Get off," I wheezed. I bucked him off and ran up a tree for my own safety.
"Oh, come on, I was having fun!
I scoffed. "I wasn't."
"That's cause you never do."
"No, it's because you're annoying," I shot back, scooting back down the tree. "I'm going home now."
No longer feeling the energy to run, I walk towards the direction of the hollow under the tree that was in the center of the forest.
On the way, he started to smell smoke from a nearby fire. Andre looked around in a panic, then finally spotted the orange flame in the distance between the trees. He ran to survey the potential damage.
As he got closer, he realized in horror that it wasn't a forest fire; it was a campfire.
