A quick A/N

Hey everyone!

Thanks so much for getting this story to 370 reads! It means so so much to me! Thank you all so so much! :D

Anywho, on with the story! :)

Once I reached the top, I jumped onto a platform that I saw. I noticed there was a create that had a few barrels inside of it.

Jack's POV

So, knowing that the Markimoo liked barrels, I pushed the wooden create off the ledge, which broke it, giving me access to it's contents. 

I jumped back onto the chain and slid down it, fireman style. Once I was back on the ground, I picked up a barrel and walked to the water's edge.

I threw the barrel into the water, hoping that the Markimoo would jump in and grab it.

Mark's POV

I watched this boy as he threw a delicious barrel into the water.  Come on, it's a barrel, what else can I do but eat it?

I steaded myself, my claws digging into the rock beneath me, and jumped into the lake, water splashing everywhere, I think I might've even knocked the boy over.

I looked around for the barrel, swinging my head around.

"Don't climb back out! I'm gonna get more barrels, stay there!" I heard the boy call, so I obeyed while I waited for his return.

Jack's POV

I ran as fast as my little legs could carry me back to where I collected the first barrel, picking one up, then running back to the water's edge to see my awaiting Markimoo.

I dropped the barrel on the platform this time. "Imma drop this one here so you can eat it!" I smiled, backing away a little.

Mark's POV

I walked over to the barrel on this platform, but I didn't know how to reach it, so I tilted my head, looking at it.

I noticed something over at the other side of the lake, so I walked towards it.

I heard a splash a few seconds later, so I looked over to where it came from, noticing the boy throwing another barrel into the water then jumping in himself.

I walked over to him, trying to sniff the barrel, but he was walking in a different direction, towards a small waterfall that provided the water for the lake.

I watched the barrel flow towards the lake, but it became stuck at a rock, so, using my foot and scratched at it, trying to set it free.

Since that didn't work, I just plunged my head into the water and ate the barrel happily.

I followed the boy as he walked out of the water and to the area I discovered eariler, he stopped but I jumped up over him and left my long tail over the edge to help him climb up.

Jack's POV

"WOAH!!!" I squealed, watching the Markimoo jump up on the ledge.

I jumped onto it's tail, climbing up all the way up to it's head, then jumped off. "Thanks buddy!" I smiled childishly.

Together, we ventured to the end of this passage. When we reached the end I jumped on some platforms to get to the small hlow that seemed big enough for me to fit through.

I crawled through and looked at the outside world then I looked back through the hole to see the Markimoo looking at me.

"I'm sorry... I must return to my home... Goodbye Markimoo..." I said softly with tears forming in my eyes, not wanting to lose this magnificent creature.

The reason why I haven't updated for what feels like forever is because I've been losing the motivation to write this story... and the fact that recently I've been going through some really tough times... but everything will be ok, I know it.
