Chapter Fourty Five
"DeLacy you are utterly insane", whispered Anderson in her ear as she stepped out of the car. He wrapped his arm around her putting her hip against his. "You shouldn't be out, especially we there is a target on your head and one of the players invited you here", he purred trying to coax DeLacy out of it.
"It worked", replied DeLacy.
"Besides, if I'm going to die one day I'd rather enjoy myself before hand", said DeLacy removing his hand.
"Not making my job any easier", huffed Anderson under his breath.
"If you can't handle it your welcome to leave Anderson. I'm sure M-I6 has other occupations for you that are more important than me", said DeLacy.
Anderson chuckled following, "I'm afraid my dear that he said your's was of top priority", he whispered.
DeLacy rolled her eyes and walked off into the party.
Anderson sighed, "Alright gentlemen, ladies, you know what to do. Our target is Sir Montage, Irish mafia leader with drug ties to the local cartel here. You know he has man power and is a rather ruthless man....and gentlemen.....don't drink anything here", said Anderson looking around. He stared.
"Where is Louis?", asked Anderson with narrowed eyes and ice in his voice as that man was no where to be found. Everyone looked around. No one did know where Louis was. Best guess was that he was already inside partying at the beach.
"Louis!", snapped Anderson pressing his ear piece. No response.
"Louis! That damn idiot!", hissed Anderson frustrated.
"Do what you have to. In pairs. Rollins, go find DeLacy", said Anderson. Officially the original plan was for Louis to go with DeLacy and stay with her while the others panned out to search. They each knew what this man looked like and his name.
Rollins glanced at Jackson and he straightened himself going into the party of girls in tank tops, short booty shorts, flip flops, high heels and drunk dates laughing their heads off. Rollins entered the wooden patio where the lights dangled around and the Latino music played with dancers. There was a multitude of dancers and people at the bar. Rollins found a girl dancing and rubbing against his side he made his way through the dancing influx to the bar where DeLacy sat speaking with the bar tender.
Rollins stood turning around next to her watching and stood stiffly.
DeLacy tapped him throwing back a shot. "Your sticking out like a soar thumb. Relax Rollins", said DeLacy setting down the glass.
"Sorry Madam but I think your taking this too lightly", said Rollins glancing.
"I've managed nine years Rollins, you haven't even managed one, and that posture will get you killed here. You're already getting uneasy glances from the thugs monitoring the party....the ones monitoring me", said DeLacy taking out her cigarette and blew exhaling.
Rollins looked at DeLacy and decided to take her advice. She was right. He was getting strange looks. Rollins leaned against the counter. "I still think that this is a serious situation DeLacy, and I advise you not to drink anything", said Rollins.
DeLacy smiled, "That's why you pose a big tip to the bar tender to make him reconsider what he puts in it", said DeLacy smacking down a one hundred dollar bill onto the counter looking at the bar tender with a smirk as he brought a glass. She made sure he heard.
"The more I drink, the bigger the tip", she added. The bar tender pulled back the drink that he made. DeLacy had just evaded it being poisoned. The bar tender began to make another one that was clean and not....intoxicated.
DeLacy chuckled to herself, "And money makes the world go round", she said pulling out another tip.
"One for this gentlemen here, and remember....it's all still waiting", said DeLacy to the bar tender. He glanced back seeing the money. It was just waiting.
DeLacy chuckled the cigarette elegantly between her fingers and she smirked, "He won't shoot her Rollins. He prefers to be subtle. He doesn't do mindless killing....if he did....well....it'd be bad for his business wouldn't it?", teased DeLacy.
Rollins raised his eyebrows, "How do you know this?", asked Rollins intuited.
DeLacy smirked, "I don't like to assume things, but since I haven't been shot at yet it's a good educated guess. Tsch! Even though he runs a drug cartel. Honestly it's sickening really. But who am I to say they can't live the way they wish. Unlike others I know", sighed DeLacy twirling the contents of her glass in her fingers.
"Do you know where Louis is?", asked Rollins.
DeLacy pointed back aloofly smiling, "Over there with the Australian hoping he'll get lucky. Honestly Louis might be immature, yet he knows how to blend in easily I can see why he used to be a military sniper", said DeLacy.
Rollins furrowed his brow in puzzlement. How did she make that connection?
DeLacy smiled as the drink was set in front of Rollins. She smirked as a basket of fries was also placed in front of Rollins. Rollins looked at it. DeLacy placed her hand on his shoulder motioning him to come closer, "Now eating.....I wouldn't dare do that here", she whispered.
She threw back another glass, Rollins glass since he wasn't touching it. He let her have it anyway. He wasn't going to dare touch that. But neither the food. Rollins was skeptical and didn't trust his surroundings. He was glancing around.
DeLacy sighed chuckling setting down the glass.
"What do you intend to do?", asked Rollins.
DeLacy smiled, "Quiere bailar conmigo señor?", asked DeLacy.
Rollins knew a bit of Spanish but she spoke with such feverish profession that he didn't think and was utterly confused as to wether DeLacy was actually Hispanic. But DeLacy wasn't. She had just had practice. Plenty of it.
She motioned Rollins to follow with her fingers alluring him and disappeared into the dancing crowd with a smirk
