Chapter Sixty Five
Jackson found his senses come back around and he pushed himself up stumbling. As did everyone else in a groggy manner. Anderson pulled himself up with the table grunting and stared at the things. He picked up DeLacy's wallet opening it. Nothing but her I.D. and credit cards were in there. He threw it down grabbing his hair
"Shit!", he yelled.
No one was really surprised by this. Jackson wanted to curse but he kept his mouth shut glaring at the items on the table.
M-I6 sat there back against the wall jaw clenched. His phone then began to ring. Everyone turned looking at him. Hoping it was DeLacy. M-I6 took it out. He jumped up stumbling the tranquilizer was still wearing off but he leaned his back against the wall saying.
M-I6 nodded, "Thank god.....yes, yes I'll be there right away", said M-I6 wiping his mouth. For a moment Jackson was relieved but M-I6 slipped the phone back in his pocket looking down. He looked at Anderson, "My family is at St Thomas' Hospital....", he turned his head looking at Andrew, "Your partner is there as well, get your coat and shoes", said M-I6.
He looked at the rest of them, "Find the bloody bastard", he hissed to Anderson.
"Go sir", said Anderson.
M-I6 nodded and left with Andrew taking the car keys off the counter and ran out with Andrew behind him.
Andrew looked at Anderson, "Does that mean....",
"Shut up and go!", yelled Anderson to Andrew who flinched swallowing hard and did as he was told. Anderson didn't want to deal with these assumptions.
Anderson began to pull out drawers searching and looking to see if any car key was missing. He opened cabinets to find anything. Any note. Any warning. He snatched Andrew's phone flicking it open. The only messages present were the prior two. The video and the address.
He snapped the phone shut muttering the address over and over again as he turned. Jane May wanted to say something but Anderson snapped at them all, "Stay here! If she comes back I need you here! Lawrence!", said Anderson. Lawrence got up stumbling but followed Anderson quickly. He stuffed his case shut and ran out his body still out of it.
Jackson just stood there. Everyone was quiet. "I'm not just going to sit here and wait!", yelled Jane May standing up but fell back down on the couch groaning. Jackson's vision was still woozy and he felt exhausted and dreary. He clenched his fist.
"Jackson", said Rollins.
Jackson turned seeing just barely that Rollins had tossed a phone towards him. "Your the only one who hasn't made the call", said Rollins.
"Screw the phone call! Your telling me to make a phone call now!?", yelled Jackson.
Rollins swallowed he knew Jackson was angry. He himself was also angry with himself. But he had been drugged. By now there was no way to tell where DeLacy was. Jackson couldn't deal with this and he was pissed off at Rollins. He was pissed off at DeLacy. He stormed out slamming the door shut.
Everyone was silent but they were still out of it. Louis's eyes were still down and Jane May couldn't feel her legs entirely.
Jackson ran out through the door into the rain. He was breathing heavily his heart pounding. He cupped his hands over his mouth.
"DELACY!", he yelled.
No response. Jackson looked around and sprinted randomly in one direction deciding to go to the left. He ran through the rain. His suit was wet and stuck to him. The rain covered his vision and felt it pour down on him. His hair stuck to his forehead and he cupped his hands over his mouth stopping, "DELACY!", he yelled.
There was no response. Jackson heaved his shoulders going up and down as he turned looking around. He was out of breath. He stared through the rain. He had sprinted down several blocks and looked around.
"DELACY!", he yelled again. But nothing came. His lips trembled and Jackson turned punching the wall. Tears filled his eyes.
"Why?! Why?! Why?! Why?!", he hissed kicking the wall.
He pressed his forehead on the cold wet brick stone. He cried closing his eyes. His fist came together fingers curling as he made whimpering sounds. He hit the wall his knees buckling. The rain poured down and he felt cold shivering. Jackson froze suddenly as he felt the phone in his pocket vibrate.
He pushed up taking the phone out snapping it open with a great hurry and answered the call.
