Chapter Two

Jackson had been in the jail cell for four days now. Nothing new. The meals were just as damn bad. Not to mention they were late tonight. It was pissing Jackson off. He'd been sitting here waiting while everyone else had been released to go get there meals. Jackson wasn't allowed to.

Jackson stood cracking his neck. His shoulders rippled and he rolled them back. The small latch opened. Jackson was itching for a fight. He didn't move. If he didn't move....they'd open the door and he could take out his anger and complain about a late dinner.

Jackson cracked his knuckles as the cop waited. "You've got a visitor, I suggest you get your hands out here before they go", warned the officer.

"Tell them to come get me fuck head", said Jackson smirking. He thought it was funny.

"Alright, don't say I didn't warn you", said the officer not caring. Jackson was screwed as it was. Anderson was standing beside the officer smiling as the door was opened. Jackson charged pissed off. He hadn't even time to stare at the man in the dark grey suit who stood in front of him.

All he felt was his body be slammed down against the cement flooring. His head was swimming. "What a thrilling chap we have here. So nice to see you have spirit left", chuckled Anderson straightening his coat.

What the hell just happen? thought Jackson .

He felt his back against the floor and his vision was blurry. The wind was entirely nocked out of his chest...he was already aching? Jackson managed to lift his head and see the back of the stranger who lifted his hand saying, "He shouldn't be much of a problem now", assured Anderson making his exit.

Jackson was cuffed by his ankles and wrists then hoisted up and sluggishly dragged out. Jackson stared at the cement floor as his blurred feet dragged out in front of his eyes. He couldn't even manage to move as much as he wanted to. What the hell had that man done?! Was he some sort of highly trained military officer?!

Jackson smirked that man was going to get it. Jackson wouldn't be caught off guard so easily next time. He admitted to himself charging had been an armature move to pull. This guy unlike the others was better. He was good.

Jackson felt himself thrust into a metal chair.

"You can go now", said Anderson to the officers.

"Seriously? Suit yourself big guy", muttered one officer heading out. He didn't want to have anything to do with Jackson. Jackson to them was a lost cause. The second officer stared at Jackson. He sighed, "Don't screw this one up Jackson, this guy is your last shot", warned the officer. Jackson knew the officer well. He was also a former marine.

But Jackson scoffed, "Where the hell was my fuck'ing dinner Fred?", asked Jackson.

Fred flinched oh how he wanted hit Jackson. But a palm struck Jackson across the face sending him out of the chair. Anderson smiled shoving his removed hand back into his pocket where it had formally been.

"Don't mind him, he'll fix his mouth", said Anderson nodding for the officer to leave.

Fred glanced at Anderson once more. Maybe meeting this guy wasn't going to be all too bad for Jackson....or good. Fred left closing the metal door and Anderson sat on the metal table his legs apart. He took out a cigarette lighting it.

"You want one?", asked Anderson holding one out from the batch.

"Fuck you", said Jackson.

Anderson rolled his eyes and kicked Jackson being just in reach for his nose. "And your supposed to be 28? You sound like a silly teenager", sighed Anderson.

Jackson yelped, "What the hell was that for?!", yelled Jackson. Another kick.

"Your manners need work. Your vocabulary is atrocious, honestly you are going to be a piece of work", huffed Anderson.

"Take off these damn-!", Anderson slammed his shoe again a third time smacking Jackson's jaw up.

"Honestly Mr. Roberts it isn't that difficult", sighed Anderson looking down at Jackson. Jackson glared back blood coming from his mouth and nose.

"Who the f-....", Anderson raised his eyebrows waiting for the rest of the word. But Jackson stopped himself he corrected himself, "Who are you?", managed Jackson.

Anderson smiled clapping his hands, "Good Mr. Roberts, good".

Anderson flicked the chair back up onto it's four legs with his foot. He then waited. He motioned to the chair.

"Have a seat Mr. Roberts", said Anderson.

Jackson grunted pushing himself up and pulled himself up onto the chair. "Impressive, good, this is very good", said Anderson.

"Cut the crap and tell me who you are!", hissed Jackson. Anderson slapped Jackson again but not as hard. Anderson just didn't want to pick the chair up again.

"Your words, your words....so improper. However, I am Anderson Freedman, I'm a representative of the Loyalty Corporation", said Anderson in response.

"What do you want?", asked Jackson huffing.

He was pissed. But he knew that messing with this guy who called himself Anderson. He was serious with what he wanted and he would get it.

"I'm here to propose something to you Mr. Roberts. Let's just say you have been selected due to your expertise and former military combat training", said Anderson.

"What do you mean selected?", asked Jackson.

Anderson chuckled, "You, Mr. Roberts, were chosen by my superior for an important assignment. Of course you'll need proper teaching before you get started. However, I'm positive it's much better than being stuck in a five by five cement room in confinement with no entertainment other than watching yourself piss in the mirror and whistle while you do it", chuckled Anderson.

"Really funny man. You are funny", laughed Jackson this was a joke.  Really what kind of prank was this?

"Really?" asked Anderson as he cast down his eyes smirking.

It was amusing to him that Jackson thought this was such a funny situation. Perhaps in truth it was due to his ignorance. Anderson lifted his coat with his right hand and then pulled out a gun. There was a silencer attached to the barrel.

"Is it funny now Mr. Roberts?", asked Anderson. He raised the gun pointing it directly at Jackson's head.

Jackson's heart began to race instinctively, his body tensed trying to debate the flight or fight response. But Jackson couldn't move. Not under Anderson's stare. He couldn't stop staring into the barrel of the silencer.

That dark endless seeming barrel. Where only a few inches away the bullet was waiting silently.

"No, one will hear Mr. Roberts...I don't mind ending this test right now. You have till the count of one to make your decision...", Anderson smirked just a bit wider showing his perfect teeth. "Because....wasted time, is wasted money....and that just isn't good for business", said Anderson "Five.....four.....three....", Anderson began to count looking at his watch as the golden needle ticked down fragment by fragment.

Jackson swallowed staring at the gun. The numbers went down. His head and heart, and pulse were all soaring as thoughts went around unable to connect. Jackson clenched his teeth. What kind of bullshit was this!? This wasn't fair! Jackson didn't want to die! He didn't want to die!

 "Three....."

...........

"two...."

..........

"one-".

"ALRIGHT FUCKING FINE!", yelled Jackson finally shutting his eyes. Jackson hung his head in defeat. He was shivering....shaking. His skin was prickling. Why was he like this?

Anderson smirked tucking his gun away and then took out his cigarette blowing into the air through his nose.

"Well.....well....seems you came through after all Mr. Roberts", said Anderson. Then he struck Jackson again, "But you still let it slip. Rule number one of being a gentlemen....never let your mouth run", said Anderson smiling.

Jackson lifted his head glaring at Jackson with hard blue eyes. "Mr. Roberts, I wouldn't look at me like that, I'm going to be the least of your concerns...from here on out", warned Anderson with honesty.

Anderson was just an observant. Anderson was the scouter. While his superior....oh he was going to be much harder.

Jackson chuckled, "It's not the beating that's making me angry....it's that your smoke is filling up this whole room it's not allowed you know", said Jackson.

"Neither is being in possession of illegal drugs Mr. Roberts....but this rule....this is nothing compared to the ones that my employer breaks", replied Anderson smiling.

Oh this was nothing at all.
