"Hey, move it!" A bunch of guys flooded into the hallway. Pushing people out of their way, including me and my best friend Amy. Books dropped, and people raised their voices in protest. "What's their problem?" Amy huffed. "Heard they're practicing for the football team tryouts." I offered. Amy tossed her shoulder-length brown hair.  "Isn't it a bit early for that? I mean, the tryouts are in like, what, two months?" We were walking slowly, heading out of our school. School was over, but we wern't in a hurry.

  We waved goodbye to eachother when our route split, she heading to the right and I to the left. I walked slowly to my house. When I swung open the door, a smell of burnt food hit me in my face.

"Mom! What's going on?" I demanded, even though I knew very well what was going on. Mom was probably  cooking one of her new recipes that she either invented or found online. She isn't much of a cook. 

 "Oh, hi there, honey. I was just trying out the recipe I found online. It's called... let me see... Oops!" 

A sound of falling pots met my ears. 

"Nevermind, mom. I'm going to do my homework."

 I went upstairs and flung my bag onto my bed. I unzipped it and took out my english assignment. I was to write a report on anything I wanted, be it about the moon or my personal experiance. It was to be presented to the class two weeks after. I booted up my laptop and went to Word. What was I going to write about? Then I decided. It would be about me, and my love of cats. I typed " "Cats" by Samantha Oak".  I yawned. This was going to be a piece of cake. Talking about my favourite animal in front of the class? Piece of Cake!
