☆THE ONE☆
☆JELLAL X ERZA☆
"Don't you think you should stop writing letters to Juliet, now?" Lucy said as she sat in front of me.
"I still believe she'll help me." I stated.
"Seriously Erza. That's childish!" Lucy complained.
"I don't care if it's childish or not because I truly believe that even with the impossibility of certain things to eventually happen, there's no such thing as no chance at all, there has to be at least a point one chance that it'll happen." I said, still scribbling on the paper.
Lucy sighed. "There's no helping you. Do what you want."
"Thanks for the support." I laughed as she groaned.
Hey. I'm Erza Scarlet. 35. Born from an ordinary family who works hard for a living. Here I am working my ass off as an editor-in-chief in Italy.
It's been awhile since I've been writing a letter to Juliet. Legend says that if you write a letter to Juliet and stuck them up in the wall where her house stood, she'll grant you what you wrote. Some women I've talked to even said that they got a letter back and that their wishes actually came true.
For once, I haven't gotten a letter back from Juliet. I somehow think it's unfair that I haven't received a reply not even once from her. But I never lost hope. I'll keep writing and writing until the day comes that she'll grant the wish that I wrote.
And that is to find "The One".
I'm kinda desperate right?
Well, who wouldn't? I'm already 35! For heaven's sake! My younger siblings already got married before me. They even set me up on a blind date and such. Though all of the set-ups are quite good, every ending is the same. I don't feel a spark between the man I was meeting up with.
And my excuse everytime would be, "I think he's not the one" or "It just doesn't work out well".
It's hard being single, I daresay, since all your colleagues are married and I'm the only single lady in this office. I even heard Cana, a lazy, with-it, and just hangs out all the time got married!
I really hope Juliet would get to read my letter and fulfill it. I've been waiting for a thousand years for "The One" to arrive in my life.
"Call for Ms. Erza Scarlet." One of our apprentice, Lisanna Strauss, said.
"Pass me the line." I said.
"On line." Lisanna called out.
I picked the phone on my desk.
"Hello?" I said.
"Is this Ms. Erza Scarlet?" A lady on the receiver said.
"Yes it is. How may I help you?"
"If you'd like, I'd actually like to invite you to dinner tonight." She replied.
"Mind if I ask who this is?" I asked, surprised at that sudden invitation.
Silence was only heard on the line.
"Hello? Maam? Are you still there?" I asked, checking if she's still there.
"7 pm at The Finest down the 5th block from your office. Wear red. You'll see a blue-haired guy waiting for you tonight." And with that the line ended.
"Hello? Maam?" But no answer anymore.
I sighed.
"Who was that, Erza?" Lucy asked.
"Some lady that invited me to dinner at The Finest. Told me to wear red, and that I'll meet a blue-haired guy or something." I slumped my head back.
"Unknown person?" She asked.
I nodded.
"Could that be a prank?" Lucy asked.
"Perhaps?" I answered.
"But why not give it a try? I mean, maybe it's Juliet?" Lucy said, holding her chin.
"Juliet? Maybe. But shouldn't she write me back instead of calling?" I stated.
"You're right. But you know, technology is available now. Might as well be civilized." She shrugged, as she went back to her cubicle.
I slumped my head on my desk.
It's possible if it's Juliet. I think I might as well give it a try.

"This is good." I said as I twirled in the mirror.
"It's now or never. There's no going back." I stated as I grabbed my pouch and went outside.

*bump*
"I'm so sorry mademoiselle. Are you alright?" The person I just bumped to said.
I looked up, and saw him extending a hand for me to grab on with a smile.
'He's so handsome.' Was the first thought that came to my mind.
I grab on his hand and stood up.
I suddenly withdraw my hand since there was that sudden hint of electricity.
'A spark?'
"It should be me who should apologize. I wasn't looking at where I'm going." I said as I apologetically bowed.
"No worries." He said, extending his hand once more this time for a handshake.
"Jellal. Jellal Fernandes."
"Erza." I said as I shaked his hand. "Erza Scarlet."
"Nice to meet you, Miss Scarlet."
"The pleasure is mine, Mr. Fernandes."
We smiled at each other.
"I'm sorry. I need to go. I need to meet someone later."
"See you around!"

'Nothing's wrong somehow.' I thought as I walked down the 4th block.
"Young lady." A woman called out to me.
I looked around and found no one behind me.
"Is it me you're referring to madame?" I asked.
"Yes, you, beautiful lady." She motioned for me to come to her.
I did nonetheless.
She grabbed my palm. I was taken aback, but decided not to withdraw my hand back since she was drawing the lines on my palm.
"You are going to meet the destined man this night."
"Destined man? W..what do you mean?" I asked, unsure of what she meant.
"A handsome blue-haired guy. You'll meet him at The Finest." She said.
I remembered what the caller said awhile ago.
I then withdraw my hand.
"Lady, he's the one you're destined to be with." She added.
"T..thank you for this information madame. I have to go now." Doubt is evident in my voice. She should've noticed it too.
I walked away from where the old lady was until
"Your wish has been commanded by Juliet~!" She shouted.
I turned back and found that the lady awhile ago was gone.
'Weird. But if Juliet really granted my wish, then this night is the night. I better should hurry.'
I hurried to The Finest, and saw no one around.
"Hello?" I asked. My voice just echoed and I felt shivers run down my spine.
Just on cue, as I was about to turn my heel around, music started to play.
I turned back and saw candles automatically lighting.
I was amazed at how beautiful the place is.
I suddenly saw a silhouette behind the bushes.
I stared at the man holding a bouquet of roses and is nearing me.
As the light dawned the said man, I finally recognized his face.
"Mr. J..Jellal?!" I exclaimed.
"Ms. Erza? What are you doing here?" He asked, surprised.
"I received a phone call awhile ago telling me to come here." I answered.
"You're the red-haired girl Juliet said to me?" He exclaimed.
"You believed in Juliet?" I asked.
"It's not bad to believe, right?" He said as he scratched his head embarrassingly.
"So.."
"Well.."
We both laughed.
He placed aside the bouquet on the table, and kneeled in one knee and offered his hand.
"May I have this dance?" He smiled.
"Gladly, monsieur." I smiled back, took his hand, and we glide into the centre of The Finest.
Hey. I'm Erza Scarlet. 35. Always believed that someday Juliet would answer my letter. And here I am, now with my fiancé, Mr. Jellal Fernandes. I really must say, that I've truly found "The One".
"Thank you Juliet."
