Chapter 2
The reason he wanted her dead was the fact that she reminded him of a terrible mistake he had made many years ago. He could never forgive himself for what he did. He was a very avaricious man when it came to money. His brothers loved him but he couldn't stand them. After a few years he killed everyone of his brothers.
Back on task. I could recognize a familiar song being hummed in a pitch. I drew my gun from its holister or holding place. She turned the corner. There she was standing as stiff as possible. Wishing that the gun would disappear and that I would spare her life.
Her shocked face was priceless to me. I sneered in amusement as I pointed my gun at her head that was possibly thinking of ways to escape the cold, hard, evil stare I was giving her. I wanted to pull the trigger but something stopped me.
I don't know what it was but I wanted it to go away. Here's my chance and I can't kill her. Why? She just stood there as the rain fell from the hood of her jacket to her face. I felt horrible for some reason. I have failed my mission.
No, I can't do this and it won't end like this. She will pay for the pain she has caused me. I want her dead. My gun still pointing at her head full of blonde hair. Am I able to do this? I don't know if I am.
