Chapter 9: Stuck
After I drank the liquid mixture, everything around me seemed foggy. I couldn't see 10 feet in front of me, everything was covered in a thick layer of fog. It had a really creepy vibe. I looked back down at the instructions to find one more step. Putting my hand on the wall. Okay? Weird.
Hesitantly I put my hand against the glass wall and was immediately transported to a black room. Then a hospital scene popped up. I couldn't hear anything that was going on, but from what it looked like I saw a mother giving birth to a child with her husband by her side. Everything was weird. Why was I being shown this? After the baby was born I saw them write the name of the child on her little wristband.
Bryn Blake
That was my name. I was the little baby? These were my parents? Oh my god.
Once again everything went black. All I saw was nothing. Then another scene popped up. Two people riding in a car with a baby in the back seat. They were the same people in the hospital. My parents. The baby in the back seat was me.
Then a car came out of nowhere and crashed into the car with my parents and I. My parents heads were both bloody and I was crying in the back, but I seemed unharmed. The person driving the car that crashed into us got out and called 911.
Then once again it went black. Nothing to be seen. Then another scene popped up, but this time with sound. The sound of a flat line. My mother was lying on a hospital operating table. The doctors were rushing to keep her alive.
"Crash cart now!" one yelled.
"Clear" the same one yelled again then shocking my mom with the paddles.
"Clear" the same one yelled again and repeated the steps.
The main doctor kept yelling clear over and over again trying to get her heart to start beating again, but nothing was working. Soon she stopped and put the paddles down.
"Time of death, 16:48" the doctor called giving up.
The whole O.R. room started piling out leaving them to clean up my mom.
Then instead of going back everything went back to the real world. But this time I wasn't where I was. I was in front of glass looking at a girl wearing a pearl necklace get up slowly. Then she walked to a bike and got on. Then peddled away. I started screaming an pounding on the glass, but nobody could hear me.
All I heard was silence. All around me. Nothing.
I sat down giving up.
I was stuck for good.
