"Together." Stark answered the floating robot.
All of the avengers were under the roof of this stone building. Arches around the whole thing with a metal machine in the center of it. Robots were standing in a line in the hundreds, facing the avengers. The biggest of them all was hovering above them.
Ultron had glowing red eyes and was at least 7 feet tall. His metal shined like something new and was as thick as the sturdiest metal. Fire blasters were attached to his calf, keeping him in the air and his body was shaped as a man. Just without the parts...
I surveyed the avengers. They looked a little battle worn, but still ready to fight. A determined glint in all their eyes. There were three new members, Fury was wrong. The two mutants, yes, the flying muscle, no.
The boy was dressed in a silver body suit. Lady Artemis would appreciate his taste. His hair was mixed with gray and silver with darker tips. From where I stood, I could see the color of a moon shining in his eyes. His sister was almost an exact opposite.
She was shorter than him with flaming hair. It was a mix of red and brown, making it into a dark flame. Her eyes glowed a different kind of red, more scarlet to match her hair. She had this maroon jacket over her shirt. A wispy red glow danced between her fingers.
The last one wore a golden cape. His skin, from what I could tell, was just human skin, muscle to be precise. I couldn't see his face from where I was, but the surface of him was a mix of blue and red. No hair, but I could clearly make out the mind gem glowing a bright blue.
"That's extremely cliche, Stark." Loki stated,"Do you not have anything else?"
All of the avengers and their new teammates heads snapped over to find Loki. He had appeared onto of the key, crouching on it. In his hands were a pair of twin blades. His horned hat was already on top of his head, and his cape flowing in the wind. How dramatic.
"Loki," Ultron speculated.
"That is my name." Loki nodded.
"Are you here to join me in cleansing the world?"
I scoffed at that. As if, unfortunately it gave away my position. I berated my self, bad Agent. All heads whipped over to my location. I'm surprised they didn't have whiplash. I was leaning against one of the pillars in the corner.
I don't believe they noticed me because of my position. I was rather quiet, but the shadows hid most of my body, along with my black uniform I was practically invisible. Ultron turned away from me, regarding me as no threat. I scowled at that, I could see Loki's smirk as the robots eyes fell on him once again.
"Actually, I'm here with these petty mortals to save it." Loki replied indifferent.
I rolled my eyes, insufferable god. Why I even put up with him. Suddenly, Loki's blades transformed into his staff. I felt his power seeping from it.
"Also, the interesting Agent over there." Loki added.
Oh, that's why. How sweet, I rolled my eyes once more. Staff meant blasting, someone was going to be smitten soon. Ultron peered over at me once more. I gave him a blank look. I was not some animal to be looked at. He snarled at me.
"Why? Weren't you leading an invasion a couple years ago?" Ultron questioned.
Loki glanced at Thor,"I've had a change of heart."
Ultron sneered,"Explains why you lost."
"More like surrendered," Agent Barton surprisingly spoke up.
My eyes flickered over to him,"Moving on, lets get this over with. I have more important things to attend to."
The hulk screamed in agreement. I saw Romanoff smile a little. The rest of the avengers straightened as grins stretched across their faces. Ultron growled at me. His eyes flowed brighter, just as my ring did. Diving into everyone's mind briefly, I concluded that Ultron was currently going through the internet to get something on me.
I smirked,"Agent Jackson, and that's all you need to know."
My eyes flashed. I called upon the Soul Gem, and a force hit Ultron so hard he flew backwards into a far off building. All the robots heads swiveled towards me. They knew, but friends and enemies alike stood still for a moment. Then Thor roared for battle.
The robots charged, I disappeared from my place, reappeared next to Loki. His blades were back and he didn't look happy about that.
"I was going to do that," Loki grumbled.
"You were too slow." I countered, drawing my sword.
Then the first robot came. I jumped off of the machine. I impaled the robot from front to back. Tearing my sword out of it, I pivoted, slicing another one in half. I felt a com-link appear in my ear, and I smiled at that. Thanks Loki, I tapped it, activating it.
"Ultron's down right now, don't let that distract you!" Rogers informed.
"Very observant, Captain obvious." Loki mocked.
I chuckled at that, kicking the feet out of another robot. Before it's body hit the ground, my sword went through its head and touched the floor.
"Gotta agree with reindeer ears here, Cap." Stark spoke out,"That's common knowledge."
I ducked as the hairs on my neck stood up. Just in time as Stark flew over my body and tackled a robot who had jumped into the air in attempt to reach the machine. I watched him continue flying in a circle. Another robot had the same idea as it jumped over the scarlet headed girl.
She looked up, her expression in awe. A fast wind almost knocked me over and I realized the silver boy was running through a dozen or so robots. Thor shouted in the joy of battle as lightning danced across his hammer. Several were smashed by his hammer.
Although not as many as Bruce smashed. Romanoff ran around him, picking up on the robots that weren't in his direct line of view. Barton covered her and everyone else with his rapid firing of arrows. The Vision, as I learned from the others, flew around with Stark. He grappled at the robots that became airborne, and tended to stay near the pair of new avengers.
Rogers expertly used his shield in a way only the seasoned warrior could. With Loki and Thor working together on the west, Bruce, Romanoff, and Barton holding the east side, and the siblings on the south, I decided to aid the winter soldier.
I charged north, hopping on top of the shield that flew my way. Once in the air, I flipped over the soldier and stabbed my sword through two robots at the same time. Rogers nodded at me, and retrieved his shield. We all worked together as a team, covering the weak points and advancing in the strong.
Ultron had gotten up from his small blast, but Vision intervened in his path towards me. From Starks mind, I could tell that Vision was ceasing all contact with the network world from Ultron's mind.
Most of the robots were gone now, and there weren't any major injuries. Sure a cut here and there, but nothing unusual. The hairs on my neck rose, and I turned just in time to get tackled by Ultron. I yelled as a heavy piece of metal rolled over me.
We ended up outside of the building. I kicked the metal man off of me. It was like pushing a fridge full to the max. Fat and heavy. Ultron fell off and I hopped to my feet. I spotted my sword off to the side, focusing on the water in the air, I pulled it towards me.
I caught it in my right hand, and spun it expertly. Ultron' face shown surprise, and I smirked at him. He snarled and charged, I waited. I wouldn't play all my cards yet. I leaned back and his metal went right where my head was.
I felt the swish of air as it swept across my face. I stood up again and countered his next move. Jumping up, I landed a hard kick to his abdomen. He stumbled back a step and my sword made a large gash in his torso. He glanced down and snarled viscously at me.
"Pay with your life, Jackson." Ultron growled, attacking again.
I grinned,"Only got one of those! It's kinda priceless."
Just as I was about to impale his metal, I gasped as something hard collided with my head. I stumbled to the side, trying to avoid the robot behind me. Momentarily forgetting about the giant one in front of me. My vision went out for a second, and when I blinked, the blurry form of Ultron appeared.
His fist connected with my body, and my feet left the ground. I groaned as I landed face first on the ground, my ribs probably cracked. He packed one powerful punch, I'll give him that. A loud roar sounded, and when I next glanced up, I was met with Loki's other form.
Giant beautiful blue ice man stood right next to me. The small robot was underneath his foot and his fist was in the last motion it acted in. Ultron was shouting in anger as he flew through the air once again. Loki's fury was hard enough to force Ultron back towards the avengers.
The Vision activated the mind gem, and Thor, and Stark all blasted Ultron, melting his metal. Ultron was powerless against it. Once they all stopped, Ultron growled and started to speak, but Bruce bounded forward, adding his fist into the equation.
Wow these boys were competitive. They both roared in anger, trying to out sound each other in their screams. I shook my head, pulling myself to my feet. I have a pointed look to Loki as he transformed back into his usual form. I raised my eyebrow as he raised his hand in defense, before summoning his staff to lean on.
"Little protective are we?" I asked him knowingly.
"Only for you." Loki smirked.
Tell me what you think...
