The leaves rustled as a lone bus rumbled across the dirt road. Barren and desolate, the area was covered with trees and shrubs shrouded in suffocating darkness. The inhabitants on the bus were whispering among each other, and more than one was anxiously looking out the window, occasionally looking at their phones to determine if they were getting any signal.

All was silent.

The twenty four of them come from different lives. But they are all connected because they chose to get on Bus 351. Some were going home to family, some were going to the neighbouring town; but as the bus rumbled into unfamiliar territory the passengers became worried. They'd been travelling for over an hour through dark forest.

"Excuse me, sir? Do you have any idea when we'll be getting to Scarmont? My family really is expecting me home soon." An unnamed voice spoke from beneath the dim fluorescent lights.

The bus driver was shrouded in black, and his voice was gruff as he spoke. "We'll get there when we get there."

The ride was in nervous silence until a clearing came past the trees. Eager eyes stared out the tinted windows, but they were not met with their destination. High gates rose above the bus at least twenty feet high and the bus rode through a gate that shut with a clang shortly after. A decrepit town, ramshackle houses that had been abandoned for years, that was what greeted them. This was not Scarmont. This was hell.

"Welcome to the Game, passengers. We have arrived at your destination."

Hello readers, and welcome to the Game. Because I am an absolute idiot who comes up with cool ideas and never finishes them (I'm looking at you 'Together'- I promise I'll finish it one day or so help me), this is my latest creation. Envision a mix of Battle Royale and the Hunger Games- people who don't know each other fight to the death in an uninhabited town. Why? That'll be explained a bit later.

This is where you come in. While this idea had come to me while thinking up a new Author Game, unfortunately I feel this would be much better as a one-point-of-view plus 23 other characters mixed in. Therefore, welcome to my newest SYOT.

An SYOT, if you aren't familiar with, consists of readers creating characters for me, in which I then input into the story. It helps both the readers to get interacting, and for me to not have to flesh out 23 similar characters.

Therefore, if you want to help create a character for the story, please read the rules below.

THE RULES

- Reminder that this is NOT fanfiction, and therefore, all of these characters could technically be REAL people. Please create the characters accordingly. All characters come from a nearby fictional town, unless a good, clear reason is given as to why they do not originate from the town. This does NOT mean they will know the people on the bus, because it is unlikely they would have any relation. (Though, by all means, feel free to give a relation.)
- There is no minimum or maximum gender slots allowed, though I would prefer not to have all one gender.
- You may reserve TWO characters, unless I state otherwise.
- With this, you allow me to take your character, keep it until I decide to write this, and either kill them off or make them slightly different, if I feel the need to.

- I'm probably missing something like always, so if you have any questions, just shoot me a comment or PM. This, by the way, may not ever start, or maybe it will. I don't know. But thanks for helping me out anyway!
