I ran to school with Fire around my neck. I was wearing a blue formal shirt, a grey sweater and skirt, and a red and white striped tie.I ran to the school's gates. Mythicals High. This school is supposed to be the most prestigious school in the state. Maybe even the nation! I can't believe my mother has the money to let me go here.

  I heard the school was supposed to be really expensive. Only the richest kids can go here, so how did my mom manage to get the money for this school? I don't know, but it's my first day here, so I'm excited!

  I stopped just outside of the school's gates to catch my breath. The bell rang. Just my luck. I heave myself up and continue jogging to school.

  I got to my locker and started unlocking it, putting my personal things in, getting the stuff for my class, and then running to my first class.

  "Sorry I'm late Mr. Foster!" I heaved, taking my seat.

  "Could you please knock next time you barge in Miss Phoenix?" He asked.

  "Yeah. Sorry about it Mr. Foster." I answered. He nodded and continued on with the algebra lesson.

  I lean back in my seat, trying to catch my breath. My hair from a ponytail was already messy. By the time class let out, I was walking out the door and into the hallway.

  "WATCH OUT!" Someone shouted. I turned around and we hit our foreheads straight on. We both tumbled to the ground. Well, I fell on the back of my head.

  "Sorry about that." They apologized.

  "No problem. Ow my head." I cringe, holding the back of my head.

  "You okay?" He asked. My vision became a little less blurry so I was able to see him clearly. He had black hair and tanned skin. His eyes were like a chocolate brown.

  "I'm fine." I mumble, grabbing my things off the floor.

  "Well, bye." He said, starting to walk away.

  "Hey, wait!" I shout. He turned around. "I didn't catch your name." I tell him.

  "My name is Griffin. How about your name?"

  "My name is Phoenix."

  "It's a nice name."

  "T-thanks." I hide my face in my books. I felt my face heat up. No one's ever complimented my name.
  "See you around?"

  "Yeah. Bye Griffin." I say.

  "See you later Phoenix." He smiled. We start going our separate ways to our next class.
