Prologue

A broken mirror, smoked up and beaten, centered in a small worn-down bathroom setting, ripped curtains and tilted hangers. Candles were lit with a small orange flame, that brightened only a circular piece of the hard-stone sink, or what looked like one. Brighter then the orange tongue of the flame, were two giant eyes reflected dimly in the mirror, amber in color, but stood out as yellow as the tongue of the flame tried desperately to reach them, but so very little energy they had. It wasn't like any fancy homes thought to make up London, but rather the opposite.
Slowly, a figure appeared behind the dark outline reflected in the mirror. The aura was dark, slightly demonic in sight, and the expression revealed by the flame was not any light-hearted. A smirk brimmed from ear-to-ear, and her eyes were narrowed slightly, just above the iris. "You ugly little freak of mine, why are you staring into the mirror? Has it broken because of your sole appearance? It must have, because you are the only monster." A chuckle broke from her raspy throat. "Move slowly, think about it before you leave this little room." With that last word, she turned and slowly, her appearance faded with the dark hall, closing the creaky door behind her.
The eyes focused back to where they had been staring before, images seemed to be reflecting off them as memories and thoughts passed by. I am a monster. I'm a freak. I am as ugly as those men, who stare into the mirror and break them. The memories soon faded to dull eyes and quiet thoughts. The smoke had grown thick, blurring the clear view vision along the room, and the tongue of the flame sprung up, reaching towards the height of the ceiling. With a burst of light, scars were revealed, and the soft appearance of a small child flowed slightly, as a small sense of horror flashed through her eyes.
Run! Run! But no motion happened, feet glued to the ground, and unable to move from the spot where she was standing. The flame snapped and hissed, towering up to tall heights, reaching in all directions. As the tongue reached for in between the yellow gleaming eyes, but then shot away as a loud crackle filled the air. Within seconds, everything was dark. The only source of presence was those same glowing eyes staring into the mirror.
