THE HOLODREAM PROJECT:
At the cockpit of the R-12 Falcon, an unknown fate awaits him...
"Major, the system is requesting automated override. You're veering off course! Major!"
Cedric's head pounded. He refused the automated pilot request, switched off the NeuroLink, and steered toward a nearby water reservoir. If he was going to crash, at least he'd minimize the damage. His hands moved over the controls, activating the emergency landing protocol.
Breathless...fear was taking over him.
"So, this is what it feels like... when you're about to..."
But he already expected such a fate...
"If this ever reaches you... I'm sorry. I couldn't save you. Couldn't save myself. But I'm glad we met. You're the only one who..."
A more complex journey begins with his departure—a path that will both unite and divide. Only Ayelen can save him now. Not just Ayelen...
The Holodream Machine
"The machine allows someone to enter the mind of another—like Cedric, for instance, who's trapped in a coma. But navigating someone else's consciousness requires a specific kind of mind. A jumper's brain needs to be exceptionally strong to endure the mental strain. The key is resilience—they must maintain their identity while interacting with someone else's dreams."
If you LOVE science fiction stories with cutting-edge technology:
The soft hum of the recon vehicle vibrated through the air as it skimmed the surface of the cracked road, the streamlined body cutting through the misty rain like a dagger. The Tesla Nomad X9, with its matte-black, angular armor and anti-grav propulsion, moved like a silent predator across the desolate landscape toward Nozomi. Inside, the cockpit was bathed in a cool blue glow, the central console alive with holographic displays, each flickering with streams of tactical data.
Dystopic yet futuristic locations:
Nozomi, once an industrial powerhouse, now lay forgotten—an abandoned district at the edge of the city, suffocated by its own overproduction and pollution. The structures that lined the road were remnants of a forgotten era, their gleaming metallic surfaces long since dulled by rust and neglect. Towering factories that had once built the future now stood like tombstones, their once-bustling halls silent, their massive chimneys cold and lifeless.
Action-packed scenes:
The soldier pursued, his drones whirring around him, but Orion used the crumbling structure to his advantage, evading their sensors as he leapt down from the platform.
Ayelen's heart raced as she watched the soldier's frustration grow. He climbed up to the platform, but Orion was too quick, launching himself through the shattered window with a calculated leap.
A psychological narrative that involves the complexity of the human brain, the vision of a new yet known world...
"You know, that's just a fancy way of saying you're still failing her. And all of humanity for that matter. Aren't you all the same? You claim to make science for the whole world... but there's always selfishness lurking underneath. It's almost romantic, that you!" He interrupted himself with a psychotic chuckle. "Oh... I'm sorry," he continued, laughing. Then he cleared his throat. "It's almost romantic that you or any of your minions might have feelings."
...and much more.
