"Finally!" Summer shouts in excitement.

"And how many times have we replayed this round?" Dakota asks. Summer looks down.

"five," She says softly. Her face turned red with a bit of embarrassment.

"Don't tease her, Dakota. I bet it would take more rounds for you to even come in 2nd place," Ethan challenges. Dakota laughs nervously.

"I'm not taking that bet." Ethan shakes his head.

"Told ya." He takes the controller Summer had given him and focuses on the game. Dakota rolls her eyes.

"Hey guys," Caleb walks up to the group of teens, "Can I turn the TV onto the news real quick?"

"Sure." Brian hands him the remote and Caleb turns off the game and changes it to the news channel.

"A recent report has been all over the media about the start of what could be a zombie apocalypse." Gasps could be heard around the room as the reporter continues, "The breakout seemed to have happened somewhere here in Ohio, and seems to be spreading quickly."

"A zombie apocalypse? Really?" Alli scoffs. "That has to be some stupid report from a few teens who want to mess with people. There's no way this has happened."

"You don't believe this?!" Evan exclaims. "Even with the evidence they have just shown on the news, you don't believe a single thing?" Alli shakes her head.

"No, I don't. As I said, it has to be kids just trying to mess with people, but I don't think they expected it to become this big." She looks around, seeing people have fear in their eyes. "Wow, you all really believe this, don't you?"

"Well, I don't think it's very fake when there's an actual zombie in the fields across from the garage!" Jade points out the window. Alli walks over to the window to investigate, only to see the zombie Jade was talking about.

"Oh," she said softly. Evan walks up to one of the doors and opens it before entering the room. He comes out moments later with a few knives and heads towards the door.

"Evan," Caleb runs up to his little brother and grabs his arm. "What are you doing?"

"Going out to kill the dang thing." Evan hands a knife to Trinton, who is also by the door.

"No, none of you are going outside. We are all to stay here until night passes, then we will go out and investigate," Caleb instructs.

"But, what if zombies bre-break-in at night?" Dakota glances around the garage, hoping someone has an answer.

"We will take care of them," Brian explains. "If we work together as a group, we can all get through this, right?"

"Maybe," Ethan's tone hinted he was unsure.

"Great, we're all going to die!" Summer exclaims. Ethan pulls her closer to try and comfort her, as she is becoming anxious.

"As long as we keep quiet and store the food away so zombies can't smell it, we should be fine," Chloe assures.

"We have some blankets and pillows in the closet. There also might be an air mattress or two that some people can sleep on. Let's all get the room set up so we can sleep and start fresh with a plan in the morning," Caleb suggests. Everyone looks around before nodding in agreement and scattering around the room to set up their beds.
