'Lacey's POV'

Nya, Lloyd and I rush into the bridge and Nya shouts commands, the guys fly in the door and we start to fly "uh, caution objects in the mirror are closer than they appear" Jay panics "I know, we just need to make it to skatter canyon" Nya says "Nya the odds of us making it to skatter canyon is 7.5 percent" Zane says "never tell me the odds!!!" Nya yells "Nya we're loosing height" Lloyd says looking at a dial "loose some weight, throw things overboard" Nya yells and the guys and I start throwing things overboard "uh guys does anyone ells see the snake getting bigger?" I ask "ya...the more it consumes the bigger it gets!!!don't throw anything ells overboard!!!!" Cole yells and the last thing to be thrown over is sensei's tea and cup.

We make it to skatter canyon "we made it" Nya breathes "not yet we didn't" Kai yells seeing the snake "everybody off!!!" Cole yells "abandon ship!!!" Lloyd yells and Nya once again picks up Lloyd and me in her samurai claw, we all land near a sand dune and watch helplessly as the Great Devourer crushes the bounty, grows bigger and slithers away

A small whispered "no" is all you can hear from anybody "we need safety, maybe we can go back to the serpentine tombs" Jay says "this is all my fault" I hear Lloyd whisper from beside me "no it's not" I say nudging him "c'mon guys, we can't give up now" Kai says "you saw what that thing did to the bounty!!he swallowed it in one big bite Kai!!!" Jay yells "guys a ninja never admits defeat, a ninja always picks himself up when he's down, that's what sensei would have wanted, for us to fight that snake" Kai says "but...sensei's not here anymore" Lloyd says and I put my hand on his shoulder "you guys thinking what I'm thinking?" Kai asks "probably not, but go ahead anyway" Jay replays "no time to explain, follow me!" Kai says turning his sword into a motorcycle.

Kai leads us to a junk yard "great thinking Kai if that thing gets bigger from the more it consumes, this place is a full on buffet!!" Jay yells "no I've got an idea, Zane do you have recordings of the secrete flute?" Kai asks "yes I have the sound recorded in my dada bace" Zane says, playing the recording "ok guys we're going to have to do our biggest tornado of creation yet" Kai says placing the blue prints on the hood of a rusty, old broken down car, they all give it a, once over, and start to make the tornado of creation "earth!!" "ice!!" "fire!!" lightning!!" they all yell out their element and make this huge multi colour tornado, just as the great devourer approaches.

When they come out of the tornado all four of them are sitting in this vehicle with double seats at the back and four seats leading to the front, "now Zane!" Cole yells and Zane shoots, and misses "c'mon Zane this isn't target practice" Jay says as they hook the snake on either side of its neck "now Zane!shoot!" Kai yells and Zane shoots, hitting it on the side of the head "ya!" Lloyd,Nya and I yell, the devourer tunnels underground, whipping it's tale, and hitting the back of the vehicle "Zane!" everyone yells "that was close" Kai says "ya to close, look" Cole points to Zane and half of his face is robotic.

"Guys did you see that, it had a weak spot, on its forehead" Kai says "ok Kai, let me make a note of that: big snake has little, iddy biddy weak spot on its forehead, that will be totally impossible to get to, because ITS TO RIDICULOUSLY HUGE!!!!" Jay yells "you done yet?" Nya asks "yes" he sighs "ok because we have to catch that thing" she says "ya if it eats the biggest town in all of Ninjago there WILL be no stopping it" Cole says and they get into in their elemental vehicles, and Nya makes room for Lloyd and I in her samurai suit.

We fly to Ninjago and find the devourer terrorizing the city, we get their a while after the guys and see them trying to fight the great devourer but they are no match,

The devourer is about to bite down on some cars but Nya stops it by getting a lamp post and putting it between his jaws "eww his breath smells worse than Coles chilli" Lloyd says causing me to laugh "hey" Cole says sounding quite offended, something happens with the suit and we can't get out of the devourer's mouth "Nya get out of there!!" Cole yells "I'm trying!" she yells and we end up being thrown to the ground, and crawling out of Nya's suit "well that hurt" I say "yep it did" Lloyd agrees "guys!wath out!!" Nya yells and I whip my head around to see the devourer about to smash down and eat the guys.

A dragon with four heads attacks the devourer "hey Rocky!!" Cole yells "the dragons back" Jay says "it looks like they too have reached their full potential" Zane says as the dragon gets hit to the ground "no!" I yell running over to it and crossing roads with the devourer "oh no" I whisper looking the huge snake in the eye, the snake launches itself forward, towards me and all I can do is stand their and watch "Lacey!!!" Lloyd yells grabbing me by the waist and pulling me out of the way.

We hit the ground hard and he helps me up "are you ok" he asks breathlessly "ya thanks" I pant back and we run to the dragon and the guys "be careful, Lacey" Kai says to me "sorry" I say "if Lloyd hadn't saved you that snake would have killed-" Kai gets cut off "I think she gets it Kai" Cole says patting one of the dragons heads "what are we gonna do?" Lloyd asks "give me the weapons" a males voice comes from behind us "dad?" Lloyd asks "I am the only one who can handle all four weapons at once" he says

"Aren't we supposed to do everything in our power not to let him get the golden weapons?" Jay asks "I've ran every other situation through my data bace, it seems to be the only way" Zane says "give them to me-" he gets cut off "ya ya, just go, it has a weak spot on its head" Kai says "just get it to stay in one spot!" He yells running away "stay in one spot?!" Jay panics "I've got an idea, Nya get Lacey and Lloyd to the top of that building" Cole says pointing to the top of a tall building "got it, let's go" she says starting to run toward the building.

Lloyd and I follow her and start climbing stairs "come on guys" she says "Nya we're trying, you have longer legs than us" I say "c'mon you two are going to save Ninjago someday" she says "what?" I ask "your going to help me fight my father" Lloyd says from behind me "cool" I say and I hear Nya laugh a bit

When we reach the top we can see that the guys have got the Great Devourer to stay in one spot by getting it to wrap itself around multiple buildings "dad!" Lloyd yells pointing to the top of a building "evil runs through my veins because you bit me, now see what it feels like to be bitten back!" lord Garmadon yells, jumping off of the building with the four elemental weapons in his four hands.

He lands on the weak spot on the devourers forehead, releasing green goop that forces Nya, Lloyd and me off of the roof top, we end up colliding with the guys until the goo starts to evaporate or whatever it is that goo does.

What just happened feels like a dream but I know that worse is to come, this is my new life, this is where I belong.

I look to Lloyd who looks like he might cry, I nudge him with my elbow "good job" says an older sounding voice "sensei!" we all yell "good job ninjas" he says again

I feel someone poke on my shoulder and turn around "Ally!!" I yell hugging her and I feel all eyes land on us "who's this?" sensei asks "this is Ally my only friend from my old school" I tell them "shoe Lace?" she asks "yes Ally?" I prompt "everybody who's house was destroyed is staying in the park including me, will you guys stay too?" She asks "can we sensei?" I ask sensei "of corse we can" sensei replies "yes!" Ally and I yell and high-five"Ally" calls her mother "coming mom" she yells "see you later than?" She asks "yep" I say and she runs to her mom. "Shoe Lace?" Lloyd asks "she's been calling me shoe Lace forever" I tell him smiling.

*later that night*

"Hey shoe Lace" Ally calls me over to the pond "where's Tori?" she asks "umm...she was serpentine and she was killed" I say "she was serpentine?" Ally asks and I nod "hey Lacey" Lloyd calls coming up to us "hey, Ally this is Lloyd, Lloyd this is Ally" I introduce them "hi" Lloyd says "hey" she nudges me in the ribcage an it hurts more than it should "I'm gonna grab a water, you guys want one" she asks "ya shure, thanks" Lloyd and I talk at the same time again, Ally laughs and walks away.

"Theirs our little comic book nerd" a snobby voice says and I turn to see my enemies Clara, Maxine and Sally. Clara has brown hair and light brown eyes, Maxine has red hair and dark blue eyes and Sally has black hair with pink streaks and green eyes."Clara" I say "I see you still have your dumb blonde hair" she says "hey back off" Lloyd says from beside me "why are you defending her cutie" Clara asks twirling her hair around her finger "because she's my best friend" Lloyd says and I get this great warm, fuzzy feeling in my stomach "ugh!" Clara growls pushing me into the pond.

I panic because I never learned to swim, I splash around, struggling to keep myself on top of the water and make my way to land, gasping for air "oh and this" she says taking my mothers necklace from my neck "is great fish food" she smiles throwing it into the pond and walking away "no!" I dive back into the water, I try to get my self back above water again but it is no use, I can't swim. The water wraps around me like a blanket. My lungs burn, screaming for air.

'Lloyd's POV'

"Guys!!!! Guys!!!!" I scream "what Lloyd" Kai asks as they all come over "hurry Lacey is in the water and she can't swim" I say starting to cry "what?" that ask "I'll explain later just save her" I plead.

'Lacey's POV'

I feel two strong arms wrap around me and pull me to land, I see Cole put me down, I land on the soft grass and get as much air into my lungs as possible I get a massive headache but don't tell anybody "Lacey" Lloyd hugs me and I push my face into his shoulder muffling a sob "Lacey what happened?" Nya asks "Clara took my mothers necklace and threw it in the pond, so I went in after it" I say "it was the only thing I had left of her" I say into Lloyd's shoulder. Zane jumps into the water and we all watch "what's he doing?" I ask "just wait" Cole answers as Zane comes out "is this your necklace" Zane says holding my mothers necklace in his wet hand "yes! Zane thank you so much" I say as more tears flood my cheeks, he hands me the necklace and they all go back to what they where doing.

I sit on the grass and Lloyd puts a green zip up hoodie around my shoulders and it smells like laundry detergent, it smells like Lloyd. "thanks" I say pulling it over my arms "I hope it's ok, it's all I have after the Devourer destroyed the bounty" he says "ya it's very warm" I say as he puts my moms necklace back around my neck "Lacey I am so sorry that took so long the line was huge" Ally says coming back over with three water bottles, she throws one at me "thanks" I say "who's sweater is that?" she asks "mine" Lloyd answers not thinking anything of it, and neither did I until Ally said something, she gives me her 'you so like him' look and I give her a deth stare "can you two read each other's minds or something?" Lloyd asks "no, but we can speak to each other via facial expressions" Ally says and we all start to laugh.

We talk and laugh until Ally's mom comes to get her "Ally time for bed" she calls "kay mom" she calls "bye shoe Lace" she says hugging me "bye Ally" I say as she runs to her mom and waves to me, I wave back and as soon as she's gone I realize that this whole day was not a dream, it was real, my sister is actually a serpentine and now she's dead.

My vision goes blurry with tears and I hold them in for as long as I can, until they fall uncontrollably down my cheeks, I fall to my knees and put my hands to my face "Lacey" Lloyd's voice sounds softer than usual "it's going to be ok" he says and I hear him kneel down beside me "Lloyd I miss her" I say crying "I know you do" he says rubbing my back "she was all I had, after my father died and my mom left us" I cry

"What's your family like" I ask wanting to get off the subject of my family "well sensei is my uncle, and as you know the one we have to fight, lord Garamdon is my father, but I never knew my mother, she dropped me off at Darkly's and left me there" he says and I see his eyes gloss over "Lloyd I'm so sorry" I say putting my hand over his on the grass "no, you've gone through basically what I have, so you shouldn't be sorry" he says forcing a smile "and I think of you and the guys as family now too" he says and I see the twinkle in his eye, that means that the smile is now real "same" I say.

"BOO!!!" the guys and Nya jump out of the bushes and both Lloyd and I scream "I got this" he says creating a green energy ball, he shoots it and the ball hits a tree, "ya you got that tree alright" I say as I laugh so hard that my stomach hurts "hey" he laughs and pushes me "how do you feel Lacey?" Zane asks "I feel fine" I tell them "are you shure" sensei asks coming over "yes I feel fine" I say still not telling them about my headache "your lying" Lloyd says "what?!" I ask "your hand is shaking a bit, I've learned that that means your lying" Lloyd says and I look down to my hand and get it to stop shaking, I didn't even know that I was shaking "ok fine, I've got a head ache" I sigh "just as I thought" sensei says handing me the root of a plant

I take it and eye it suspiciously "it is a medical root, but we must get you to your tent before you eat it because it puts you to sleep as well as heals any injuries" sensei says leading me to Nya and I's tent and opening the door, inside there are two blow up matrices with sleeping bags on them "which one do you want?" Nya asks "I'll take that one" I say pointing to the one on the right "ok" she says and I get in the sleeping bag and eat the root, the root works fast and the dark blanket of sleep soon takes over my mind and body.
